1 Chroniques 24
1 Voici les divisions des fils d'Aaron. Fils d'Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Éléazar et Ithamar.
These were the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron: Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
2 Mais Nadab et Abihu moururent avant leur père et n'eurent pas d'enfants; c'est pourquoi Éléazar et Ithamar furent sacrificateurs.
But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.
3 David, avec Zadok des fils d'Éléazar et Achimélec des fils d'Ithamar, les répartit selon leur ordre dans leur service.
David with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to their ordering in their service.
4 Il se trouva plus de chefs parmi les fils d'Éléazar que parmi les fils d'Ithamar; et ils furent divisés ainsi: des fils d'Éléazar, il y en eut seize, chefs de maisons paternelles; et des fils d'Ithamar, selon leurs maisons paternelles, huit.
There were more chief men found among the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar; so they were divided like this: of the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen heads according to their ancestral houses, and eight according to their ancestral houses among the sons of Ithamar.
5 C'est ainsi qu'on les partagea impartialement par tirage au sort, car il y avait des chefs du sanctuaire et des chefs de Dieu, tant parmi les fils d'Éléazar que parmi les fils d'Ithamar.
And thus were they divided impartially by drawing lots; for there were officiers of the sanctuary, and officiers of God, both of the descendants of Eleazar, and of the descendants of Ithamar.
6 Schemaeja, fils de Nethaneel, le scribe, qui était d'entre les Lévites, les écrivit en présence du roi, des chefs, du sacrificateur Tsadok, d'Achimélec, fils d'Abiathar, et des chefs de famille des sacrificateurs et des Lévites; on prit une maison de famille pour Éléazar et une pour Ithamar.
And Shemaiah the son of Nethanel the scribe, who was of the Levites, wrote them in the presence of the king, and the officiers, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the ancestral houses of the priests and of the Levites; one fathers' house being taken for Eleazar and one being taken for Ithamar.
7 Le premier lot échut à Jehoïarib, le second à Jedaja,
Now the first lot came forth to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,
8 le troisième à Harim, le quatrième à Seorim,
the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,
9 le cinquième à Malkija, le sixième à Mijamin,
the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,
10 le septième à Hakkoz, le huitième à Abija,
the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,
11 le neuvième à Josué, le dixième à Shecania,
the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,
12 le onzième à Eliaschib, le douzième à Jakim,
the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,
13 le treizième à Huppa, le quatorzième, à Jeshebeab,
the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshbaal,
14 le quinzième, à Bilga, le seizième, à Immer,
the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,
15 le dix-septième, à Hezir, le dix-huitième, à Happizzez,
the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,
16 le dix-neuvième, à Pethahiah, le vingtième, à Jehezkel,
the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel,
17 le vingt et unième, à Jakin, le vingt-deuxième, à Gamul,
the twenty-first to Jakin, the twenty-second to Gamul,
18 le vingt-troisième, à Delaia, et le vingt-quatrième, à Maaziah.
the twenty-third to Delaiah, the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.
19 C'est ainsi qu'ils furent désignés pour leur service, afin d'entrer dans la maison de l'Éternel, selon l'ordonnance que leur avait donnée Aaron, leur père, comme l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, le lui avait ordonné.
This was their ordering in their service, to come into the house of the LORD according to the ordinance given to them by Aaron their father, as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded him.
20 Pour le reste des fils de Lévi: des fils d'Amram, Schubael; des fils de Schubael, Jehdija.
Of the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.
21 Pour Rehabia: des fils de Rehabia, Ischia, le chef.
Of Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, Isshiah the chief.
22 Des Jitseharites: Schelomoth; des fils de Schelomoth: Jahath.
Of the Izharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.
23 Fils d'Hébron: Jeria, Amaria, le second, Jahaziel, le troisième, et Jekameam, le quatrième.
The sons of Hebron: Jeriah, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.
24 Fils d'Uzziel: Michée; des fils de Michée, Shamir.
The sons of Uzziel, Micah; of the sons of Micah, Shamir.
25 Frère de Michée: Ischia; des fils de Ischia: Zacharie.
The brother of Micah, Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.
26 Fils de Merari: Mahli et Mushi. Fils de Jaazia: Beno.
The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi; of his sons: Jaaziah his son.
27 Fils de Merari, par Jaazia: Beno, Shoham, Zaccur et Ibri.
The sons of Merari by Jaaziah his son: Shoham, and Zakkur, and Ibri.
28 De Mahli: Éléazar, qui n'eut pas de fils.
Of Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.
29 De Kish, fils de Kish: Jerahmeel.
Of Kish; the sons of Kish: Jerahmeel.
30 Fils de Mushi: Mahli, Eder et Jerimoth. Ce sont là les fils des Lévites, selon les maisons de leurs pères.
The sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after their fathers' houses.
31 Ceux-ci tirèrent au sort, comme leurs frères les fils d'Aaron, devant le roi David, Tsadok, Achimélec, les chefs de famille des sacrificateurs et des Lévites, les chefs de famille du chef comme ceux de son jeune frère.
These likewise cast lots even as their kinsmen the descendants of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the heads of the ancestral houses of the priests and of the Levites; the ancestral houses of the chief even as those of his younger brother.
