Ecclésiaste 9
1 Car tout cela, je l'ai mis dans mon cœur, jusqu'à l'explorer: que le juste et le sage, et leurs œuvres, sont dans la main de Dieu; que ce soit l'amour ou la haine, l'homme ne le sait pas; tout est devant eux.
For all this I have given to heart my and to make clear all this that the righteous and the wise and deeds their [are] in [the] hand of God both love as well as hatred not [is] knowing humankind everything [is] before them.
2 Tout se passe de la même manière pour tous. Il y a un même événement pour le juste et pour le méchant, pour le bon, pour le pur, pour l'impur, pour celui qui sacrifie et pour celui qui ne sacrifie pas. Tel est le bon, tel est le pécheur; celui qui fait un serment, comme celui qui craint un serment.
All [is] just as for all fate one [belongs] to the righteous and to the wicked to the good (and to the evil *X*) and to the clean and to the unclean and to the [one who] sacrifices and to [one] who not he [is] sacrificing as the good [person] as the sinner the [one who] swears an oath just as an oath [one] fearing.
3 C'est un mal dans tout ce qui se fait sous le soleil, qu'il y ait un seul événement pour tous. Oui aussi, le cœur des fils de l'homme est rempli de mal, et la folie est dans leur cœur tant qu'ils vivent, et après cela ils vont chez les morts.
This - [is] an evil in all that it is done under the sun for fate one [belongs] to everyone and also [the] heart of [the] children of humankind [is] full evil and madness [is] in heart their in lives their and after it to the dead.
4 Pour celui qui est uni à tous les vivants, il y a de l'espoir; car un chien vivant vaut mieux qu'un lion mort.
For who? [is [the] one] who (he is united *Q(K)*) to all the living there [is] hope for to a dog living it [is] good more than the lion dead.
5 Car les vivants savent qu'ils vont mourir, mais les morts ne savent rien, et ils n'ont plus de récompense, car leur mémoire est oubliée.
For the living [are] knowing that they will die and the dead not they [are] knowing anything and not still [belongs] to them a reward for it is forgotten memory their.
6 De même, leur amour, leur haine et leur envie ont disparu depuis longtemps; et ils n'ont plus de part pour toujours à tout ce qui se fait sous le soleil.
Both love their as well as hatred their as well as envy their already it has perished and a portion not [belongs] to them again for ever in all that it is done under the sun.
7 Va, mange ton pain avec joie, et bois ton vin avec un cœur joyeux, car Dieu a déjà accepté tes œuvres.
Go eat with gladness food your and drink with a heart good wine your for already he has taken pleasure in God deeds your.
8 Que tes vêtements soient toujours blancs, et que ta tête ne manque pas d'huile.
At every time let them be clothes your white and oil on head your may not it be lacking.
9 Vis dans la joie avec la femme que tu aimes, tous les jours de ta vie de vanité, qu'il t'a donnée sous le soleil, tous tes jours de vanité, car c'est là ta part dans la vie, et dans le travail que tu fais sous le soleil.
See life with a wife whom you love all [the] days of [the] life of futility your which he has given to you under the sun all [the] days of futility your for that [is] portion your in life and in toil your which you [are] a laborer under the sun.
10 Tout ce que ta main trouve à faire, fais-le avec ta force; car il n'y a ni œuvre, ni plan, ni connaissance, ni sagesse, dans le séjour des morts où tu vas. (Sheol h7585)
All that it finds hand your to do with strength your do for there not [is] work and explanation and knowledge and wisdom in Sheol where you [are] going there towards. (Sheol h7585)
11 Je suis revenu et j'ai vu sous le soleil que la course n'est pas pour les rapides, ni la bataille pour les forts, ni le pain pour les sages, ni la richesse pour les intelligents, ni la faveur pour les habiles; mais le temps et le hasard leur arrivent à tous.
I returned and I saw under the sun that not [belongs] to the swift the race and not [belongs] to the mighty [men] the battle and also not [belongs] to wise [people] food and also not [belongs] to the understanding wealth and also not [belongs] to the knowledgeable favor for time and chance it happens to all of them.
12 Car l'homme aussi ne connaît pas son temps. Comme les poissons qui sont pris dans un mauvais filet, et comme les oiseaux qui sont pris au piège, ainsi les fils de l'homme sont pris au piège dans un mauvais moment, quand il leur tombe dessus tout à coup.
For also not he knows humankind time his like fish that [are] caught in a net evil and like birds that are caught in snare like them [are] ensnared [the] children of humankind to a time evil when that falls on them suddenly.
13 J'ai aussi vu la sagesse sous le soleil de cette manière, et elle m'a paru grande.
Also this I have seen wisdom under the sun and [was] great it to me.
14 Il y avait une petite ville, et peu d'hommes à l'intérieur; un grand roi vint contre elle, l'assiégea, et construisit contre elle de grands remparts.
A city small and men in it [were] few and he came against it a king great and he surrounded it and he built on it siege works great.
15 Il s'y trouva un pauvre sage qui, par sa sagesse, délivra la ville; mais personne ne se souvenait de ce pauvre homme.
And someone found in it a man poor wise and he delivered he the city by wisdom his and anyone not he remembered the man poor (that. *L(abh)*)
16 Alors j'ai dit: « La sagesse vaut mieux que la force. » Cependant la sagesse du pauvre homme est méprisée, et ses paroles ne sont pas écoutées.
And I said I [is] good wisdom more than strength and [the] wisdom of the poor [person] [is] despised and words his not they [are] listened to.
17 Les paroles des sages, entendues dans le calme, valent mieux que le cri de celui qui domine parmi les insensés.
[the] words of Wise [people] in quietness [are] heard more than [the] cry of a ruler among fools.
18 La sagesse vaut mieux que les armes de guerre, mais un seul pécheur détruit beaucoup de bien.
[is] good Wisdom more than weapons of war and a sinner one he will destroy good much.
