Ézéchiel 28
1 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée, en ces termes:
The word of the LORD came again to me, saying,
2 « Fils d'homme, dis au prince de Tyr: « Le Seigneur Yahvé parle: « Parce que ton cœur est élevé, et tu as dit: « Je suis un dieu », Je suis assis sur le siège de Dieu, au milieu des mers; pourtant vous êtes un homme, et pas de Dieu, bien que tu aies mis ton cœur comme le cœur d'un dieu...
Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thy heart [is] lifted up, and thou hast said, I [am] a god, I sit [in] the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou [art] a man, and not God, though thou settest thy heart as the heart of God:
3 Voici, vous êtes plus sage que Daniel. Il n'y a aucun secret qui vous est caché.
Behold, thou [art] wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:
4 Par ta sagesse et par ton intelligence, tu t'es procuré des richesses, et avez obtenu de l'or et de l'argent dans vos trésors.
With thy wisdom and with thy understanding thou hast gained for thee riches, and hast gained gold and silver into thy treasures:
5 Par ta grande sagesse et par votre commerce vous avez augmenté vos richesses, et ton cœur s'élève à cause de tes richesses... »
By thy great wisdom [and] by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thy heart is lifted up because of thy riches:
6 "'C'est pourquoi le Seigneur Yahvé dit: « Parce que tu as mis ton cœur comme le cœur de Dieu,
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thy heart as the heart of God;
7 donc, voici, je vais faire venir des étrangers sur vous, le terrible des nations. Ils tireront leurs épées contre la beauté de ta sagesse. Ils vont souiller votre éclat.
Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.
8 Ils te feront descendre dans la fosse. Vous mourrez de la mort de ceux qui sont tués. au cœur des mers.
They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of [them that are] slain in the midst of the seas.
9 Direz-vous encore devant celui qui vous tuera: « Je suis Dieu »? Mais vous êtes un homme, et non Dieu, dans la main de celui qui vous blesse.
Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I [am] God? but thou [shalt be] a man, and no god, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.
10 Vous mourrez de la mort des incirconcis. par la main d'étrangers; car c'est moi qui l'ai dit, dit le Seigneur Yahvé.'"
Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken [it], saith the Lord GOD.
11 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée, en ces termes:
Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
12 « Fils d'homme, élève une complainte sur le roi de Tyr, et dis-lui: 'Le Seigneur Yahvé dit': « Tu étais le sceau de la pleine mesure, plein de sagesse, et d'une beauté parfaite.
Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
13 Vous étiez en Eden, le jardin de Dieu. Toutes les pierres précieuses t'ont orné: rubis, topaze, émeraude, chrysolite, onyx, jaspe, saphir, turquoise, et béryl. Travail de l'or sur les tambourins et de tuyaux était en vous. Ils ont été préparés le jour où vous avez été créé.
Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone [was] thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
14 Tu étais le chérubin oint qui couvre. Puis je t'ai installé sur la montagne sainte de Dieu. Vous avez marché de long en large au milieu des pierres de feu.
Thou [art] the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee [so]: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Tu as été parfait dans tes voies dès le jour où tu as été créé, jusqu'à ce que l'iniquité soit trouvée en vous.
Thou [wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
16 Par l'abondance de ton commerce, tes entrailles ont été remplies de violence, et vous avez péché. C'est pourquoi je vous ai chassés de la montagne de Dieu, comme profanes. Je t'ai détruit, chérubin protecteur, du milieu des pierres de feu.
By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 Ton cœur s'est élevé à cause de ta beauté. Tu as corrompu ta sagesse à cause de ta splendeur. Je t'ai jeté à terre. Je t'ai présenté aux rois, pour qu'ils puissent te voir.
Thy heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
18 Par la multitude de vos iniquités, dans l'iniquité de ton commerce, vous avez profané vos sanctuaires. C'est pourquoi j'ai fait sortir un feu du milieu de toi. Il vous a dévoré. Je t'ai réduit en cendres sur la terre. aux yeux de tous ceux qui te voient.
Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thy iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
19 Tous ceux qui te connaissent parmi les peuples seront étonnés de toi. Vous êtes devenu une terreur, et vous n'existerez plus. »'"
All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never [shalt] thou [be] any more.
20 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée, en ces termes:
Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
21 « Fils d'homme, tourne ta face vers Sidon, prophétise contre elle,
Son of man, set thy face against Zidon, and prophesy against it,
22 et dis: « Le Seigneur Yahvé parle: « Voici, je suis contre toi, Sidon. Je serai glorifié parmi vous. Alors ils sauront que je suis Yahvé, quand j'ai exécuté des jugements en elle, et je suis sanctifié en elle.
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] against thee, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.
23 Car je vais envoyer la peste en elle, et du sang dans ses rues. Les blessés tomberont en elle, avec l'épée sur elle de tous les côtés. Alors ils sauront que je suis Yahvé.
For I will send into her pestilence, and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall be judged in the midst of her by the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I [am] the LORD.
24 "''Il n'y aura plus de ronce piquante pour la maison d'Israël, ni d'épine blessante pour ceux qui les entourent et qui les ont méprisés. Alors ils sauront que je suis le Seigneur Yahvé. »
And there shall be no more a pricking brier to the house of Israel, nor [any] grieving thorn of all [that are] around them, that despised them; and they shall know that I [am] the Lord GOD.
25 "'Le Seigneur Yahvé dit: « Quand j'aurai rassemblé la maison d'Israël du milieu des peuples où elle est dispersée, et que je me serai montré saint au milieu d'elle aux yeux des nations, alors ils habiteront leur pays que j'ai donné à mon serviteur Jacob.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob.
26 Ils y habiteront en sécurité. Oui, ils construiront des maisons, planteront des vignes, et ils habiteront en sécurité quand j'aurai exécuté les jugements sur tous ceux qui les entourent et qui les ont traités avec mépris. Alors ils sauront que je suis Yahvé leur Dieu. »'"
And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yes, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them around them; and they shall know that I [am] the LORD their God.
