Exode 23
1 « Tu ne répandras pas de fausses nouvelles. Ne joins pas ta main au méchant pour être un témoin malveillant.
Thou schalt not resseyue a vois of leesyng, nether thou schalt ioyne thin hond, that thou seie fals witnessyng for a wickid man.
2 « Tu ne suivras pas une foule pour faire le mal. Tu ne témoigneras pas au tribunal pour te ranger du côté d'une multitude afin de pervertir la justice.
Thou schalt not sue the cumpanye to do yuel, nether thou schalt ascente to the sentence of ful many men in doom, that thou go awey fro treuthe.
3 Tu ne favoriseras pas un pauvre dans sa cause.
Also thou schalt not haue mercy of a pore man in a `cause, ethir doom.
4 « Si tu rencontres le bœuf de ton ennemi ou son âne qui s'égare, tu le ramèneras à lui.
If thou meetist `the oxe of thin enemye, ethir the asse errynge, lede thou ayen to hym.
5 Si tu vois l'âne de celui qui te hait tomber sous son fardeau, ne le laisse pas. Tu l'aideras à le porter.
If thou seest that the asse of hym that hatith thee liggyth vndir a burthun, thou schalt not passe, but thou schalt reise with hym.
6 « Tu ne refuseras pas la justice à tes pauvres gens dans leurs procès.
Thou schalt not bowe in the doom of a pore man.
7 « Éloigne-toi d'une fausse accusation, et ne tue pas l'innocent et le juste, car je ne justifierai pas les méchants.
Thou schalt fle a lesyng. Thou schalt not sle an innocent man, and iust; for Y am aduersarie to a wickid man.
8 « Tu ne prendras pas de pot-de-vin, car le pot-de-vin aveugle les voyants et pervertit les paroles des justes.
Take thou not yiftis, that blynden also prudent men, and destryen the wordys of iust men.
9 « Tu n'opprimeras pas l'étranger, car tu connais le cœur de l'étranger, puisque vous étiez étrangers au pays d'Égypte.
Thou schalt not be diseseful to a pilgrym, for ye knowen the soulis of comelyngis, for also ye weren pilgryms in the lond of Egipt.
10 « Pendant six ans, tu ensemenceras ta terre et tu en recueilleras le produit,
Sixe yeer thou schalt sowe thi lond, and thou schalt gadre fruytis therof;
11 mais la septième année, tu la laisseras en repos et en jachère, afin que les pauvres de ton peuple puissent manger; et ce qu'ils laisseront, les animaux des champs le mangeront. De même, tu traiteras ta vigne et ton oliveraie de la même manière.
forsothe in the seuenthe yeer thou schalt leeue it, and schalt make to reste, that the pore men of thi puple ete, and what euer is residue, the beestis of the feeld ete; so thou schalt do in thi vyner, and in place of olyue trees.
12 « Six jours tu feras ton travail, et le septième jour tu te reposeras, afin que ton bœuf et ton âne se reposent, et que le fils de ton serviteur et l'étranger se rafraîchissent.
Sixe dayes thou schalt worche, in the seuenthe dai thou schalt ceesse, that thin oxe and asse reste, and the sone of thin handmaide, and the comelyng be refreischid.
13 « Prends garde de faire tout ce que je t'ai dit; n'invoque pas le nom d'autres dieux et ne les fais pas entendre de ta bouche.
Kepe ye alle thingis, whiche Y seide to you; and ye schulen not swere bi the name of alien goddis, nether it schal be herd of youre mouth.
14 « Vous célébrerez une fête en mon honneur trois fois par an.
In thre tymes bi alle yeeris ye schulen halewe feestis to me.
15 Vous observerez la fête des pains sans levain. Pendant sept jours, vous mangerez des pains sans levain, comme je vous l'ai ordonné, au moment fixé dans le mois d'Abib (car c'est pendant ce mois que vous êtes sortis d'Égypte), et personne ne se présentera devant moi à vide.
Thou schalt kepe the solempnyte of therf looues; seuene daies thou schalt ete therf breed, as Y comaundide to thee, in the tyme of monethe of newe thingis, whanne thou yedist out of Egipt; thou schalt not appere voide in my siyt.
16 Et la fête de la moisson, des prémices de vos travaux, que vous avez semés dans les champs; et la fête de la récolte, à la fin de l'année, quand vous rassemblez vos travaux des champs.
And thou schalt kepe the solempnete of the monethe of the firste thingis of thi werk, what euer thingis thou hast sowe in the feeld. Also thou schalt kepe the solempnyte in the goyng out of the yeer, whanne thou hast gaderid all thi fruytis of the feeld.
17 Trois fois par an, tous vos mâles se présenteront devant le Seigneur Yahvé.
Thries in the yeer al thi male kynde schal appere bifore thi Lord God.
18 « Tu n'offriras pas le sang de mon sacrifice avec du pain levé. La graisse de mon festin ne restera pas toute la nuit jusqu'au matin.
Thou schalt not offre the blood of thi slayn sacrifice on sour douy; nether the fatnesse of my solempnete schal dwelle til to the morewtid.
19 Tu apporteras les premiers fruits de ton sol dans la maison de l'Éternel, ton Dieu. « Tu ne feras pas bouillir un chevreau dans le lait de sa mère.
Thou schalt bere the firste thingis of the fruytis of thi lond in to the hows of thi Lord God. Thou schalt not sethe a kide in the mylke of his modir.
20 « Voici, j'envoie un ange devant toi, pour te garder en chemin et te faire entrer dans le lieu que j'ai préparé.
Lo! Y schal sende myn aungel, that schal go bifore thee, and schal kepe in the weie, and schal lede to the place which Y haue maad redi to thee.
21 Prends garde à lui, et écoute sa voix. Ne le provoque pas, car il ne pardonnera pas ta désobéissance, car mon nom est en lui.
Take thou hede to hym, and here thou his vois, nether gesse thou hym to be dispisid; for he schal not foryyue, whanne thou synnest, and my name is in him.
22 Mais si vous écoutez vraiment sa voix, et si vous faites tout ce que je dis, alors je serai l'ennemi de vos ennemis, et l'adversaire de vos adversaires.
For if thou herest his vois, and doist alle thingis whiche Y speke, Y schal be enemy to thin enemyes, and Y schal turment hem, that turmenten thee;
23 Car mon ange marchera devant toi, et te conduira vers l'Amoréen, le Héthien, le Phérézien, le Cananéen, le Hévien et le Jébusien, et je les exterminerai.
and myn aungel schal go bifore thee, and he schal lede yn thee to Amorrei, and Ethei, and Ferezei, and Cananey, and Euey, and Jebusei, whiche Y schal breke.
24 Tu ne te prosterneras pas devant leurs dieux, tu ne les serviras pas et tu ne suivras pas leurs pratiques, mais tu les écraseras et tu détruiras leurs piliers.
Thou schalt not onoure `the goddis of hem, nether thou schalt worschipe hem; thou schalt not do the werkis of hem, but thou schalt destrie the goddis, and thou schalt breke the ymagis of hem.
25 Tu serviras Yahvé ton Dieu, il bénira ton pain et ton eau, et j'éloignerai la maladie du milieu de toi.
And ye schulen serue to youre Lord God, that Y blesse thi looues, and watris, and do awei sikenesse fro the myddis of thee;
26 Personne ne fera de fausse couche ni ne sera stérile dans votre pays. J'accomplirai le nombre de vos jours.
neithir a womman vnfruytful, neither bareyn, schal be in thi lond; Y schal fille the noumbre of thi daies.
27 J'enverrai ma terreur devant toi, je confondrai tous les peuples que tu rencontreras, et je ferai en sorte que tous tes ennemis te tournent le dos.
Y schal sende my drede in to thi biforgoyng, and Y schal sle al the puple, to which thou schalt entre, and Y schal turne the backis of alle thin enemyes bifore thee;
28 J'enverrai devant toi le frelon qui chassera devant toi l'Hivvite, le Cananéen et le Héthien.
and Y schal sende out bifore scrabrouns, that schulen dryue awei Euey, and Cananey, and Ethei, bifore that thou entre.
29 Je ne les chasserai pas devant toi en une seule année, de peur que le pays ne devienne désert et que les animaux des champs ne se multiplient contre toi.
Y schal not caste hem out fro thi face in o yeer, lest the lond be turned in to wildirnesse, and beestis encreesse ayens thee;
30 Je les chasserai peu à peu de devant toi, jusqu'à ce que tu aies augmenté et que tu aies hérité du pays.
litil and litil I schal caste hem out fro thi siyt, til thou be encreessid, and welde the loond.
31 Je fixerai tes limites depuis la mer Rouge jusqu'à la mer des Philistins, et depuis le désert jusqu'au fleuve; car je livrerai entre tes mains les habitants du pays, et tu les chasseras devant toi.
Forsothe Y schal sette thi termys fro the reed see til to the see of Palestyns, and fro desert til to the flood. Y schal yyue to youre hondis the dwelleris of the lond, and Y schal caste hem out fro youre siyt;
32 Tu ne feras aucune alliance avec eux, ni avec leurs dieux.
thou schalt not make boond of pees with hem, nethir with `the goddis of hem.
33 Ils n'habiteront pas dans ton pays, de peur qu'ils ne te fassent pécher contre moi, car si tu sers leurs dieux, ce sera un piège pour toi. »
Dwelle thei not in thi lond, lest perauenture thei make thee to do synne ayens me, yf thou seruest her goddis, which thing certis schal be to thee in to sclaundir.
