Deutéronome 3
1 Puis nous nous tournâmes, et nous montâmes par le chemin de Basan. Og, roi de Basan, sortit contre nous, lui et tout son peuple, pour nous combattre à Édréi.
And we turned and we went up [the] way of Bashan and he came forth Og [the] king of Bashan to meet us he and all people his for battle Edrei.
2 Yahvé me dit: « Ne le crains pas, car je l'ai livré entre tes mains, avec tout son peuple et son pays. Tu lui feras ce que tu as fait à Sihon, roi des Amoréens, qui habitait à Heshbon. »
And he said Yahweh to me may not you fear him for in hand your I give him and all people his and land his and you will do to him just as you did to Sihon [the] king of the Amorite[s] who [was] dwelling in Heshbon.
3 Et Yahvé, notre Dieu, livra aussi entre nos mains Og, roi de Basan, et tout son peuple. Nous le frappâmes jusqu'à ce qu'il ne lui restât plus personne.
And he gave Yahweh God our in hand our also Og [the] king of Bashan and all people his and we struck down him until not he had left to him a survivor.
4 Nous avons pris toutes ses villes à cette époque. Il n'y eut pas une ville que nous n'ayons prise: soixante villes, toute la région d'Argob, le royaume d'Og en Basan.
And we captured all cities his at the time that not it was a town which not we took from with them sixty citi[es] all [the] region of Argob [the] kingdom of Og in Bashan.
5 Toutes ces villes étaient fortifiées par de hautes murailles, des portes et des barres, sans compter les nombreux villages sans murailles.
All these [were] cities fortified wall high gates and bar[s] apart from [the] cities of the hamlet-dweller[s] many very.
6 Nous les détruisîmes par interdit, comme nous l'avions fait à Sihon, roi de Heshbon, en dévastant par interdit toutes les villes habitées, avec les femmes et les petits enfants.
And we totally destroyed them just as we had done to Sihon [the] king of Heshbon we totally destroyed every city of men the women and the little one[s].
7 Mais nous prîmes pour nous tout le bétail et le butin des villes.
And all the livestock and [the] booty of the cities we plundered for ourselves.
8 En ce temps-là, nous prîmes le pays de la main des deux rois des Amoréens qui étaient au-delà du Jourdain, depuis le val de l'Arnon jusqu'au mont Hermon.
And we took at the time that the land from [the] hand of [the] two [the] kings of the Amorite[s] who [were] on [the] other side of the Jordan from [the] wadi of Arnon to [the] mountain of Hermon.
9 (Les Sidoniens appellent Hermon Sirion, et les Amoréens l'appellent Senir.)
[the] Sidonians They call Hermon Sirion and the Amorite[s] they call it Senir.
10 Nous prîmes toutes les villes de la plaine, tout Galaad et tout Basan, jusqu'à Salca et Édréi, villes du royaume d'Og en Basan.
All - [the] cities of the plain and all Gilead and all Bashan to Salecah and Edrei [the] cities of [the] kingdom of Og in Bashan.
11 (Car il ne restait qu'Og, roi de Basan, du reste des Rephaïm. Voici, son sommier était un sommier de fer. N'est-ce pas à Rabba, chez les enfants d'Ammon? Sa longueur était de neuf coudées, et sa largeur de quatre coudées, selon la coudée d'un homme).
For only Og [the] king of Bashan he survived from [the] remnant of the Rephaites there! sarcophagus his [was] a sarcophagus of iron ¿ not [is] it in Rabbah of [the] people of Ammon [was] nine cubits length its and [was] four cubits breadth its by a cubit of a human.
12 En ce temps-là, nous prîmes possession de ce pays: depuis Arœr, qui est près du torrent de l'Arnon, et la moitié de la montagne de Galaad, avec ses villes, je les donnai aux Rubénites et aux Gadites;
And the land this we took possession of at the time that from Aroer which [was] at [the] wadi of Arnon and [the] half of [the] hill country of Gilead and cities its I gave to the Reubenite[s] and to the Gadite[s].
13 et le reste de Galaad, et tout Basan, le royaume d'Og, je les donnai à la demi-tribu de Manassé, toute la région d'Argob, tout Basan. (On appelle ce territoire le pays des Rephaïm.
And [the] remainder of Gilead and all Bashan [the] kingdom of Og I gave to [the] half of [the] tribe of Manasseh all [the] region of Argob to all Bashan it it was called [the] land of [the] Rephaites.
14 Jaïr, fils de Manassé, prit toute la région d'Argob, jusqu'à la frontière des Gueschuriens et des Maacathiens, et il leur donna le nom de Basan, d'après son propre nom, Havvoth Jaïr, jusqu'à ce jour).
Jair [the] son of Manasseh he took all [the] region of Argob to [the] border of the Geshurite[s] and the Maacathite[s] and he called them on own name his Bashan [the] villages of Jair until the day this.
15 Je donnai Galaad à Makir.
And to Makir I gave Gilead.
16 Je donnai aux Rubénites et aux Gadites, depuis Galaad jusqu'au torrent de l'Arnon, le milieu du torrent, et sa limite, jusqu'au fleuve Jabbok, qui est la limite des fils d'Ammon.
And to the Reubenite[s] and to the Gadite[s] I gave from Gilead and to [the] wadi of Arnon [the] middle of the wadi and a border and to Jabbok the wadi [is] [the] border of [the] people of Ammon.
17 La plaine, le Jourdain et sa limite, depuis Kinnéreth jusqu'à la mer de la plaine, la mer Salée, sous les pentes du Pisga, à l'orient.
And the Arabah and the Jordan and a border from Kinnereth and to [the] sea of the Arabah [the] Sea of Salt under [the] slopes of Pisgah east-ward.
18 En ce temps-là, je vous ai donné cet ordre: « Yahvé ton Dieu t'a donné ce pays pour que tu en prennes possession. Vous tous, hommes de valeur, vous passerez armés devant vos frères, les enfants d'Israël.
And I commanded you at the time that saying Yahweh God your he has given to you the land this to take possession of it equipped you will pass over before countrymen your [the] people of Israel O all [the] sons of strength.
19 Mais vos femmes, vos petits enfants et vos troupeaux (je sais que vous avez beaucoup de bétail) habiteront dans les villes que je vous ai données,
Only wives your and little one[s] your and livestock your I know that livestock much [belongs] to you they will remain in cities your which I have given to you.
20 jusqu'à ce que l'Éternel donne du repos à vos frères, comme à vous, et qu'ils possèdent aussi le pays que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, leur donne au-delà du Jourdain. Alors vous retournerez chacun dans sa propriété, que je vous ai donnée. »
Until that he will give rest Yahweh - to countrymen your like you and they will take possession of also they the land which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to them on [the] other side of the Jordan and you will return everyone to possession his which I have given to you.
21 En ce temps-là, je donnai cet ordre à Josué: « Tes yeux ont vu tout ce que Yahvé ton Dieu a fait à ces deux rois. C'est ainsi que Yahvé fera à tous les royaumes où tu passeras.
And Joshua I commanded at the time that saying eyes your [are] the [ones which] have seen all that he did Yahweh God your to [the] two the kings these thus he will do Yahweh to all the kingdoms where you [are] about to pass over there.
22 Tu ne les craindras pas, car Yahvé ton Dieu combat lui-même pour toi. »
Not you must fear them for Yahweh God your he [is] the [one who] will fight for you.
23 En ce temps-là, je suppliai Yahvé, en disant:
And I sought favor to Yahweh at the time that saying.
24 « Seigneur Yahvé, tu as commencé à montrer à ton serviteur ta grandeur et ta main puissante. Car quel dieu y a-t-il dans les cieux et sur la terre qui puisse faire des œuvres comme les tiennes, et des actes de puissance comme les tiens?
O Lord Yahweh you you have begun to show servant your greatness your and hand your strong that who? [is] God in the heavens and on the earth who he will do like works your and like mighty deeds your.
25 Je t'en prie, laisse-moi aller voir le bon pays qui est au-delà du Jourdain, cette belle montagne et le Liban. »
Let me pass over please so I may see the land good which [is] on [the] other side of the Jordan the hill country good this and Lebanon.
26 Mais Yahvé s'est mis en colère contre moi à cause de vous, et il ne m'a pas écouté. L'Éternel m'a dit: « C'est assez! Ne me parle plus de cette affaire.
And he was furious Yahweh with me on account of you and not he listened to me and he said Yahweh to me enough for you may not you repeat to speak to me again in the matter this.
27 Monte au sommet du Pisga, et lève tes yeux vers l'ouest, le nord, le sud et l'est, et regarde de tes yeux, car tu ne passeras pas ce Jourdain.
Go up - [the] top of Pisgah and lift up eyes your west-ward and north-ward and south-ward and east-ward and see with own eyes your that not you will pass over the Jordan this.
28 Mais commandez à Josué, encouragez-le et fortifiez-le, car il passera devant ce peuple, et il lui fera hériter le pays que vous verrez. »
And commission Joshua and encourage him and strengthen him for he he will pass over before the people this and he he will give as an inheritance them the land which you will see.
29 Nous restâmes donc dans la vallée, près de Beth Peor.
And we remained in the valley opposite to Beth Peor.
