Ézéchiel 42
1 Puis il me fit sortir dans le parvis extérieur, du côté du nord. Puis il me fit entrer dans la pièce qui était en face du lieu séparé, et qui était en face du bâtiment vers le nord.
And he brought me forth into the outward court by the way that leadeth to the north, and he brought me into the chamber that was over against the separate building, and over against the house toward the north.
2 En face, la porte nord avait une longueur de cent coudées, et une largeur de cinquante coudées.
In the face of the north door was the length of a hundred cubits, and the breadth of fifty cubits.
3 En face des vingt coudées qui appartenaient au parvis intérieur, et en face du pavement qui appartenait au parvis extérieur, il y avait galerie contre galerie dans les trois étages.
Over against the twenty cubits of the inner court, and over against the pavement of the outward court that was paved with stone, where there was a gallery joined to a triple gallery.
4 Devant les chambres, il y avait une allée de dix coudées de largeur vers l'intérieur, un chemin d'une coudée, et leurs portes étaient orientées vers le nord.
And before the chambers was a walk ten cubits broad, looking to the inner parts of a way of one cubit. And their doors were toward the north.
5 Or, les salles supérieures étaient plus courtes, car les galeries leur prenaient plus de place qu'aux salles inférieures et centrales de l'édifice.
Where were the store chambers lower above: because they bore up the galleries, which appeared above out of them from the lower parts, and from the midst of the building.
6 Car elles étaient à trois étages, et elles n'avaient pas de piliers comme les piliers des parvis. C'est pourquoi le plus haut était plus en retrait du sol que le plus bas et le milieu.
For they were of three stories, and had not pillars, as the pillars of the courts: therefore did they appear above out of the lower places, and out of the middle places, fifty cubits from the ground.
7 Le mur extérieur, du côté des chambres, vers le parvis extérieur, devant les chambres, avait une longueur de cinquante coudées.
And the outward wall that went about by the chambers, which were towards the outward court on the forepart of the chambers, was fifty cubits long.
8 Car la longueur des chambres du parvis extérieur était de cinquante coudées. Celles qui étaient tournées vers le temple avaient cent coudées.
For the length of the chambers of the outward court was fifty cubits: and the length before the face of the temple, a hundred cubits.
9 Au-dessous de ces chambres se trouvait l'entrée du côté de l'est, comme on y entre depuis le parvis extérieur.
And there was under these chambers, an entrance from the east, for them that went into them out of the outward court.
10 Dans l'épaisseur du mur du parvis, à l'orient, devant le lieu de séparation et devant le bâtiment, il y avait des chambres.
In the breadth of the outward wall of the court that was toward the east, over against the separate building, and there were chambers before the building.
11 Le chemin devant elles était semblable à l'aspect des chambres qui étaient vers le nord. Leur longueur et leur largeur étaient les mêmes. Toutes leurs issues avaient la même disposition et les mêmes portes.
And the way before them was like the chambers which were toward the north: they wore as long as they, and as broad as they: and all the going is to them, and their fashions, and their doors were alike.
12 Comme les portes des chambres situées au sud, il y avait une porte à la tête du chemin, le chemin situé devant le mur, à l'est, comme on y entre.
According to the doors of the chambers that were towards the south: there was a door in the head of the way, which way was before the porch, separated towards the east as one entereth in.
13 Et il me dit: « Les chambres du nord et les chambres du sud, qui sont en face du lieu séparé, sont les chambres saintes, où les prêtres qui sont près de l'Éternel mangeront les choses très saintes. Ils y déposeront les choses très saintes, avec l'offrande, le sacrifice pour le péché et le sacrifice de culpabilité, car le lieu est saint.
And he said to me: The chambers of the north, and the chambers of the south, which are before the separate building: they are holy chambers, in which the priests shall eat, that approach to the Lord into the holy of holies: there they shall lay the most holy things, and the offering for sin, and for trespass: for it is a holy place.
14 Lorsque les prêtres seront entrés, ils ne sortiront pas du lieu saint pour aller dans le parvis extérieur avant d'avoir déposé les vêtements dans lesquels ils font leur service, car ils sont saints. Puis ils revêtiront d'autres vêtements, et s'approcheront de ce qui est pour le peuple. »
And when the priests shall have entered in, they shall not go out of the holy places into the outward court: but there they shall lay their vestments, wherein they minister, for they are holy: and they shall put on other garments, and so they shall go forth to the people.
15 Lorsqu'il eut fini de mesurer la maison intérieure, il me fit sortir par le chemin de la porte qui est à l'orient, et il mesura tout autour.
Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me out by the way of the gate that looked toward the east: and he measured it on every side round about.
16 Il mesura à l'orient, avec le roseau de mesure, cinq cents roseaux, avec le roseau de mesure tout autour.
And he measured toward the east with the measuring reed, five hundred reeds with the measuring reed round about.
17 Il mesura du côté nord cinq cents roseaux, avec le roseau de mesure tout autour.
And he measured toward the north five hundred reeds with the measuring reed round about.
18 Il mesura au sud cinq cents cannes, avec la canne à mesurer.
And towards the south he measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed round about.
19 Il tourna du côté de l'occident, et mesura cinq cents cannes avec la canne à mesurer.
And toward the west he measured five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed.
20 Il la mesura sur ses quatre côtés. Elle était entourée d'un mur, long de cinq cents coudées et large de cinq cents coudées, pour séparer ce qui était saint de ce qui était commun.
By the four winds he measured the wall thereof on every side round about, five hundred cubits long and five hundred cubits broad, making a separation between the sanctuary and the place of the people.
