1 Les fils de Lévi: Guershon, Kehath et Merari.

The sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

2 Fils de Kehath: Amram, Izhar, Hébron et Uzziel.

And the sons of Kohath; Amram, Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

3 Fils d'Amram: Aaron, Moïse et Miriam. Fils d'Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Éléazar et Ithamar.

And the children of Amram; Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam. The sons also of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

4 Éléazar engendra Phinhas, Phinhas engendra Abishua,

Eleazar brings forth Phinehas, Phinehas brings forth Abishua,

5 Abishua engendra Bukki. Bukki engendra Uzzi.

And Abishua brings forth Bukki, and Bukki brings forth Uzzi,

6 Uzzi engendra Zerahiah. Zérachia engendra Meraïoth.

And Uzzi brings forth Zerahiah, and Zerahiah brings forth Meraioth,

7 Meraïoth engendra Amaria. Amariah engendra Ahitub.

Meraioth brings forth Amariah, and Amariah brings forth Ahitub,

8 Achithub engendra Zadok. Zadok engendra Ahimaaz.

And Ahitub brings forth Zadok, and Zadok brings forth Ahimaaz,

9 Achimaats engendra Azaria. Azariah engendra Johanan.

And Ahimaaz brings forth Azariah, and Azariah brings forth Johanan,

10 Johanan engendra Azaria, qui exerça la fonction de prêtre dans la maison que Salomon construisit à Jérusalem.

And Johanan brings forth Azariah, (he it is that executed the priest's office in the temple that Solomon built in Jerusalem: )

11 Azaria engendra Amaria. Amaria engendra Ahitub.

And Azariah brings forth Amariah, and Amariah brings forth Ahitub,

12 Ahitub engendra Zadok. Zadok engendra Shallum, qui engendra Shallum.

And Ahitub brings forth Zadok, and Zadok brings forth Shallum,

13 Schallum engendra Hilkija. Hilkija engendra Azaria, qui engendra Azaria.

And Shallum brings forth Hilkiah, and Hilkiah brings forth Azariah,

14 Azaria engendra Seraja. Seraja engendra Jéhozadak.

And Azariah brings forth Seraiah, and Seraiah brings forth Jehozadak,

15 Jehozadak partit en captivité lorsque Yahvé emporta Juda et Jérusalem par la main de Nabuchodonosor.

And Jehozadak went into captivity, when the LORD carried away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

16 Fils de Lévi: Gershom, Kehath et Merari.

The sons of Levi; Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.

17 Voici les noms des fils de Guershom: Libni et Shimei.

And these be the names of the sons of Gershom; Libni, and Shimei.

18 Fils de Kehath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron et Uzziel.

And the sons of Kohath were, Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

19 Fils de Merari: Mahli et Mushi. Ce sont là les familles des Lévites, selon les maisons de leurs pères.

The sons of Merari; Mahli, and Mushi. And these are the families of the Levites according to their fathers.

20 De Gershom: Libni, son fils; Jahath, son fils; Zimma, son fils;

Of Gershom; Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,

21 Joach, son fils; Iddo, son fils; Zérah, son fils; et Jeatherai, son fils.

Joah his son, Iddo his son, Zerah his son, Jeaterai his son.

22 Fils de Kehath: Amminadab, son fils; Koré, son fils; Assir, son fils;

The sons of Kohath; Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son,

23 Elkana, son fils; Ebiasaph, son fils; Assir, son fils;

Elkanah his son, and Ebiasaph his son, and Assir his son,

24 Tahath, son fils; Uriel, son fils; Ozias, son fils; Saül, son fils.

Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Shaul his son.

25 Fils d'Elkana: Amasaï et Ahimoth.

And the sons of Elkanah; Amasai, and Ahimoth.

26 Fils d'Elkana: Zophaï, son fils; Nahath, son fils;

As for Elkanah: the sons of Elkanah; Zophai his son, and Nahath his son,

27 Éliab, son fils; Jerocham, son fils; et Elkana, son fils.

Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elkanah his son.

28 Fils de Samuel: le premier-né, Joël, et le second, Abija.

And the sons of Samuel; the firstborn Vashni, and Abiah.

29 Fils de Merari: Mahli, Libni son fils, Shimei son fils, Uzza son fils,

The sons of Merari; Mahli, Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzza his son,

30 Shimea son fils, Haggia son fils, Asaiah son fils.

Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, Asaiah his son.

31 Ce sont eux que David chargea du service des chants dans la maison de l'Éternel, après que l'arche s'y fut arrêtée.

And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the LORD, after that the ark had rest.

32 Ils assurèrent le service des chants devant le tabernacle de la tente d'assignation jusqu'à ce que Salomon ait construit la maison de Yahvé à Jérusalem. Ils accomplissaient les fonctions de leur charge selon leur ordre.

And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the LORD in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

33 Voici ceux qui firent le service, et leurs fils. Des fils des Kehathites: Héman, le chantre, fils de Joël, fils de Samuel,

And these are they that waited with their children. Of the sons of the Kohathites: Heman a singer, the son of Joel, the son of Shemuel,

34 fils d'Elkana, fils de Jerocham, fils d'Éliel, fils de Toah,

The son of Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Eliel, the son of Toah,

35 fils de Zuph, fils d'Elkana, fils de Mahath, fils d'Amasaï,

The son of Zuph, the son of Elkanah, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai,

36 fils d'Elkana, le fils de Joël, le fils d'Azaria, le fils de Sophonie,

The son of Elkanah, the son of Joel, the son of Azariah, the son of Zephaniah,

37 le fils de Tahath, le fils d'Assir, le fils d'Ebiasaph, le fils de Koré,

The son of Tahath, the son of Assir, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah,

38 le fils de Jitsehar, le fils de Kehath, le fils de Lévi, le fils d'Israël.

The son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.

39 Son frère Asaph, qui se tenait à sa droite, Asaph, fils de Bérékia, fils de Shiméa,

And his brother Asaph, who stood on his right hand, even Asaph the son of Berachiah, the son of Shimea,

40 fils de Micaël, fils de Baaséja, fils de Malkija,

The son of Michael, the son of Baaseiah, the son of Malchiah,

41 fils d'Ethni, fils de Zérach, fils d'Adaja,

The son of Ethni, the son of Zerah, the son of Adaiah,

42 fils d'Ethan, fils de Zimma, fils de Shiméi,

The son of Ethan, the son of Zimmah, the son of Shimei,

43 fils de Jahath, fils de Guershom, fils de Lévi.

The son of Jahath, the son of Gershom, the son of Levi.

44 A gauche, leurs frères, fils de Merari: Éthan, fils de Kishi, fils d'Abdi, fils de Malluch,

And their brethren the sons of Merari stood on the left hand: Ethan the son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch,

45 fils de Haschabia, fils d'Amatsia, fils de Hilkija,

The son of Hashabiah, the son of Amaziah, the son of Hilkiah,

46 fils d'Amzi, fils de Bani, fils de Shemer,

The son of Amzi, the son of Bani, the son of Shamer,

47 fils de Mahli, fils de Mushi, fils de Merari, fils de Lévi.

The son of Mahli, the son of Mushi, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.

48 Leurs frères les Lévites furent désignés pour tout le service du tabernacle de la maison de Dieu.

Their brethren also the Levites were appointed unto all manner of service of the tabernacle of the house of God.

49 Aaron et ses fils firent des offrandes sur l'autel des holocaustes et sur l'autel des parfums, pour tout le service du lieu très saint, et pour faire l'expiation pour Israël, selon tout ce qu'avait ordonné Moïse, serviteur de Dieu.

But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.

50 Voici les fils d'Aaron: Éléazar, son fils; Phinées, son fils; Abishua, son fils;

And these are the sons of Aaron; Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son,

51 Bukki, son fils; Uzzi, son fils; Zerahia, son fils;

Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son,

52 Meraioth, son fils; Amaria, son fils; Ahitub, son fils;

Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son,

53 Tsadok, son fils; Ahimaaz, son fils.

Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son.

54 Voici leurs lieux d'habitation, selon leurs campements dans leurs frontières. Aux fils d'Aaron, des familles des Kehathites, car c'était le premier lot,

Now these are their dwelling places throughout their castles in their coasts, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites: for theirs was the lot.

55 ils donnèrent Hébron, dans le pays de Juda, et les pâturages qui l'entourent;

And they gave them Hebron in the land of Judah, and the suburbs thereof round about it.

56 mais les champs de la ville et ses villages, ils les donnèrent à Caleb, fils de Jephunné.

But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

57 On donna aux fils d'Aaron les villes de refuge: Hébron, Libna et ses pâturages, Jattir, Eschthemoa et ses pâturages,

And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of Judah, namely, Hebron, the city of refuge, and Libnah with her suburbs, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa, with their suburbs,

58 Hilen et ses pâturages, Debir et ses pâturages,

And Hilen with her suburbs, Debir with her suburbs,

59 Ashan et ses pâturages, Beth Shemesh et ses pâturages,

And Ashan with her suburbs, and Bethshemesh with her suburbs:

60 et de la tribu de Benjamin: Guéba et ses pâturages, Allemeth et ses pâturages, Anathoth et ses pâturages. Toutes leurs villes, dans toutes leurs familles, étaient au nombre de treize.

And out of the tribe of Benjamin; Geba with her suburbs, and Alemeth with her suburbs, and Anathoth with her suburbs. All their cities throughout their families were thirteen cities.

61 Aux autres fils de Kehath, on donna par le sort, selon leurs familles, de la tribu, de la demi-tribu, de la moitié de Manassé, dix villes.

And unto the sons of Kohath, which were left of the family of that tribe, were cities given out of the half tribe, namely, out of the half tribe of Manasseh, by lot, ten cities.

62 Aux fils de Guershom, selon leurs familles, de la tribu d'Issacar, de la tribu d'Aser, de la tribu de Nephtali et de la tribu de Manassé, en Basan, treize villes.

And to the sons of Gershom throughout their families out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

63 Aux fils de Merari, on donna par le sort, selon leurs familles, de la tribu de Ruben, de la tribu de Gad et de la tribu de Zabulon, douze villes.

Unto the sons of Merari were given by lot, throughout their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

64 Les enfants d'Israël donnèrent aux Lévites les villes avec leurs pâturages.

And the children of Israel gave to the Levites these cities with their suburbs.

65 Ils donnèrent par tirage au sort, de la tribu des fils de Juda, de la tribu des fils de Siméon et de la tribu des fils de Benjamin, ces villes qui sont mentionnées par leur nom.

And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these cities, which are called by their names.

66 Quelques-unes des familles des fils de Kehath eurent des villes de leur ressort dans la tribu d'Ephraïm.

And the residue of the families of the sons of Kohath had cities of their coasts out of the tribe of Ephraim.

67 On leur donna les villes de refuge: Sichem, dans la montagne d'Éphraïm, et ses pâturages; Guézer et ses pâturages;

And they gave unto them, of the cities of refuge, Shechem in mount Ephraim with her suburbs; they gave also Gezer with her suburbs,

68 Jokmeam et ses pâturages; Beth Horon et ses pâturages;

And Jokmeam with her suburbs, and Bethhoron with her suburbs,

69 Ajalon et ses pâturages; Gath Rimmon et ses pâturages;

And Aijalon with her suburbs, and Gathrimmon with her suburbs:

70 et, de la demi-tribu de Manassé, Aner et ses pâturages, et Bilam et ses pâturages, pour le reste de la famille des fils de Kehath.

And out of the half tribe of Manasseh; Aner with her suburbs, and Bileam with her suburbs, for the family of the remnant of the sons of Kohath.

71 On donna aux fils de Guershom, de la famille de la demi-tribu de Manassé, Golan en Basan et ses pâturages, et Ashtaroth et ses pâturages;

Unto the sons of Gershom were given out of the family of the half tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with her suburbs, and Ashtaroth with her suburbs:

72 et de la tribu d'Issacar, Kedesh et ses pâturages, Daberath et ses pâturages,

And out of the tribe of Issachar; Kedesh with her suburbs, Daberath with her suburbs,

73 Ramoth et ses pâturages, et Anem et ses pâturages;

And Ramoth with her suburbs, and Anem with her suburbs:

74 et de la tribu d'Asher, Mashal et ses pâturages, Abdon et ses pâturages,

And out of the tribe of Asher; Mashal with her suburbs, and Abdon with her suburbs,

75 Hukok et ses pâturages, et Rehob et ses pâturages;

And Hukok with her suburbs, and Rehob with her suburbs:

76 et de la tribu de Nephtali, Kedesh en Galilée et ses pâturages, Hammon et ses pâturages, et Kiriathaim et ses pâturages.

And out of the tribe of Naphtali; Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, and Hammon with her suburbs, and Kirjathaim with her suburbs.

77 Aux autres Lévites, fils de Merari, on donna, de la tribu de Zabulon, Rimmono et ses pâturages, et Tabor et ses pâturages.

Unto the rest of the children of Merari were given out of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmon with her suburbs, Tabor with her suburbs:

78 Au-delà du Jourdain, à Jéricho, sur la rive orientale du Jourdain, on donna, de la tribu de Ruben Bezer dans le désert et ses pâturages, Jahtsa et ses pâturages,

And on the other side Jordan by Jericho, on the east side of Jordan, were given them out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness with her suburbs, and Jahzah with her suburbs,

79 Kedemoth et ses pâturages, et Mephaath et ses pâturages;

Kedemoth also with her suburbs, and Mephaath with her suburbs:

80 et de la tribu de Gad, Ramoth en Galaad et ses pâturages, Mahanaïm et ses pâturages,

And out of the tribe of Gad; Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, and Mahanaim with her suburbs,

81 Hesbon et ses pâturages, et Jazer et ses pâturages.

And Heshbon with her suburbs, and Jazer with her suburbs.
