2 Rois 15

1 La vingt-septième année de Jéroboam, roi d'Israël, Azaria, fils d'Amatsia, roi de Juda, commença à régner.

In the seuen and twentieth yeere of Ieroboam King of Israel, began Azariah, sonne of Amaziah King of Iudah to reigne.

2 Il avait seize ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna cinquante-deux ans à Jérusalem. Le nom de sa mère était Jecolia, de Jérusalem.

Sixteene yeere olde was he, when he was made King, and he reigned two and fiftie yeere in Ierusalem: and his mothers name was Iecholiah of Ierusalem.

3 Il fit ce qui est droit aux yeux de l'Éternel, selon tout ce qu'avait fait son père Amatsia.

And he did vprightly in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah did.

4 Cependant, les hauts lieux ne furent pas supprimés. Le peuple continuait à offrir des sacrifices et à brûler des parfums sur les hauts lieux.

But the hie places were not put away: for the people yet offered, and burned incense in the hie places.

5 Yahvé frappa le roi, de sorte qu'il fut lépreux jusqu'au jour de sa mort et qu'il vécut dans une maison séparée. Jotham, fils du roi, était à la tête de la maison et jugeait le peuple du pays.

And the Lord smote the King: and he was a leper vnto the day of his death, and dwelt in an house apart, and Iotham the kings sonne gouerned the house, and iudged the people of the land.

6 Le reste des actes d'Azaria et tout ce qu'il a fait, n'est-ce pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois de Juda?

Concerning the rest of the actes of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?

7 Azaria se coucha avec ses pères, et on l'enterra avec ses pères dans la ville de David; et Jotham, son fils, régna à sa place.

So Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buryed him with his fathers in the citie of Dauid, and Iotham his sonne reigned in his stead.

8 La trente-huitième année d'Azaria, roi de Juda, Zacharie, fils de Jéroboam, régna sur Israël à Samarie pendant six mois.

In the eyght and thirtieth yeere of Azariah King of Iudah did Zachariah the sonne of Ieroboam reigne ouer Israel in Samaria sixe moneths,

9 Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de Yahvé, comme avaient fait ses pères. Il ne se détourna pas des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nebath, par lesquels il avait fait pécher Israël.

And did euill in the sight of the Lord, as did his fathers: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.

10 Shallum, fils de Jabesh, conspira contre lui, le frappa devant le peuple, le tua, et régna à sa place.

And Shallum the sonne of Iabesh cospired against him, and smote him in the sight of the people, and killed him, and reigned in his stead.

11 Le reste des actes de Zacharie, voici, ils sont écrits dans le livre des chroniques des rois d'Israël.

Concerning the rest of the actes of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

12 Telle fut la parole que Yahvé adressa à Jéhu, en disant: « Tes fils jusqu'à la quatrième génération s'assiéront sur le trône d'Israël. » Ainsi s'accomplit ce qui suit.

This was the word of the Lord, which he spake vnto Iehu, saying, Thy sonnes shall sit on the throne of Israel vnto the fourth generation after thee. And it came so to passe.

13 Schallum, fils de Jabesh, régna la trente-neuvième année d'Ozias, roi de Juda, et il régna un mois à Samarie.

Shallum the sonne of Iabesh began to reigne in the nine and thirtieth yeere of Vzziah King of Iudah: and he reigned the space of a moneth in Samaria.

14 Menahem, fils de Gadi, monta de Thirtsa, vint à Samarie, frappa Shallum, fils de Jabesh, à Samarie, le tua, et régna à sa place.

For Menahem the sonne of Gadi went vp from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the sonne of Iabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

15 Le reste des actes de Shallum, et la conspiration qu'il a formée, sont écrits dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d'Israël.

Cocerning the rest of the acts of Shallum, and the treason which he wrought, beholde, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

16 Alors Menahem attaqua Tiphsah et tous ceux qui s'y trouvaient, ainsi que les régions limitrophes, depuis Tirza. Il l'attaqua parce qu'ils ne lui avaient pas ouvert leurs portes, et il déchira toutes leurs femmes enceintes.

Then Menahem destroyed Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coastes thereof from Tirzah, because they opened not to him, and he smote it, and ript vp all their women with childe.

17 La trente-neuvième année d'Azaria, roi de Juda, Menahem, fils de Gadi, régna sur Israël pendant dix ans à Samarie.

The nine and thirtieth yeere of Azariah King of Iudah, beganne Menahem the sonne of Gadi to reigne ouer Israel, and reigned ten yeeres in Samaria.

18 Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Éternel. Il ne se détourna pas pendant toute sa vie des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nebat, par lesquels il avait fait pécher Israël.

And he did euill in the sight of the Lord, and departed not all his dayes from the sinne of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.

19 Pul, roi d'Assyrie, vint contre le pays, et Menahem donna à Pul mille talents d'argent, afin que sa main soit avec lui pour confirmer le royaume entre ses mains.

Then Pul the king of Asshur came against the land: and Menahem gaue Pul a thousand talents of siluer, that his hande might bee with him, and establish the kingdome in his hand.

20 Menahem exigea d'Israël, de tous les hommes riches et puissants, cinquante sicles d'argent chacun, pour les donner au roi d'Assyrie. Et le roi d'Assyrie s'en retourna, et ne resta pas dans le pays.

And Menahem exacted the money in Israel, that all men of substance shoulde giue the King of Asshur fiftie shekels of siluer a piece: so the king of Asshur returned and taried not there in the land.

22 Menahem se coucha avec ses pères, et Pekahiah, son fils, régna à sa place.

And Menahem slept with his fathers, and Pekahiah his sonne did reigne in his steade.

23 La cinquantième année d'Azaria, roi de Juda, Pekahia, fils de Menahem, régna sur Israël à Samarie pendant deux ans.

In ye fiftieth yere of Azariah king of Iudah, began Pekahiah the sonne of Menahem to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, and reigned two yere.

24 Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Éternel. Il ne se détourna pas des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nebat, par lesquels il avait fait pécher Israël.

And he did euill in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.

25 Pékah, fils de Remalia, son chef, conspira contre lui et l'attaqua à Samarie, dans la forteresse de la maison du roi, avec Argob et Arieh; il avait avec lui cinquante hommes des Galaadites. Il le tua, et régna à sa place.

And Pekah the sonne of Remaliah, his captaine conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria in the place of the Kings palace with Argob and Arieh, and with him fiftie men of the Gileadites: so he killed him, and reigned in his steade.

26 Le reste des actes de Pékahia, et tout ce qu'il a fait, voici, cela est écrit dans le livre des chroniques des rois d'Israël.

Concerning the rest of the actes of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

27 La cinquante-deuxième année d'Azaria, roi de Juda, Pékah, fils de Remalia, régna sur Israël à Samarie pendant vingt ans.

In the two and fiftieth yere of Azariah King of Iudah began Pekah the sonne of Remaliah to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, and reigned twentie yeere.

28 Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de Yahvé. Il ne se détourna pas des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nebat, par lesquels il avait fait pécher Israël.

And he did euil in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, that made Israel to sinne.

29 Du temps de Pékah, roi d'Israël, Tiglath Pileser, roi d'Assyrie, vint et prit Ijon, Abel Beth Maaca, Janoah, Kedesh, Hatsor, Galaad et Galilée, tout le pays de Nephtali, et il les emmena captifs en Assyrie.

In the dayes of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath Pileser king of Asshur, and tooke Iion, and Abel, Beth-maachah, and Ianoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilah, and all the land of Naphtali, and caryed them away to Asshur.

30 Hosée, fils d'Éla, forma une conspiration contre Pékah, fils de Remalia, l'attaqua, le tua et régna à sa place, la vingtième année de Jotham, fils d'Ozias.

And Hoshea the sonne of Elah wrought treason against Pekah the sonne of Remaliah, and smote him, and slewe him, and reigned in his stead in the twentieth yeere of Iotham the sonne of Vzziah.

31 Le reste des actes de Pékach, et tout ce qu'il a fait, est écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d'Israël.

Concerning the rest of the actes of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel.

32 La deuxième année de Pékah, fils de Remalia, roi d'Israël, Jotham, fils d'Ozias, roi de Juda, commença à régner.

In the second yere of Pekah the sonne of Remaliah King of Israel, began Iotham sonne of Vzziah King of Iudah to reigne.

33 Il avait vingt-cinq ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna seize ans à Jérusalem. Le nom de sa mère était Jérusha, fille de Tsadok.

Fiue and twentie yeere olde was he, when he began to reigne, and he reigned sixteene yeere in Ierusalem: and his mothers name was Ierusha the daughter of Zadok.

34 Il fit ce qui est droit aux yeux de l'Éternel. Il fit tout ce que son père Ozias avait fait.

And hee did vprightly in the sight of the Lord: he did according to all that his father Vzziah had done.

35 Cependant, les hauts lieux ne furent pas supprimés. Le peuple continuait à offrir des sacrifices et à brûler des parfums sur les hauts lieux. Il construisit la porte supérieure de la maison de Yahvé.

But the hie places were not put away: for the people yet offered and burnt incense in the hie places: he buylt the hyest gate of the house of the Lord.

36 Le reste des actes de Jotham, et tout ce qu'il a fait, n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des chroniques des rois de Juda?

Concerning the rest of the acts of Iotham, and all that hee did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the kings of Iudah?

37 En ces jours-là, Yahvé commença à envoyer contre Juda Rezin, roi de Syrie, et Pékah, fils de Remalia.

In those dayes the Lord began to send against Iudah Rezin the king of Aram, and Pekah the sonne of Remaliah.

38 Jotham se coucha avec ses pères et fut enterré avec ses pères dans la ville de David, son père, et Achaz, son fils, régna à sa place.

And Iotham slept with his fathers, and was buryed with his fathers in the citie of Dauid his father, and Ahaz his sonne reigned in his steade.
