1 Chroniques 12
1 Et voici ceux qui vinrent auprès de David à Tsiklag, pendant qu'il fuyait Saül, fils de Kish. Ils étaient parmi les hommes forts, ses aides dans la guerre.
These also are they that came to Dauid to Ziklag, while he was yet kept close, because of Saul the sonne of Kish: and they were among the valiant and helpers of the battel.
2 Ils étaient armés d'arcs et pouvaient se servir de la main droite et de la main gauche pour lancer des pierres et tirer des flèches de l'arc. Ils étaient de la famille de Saül, de la tribu de Benjamin.
They were weaponed with bowes, and could vse the right and the left hand with stones and with arrowes and with bowes, and were of Sauls brethren, euen of Beniamin.
3 Le chef était Ahiézer, puis Joas, fils de Shemaa, le Gibéen; Jeziel et Pelet, fils d'Azmaveth; Beraca; Jéhu, l'Anathothite;
The chiefe were Ahiezer, and Ioash the sonnes of Shemaah a Gibeathite, and Ieziel, and Pelet the sonnes of Asinaueth, Berachah and Iehu the Antothite,
4 Ismaeja, le Gibéonite, homme puissant parmi les trente et chef des trente; Jérémie; Jahaziel, Jochanan, Jozabad, de Guéderath,
And Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a valiant man among thirtie, and aboue the thirtie, and Ieremiah, and Iehaziel, and Iohanan, and Ioshabad the Gederathite,
5 Eluzaï, Jerimoth, Bealia, Shemaria, Shephathia, d'Haruph,
Eluzai, and Ierimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,
6 Elkana, Ischia, Azarel, Jœzer et Jashobeam, de Koré,
Elkanah, and Ishiah, and Azariel, and Ioezer, Iashobeam of Hakorehim,
7 Joéla et Zebadia, fils de Jerocham, de Guedor.
And Ioelah, and Zebadiah, the sonnes of Ieroham of Gedor,
8 Des Gadites se joignirent à David dans la forteresse du désert, hommes vaillants, entraînés à la guerre, sachant manier le bouclier et la lance; leur visage était semblable à celui des lions, et ils étaient aussi rapides que les gazelles sur les montagnes:
And of the Gadites there separated them selues some vnto Dauid into the holde of the wildernesse, valiant men of warre, and men of armes, and apt for battel, which coulde handle speare and shielde, and their faces were like the faces of lyons, and were like the roes in the mountaines in swiftnesse,
9 Ezer, le chef, Abdias, le second, Éliab, le troisième,
Ezer the chiefe, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
10 Mischmanna, le quatrième, Jérémie, le cinquième,
Mishmanah the fourth, Ieremiah the fift,
11 Attaï, le sixième, Éliel, le septième,
Attai the sixt, Eliel the seuenth,
12 Jochanan, le huitième, Elzabad, le neuvième,
Iohanan the eight, Elzabad the ninth,
13 Jérémie, le dixième, et Machbannaï, le onzième.
Ieremiah the tenth, Macbannai the eleuenth.
14 Ceux-ci, parmi les fils de Gad, étaient chefs de l'armée. Le plus petit était égal à cent, et le plus grand à mille.
These were the sonnes of Gad, captaines of the hoste: one of the least could resist an hundreth, and the greatest a thousand.
15 Ce sont ceux qui passèrent le Jourdain au premier mois, quand il avait débordé sur toutes ses rives, et qui mirent en fuite tous les habitants des vallées, à l'est et à l'ouest.
These are they that went ouer Iorden in the first moneth when he had filled ouer all his bankes, and put to flight all them of the valley, toward the East and the West.
16 Quelques-uns des enfants de Benjamin et de Juda vinrent à la forteresse auprès de David.
And there came of the children of Beniamin, and Iudah to the hold vnto Dauid,
17 David alla au-devant d'eux et leur répondit: « Si vous êtes venus pacifiquement à moi pour m'aider, mon cœur s'unira à vous; mais si vous êtes venus pour me livrer à mes adversaires, puisqu'il n'y a pas de mal dans mes mains, que le Dieu de nos pères voie cela et le réprouve. »
And Dauid went out to meete them, and answered and sayde vnto them, If yee be come peaceably vnto me to helpe me, mine heart shall be knit vnto you, but if you come to betray me to mine aduersaries, seeing there is no wickednes in mine handes, the God of our fathers beholde it, and rebuke it.
18 Alors l'Esprit vint sur Amasaï, qui était le chef des trente, et il dit: « Nous sommes à toi, David, et de ton côté, toi, fils de Jessé. Que la paix, la paix soit avec toi, et que la paix soit avec ceux qui te soutiennent, car ton Dieu te soutient. » Alors David les reçut et les nomma chefs de la troupe.
And the spirit came vpon Amasai, which was the chiefe of thirtie, and he said, Thine are we, Dauid, and with thee, O sonne of Ishai. Peace, peace be vnto thee, and peace be vnto thine helpers: for thy God helpeth thee. Then Dauid receiued them, and made them captaines of the garison.
19 Quelques-uns de Manassé se joignirent aussi à David lorsqu'il vint combattre avec les Philistins contre Saül, mais ils ne les aidèrent pas, car les chefs des Philistins le renvoyèrent après l'avoir consulté, en disant: « Il va déserter vers son maître Saül au péril de nos têtes. »
And of Manasseh some fell to Dauid, when he came with the Philistims against Saul to battell, but they helped them not: for the Princes of the Philistims by aduisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul for our heads.
20 Comme il allait à Ziklag, des gens de Manassé se joignirent à lui: Adna, Jozabad, Jediaël, Michel, Jozabad, Elihu et Zillethaï, chefs de milliers qui étaient de Manassé.
As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Iozabad, and Iediael, and Michael, and Iozabad, and Elihu, and Ziltai, heads of the thousands that were of Manasseh.
21 Ils aidèrent David à combattre la bande de pillards, car ils étaient tous des hommes vaillants et des chefs de l'armée.
And they helped Dauid against that bad: for they were all valiant men and were captaines in the hoste.
22 Car de jour en jour, des hommes venaient à David pour l'aider, jusqu'à ce qu'il y ait une grande armée, comme l'armée de Dieu.
For at that time day by day there came to Dauid to helpe him, vntill it was a great hoste, like the hoste of God.
23 Voici le nombre des têtes de ceux qui étaient armés pour la guerre et qui vinrent auprès de David à Hébron pour lui remettre le royaume de Saül, selon la parole de l'Éternel.
And these are the nombers of the captaines that were armed to battell, and came to Dauid to Hebron to turne the kingdome of Saul to him, according to the worde of the Lord.
24 Les fils de Juda qui portaient le bouclier et la lance étaient six mille huit cents, armés pour la guerre.
The children of Iudah that bare shield and speare, were sixe thousand and eight hundreth armed to the warre.
25 Des fils de Siméon, hommes vaillants pour la guerre: sept mille cent.
Of the children of Simeon valiant men of warre, seuen thousand and an hundreth.
26 des fils de Lévi: quatre mille six cents.
Of the children of Leui foure thousande and sixe hundreth.
27 Jehojada était le chef de la maison d'Aaron; il avait avec lui trois mille sept cents hommes,
And Iehoiada was the chiefe of them of Aaron: and with him three thousande and seuen hundreth.
28 Zadok, jeune homme vaillant, et vingt-deux chefs de la maison de son père.
And Zadok a yong man very valiant, and of his fathers housholde came two and twentie captaines.
29 Des fils de Benjamin, parents de Saül: trois mille, car jusqu'alors, la plus grande partie d'entre eux avaient gardé leur allégeance à la maison de Saül.
And of the children of Beniamin the brethren of Saul three thousande: for a great part of them vnto that time kept the warde of the house of Saul.
30 des fils d'Éphraïm: vingt mille huit cents, vaillants hommes, célèbres dans la maison de leurs pères.
And of the children of Ephraim twentie thousande, and eight hundreth valiant men and famous men in the housholde of their fathers.
31 de la demi-tribu de Manassé: dix-huit mille, qui furent nommément désignés pour venir faire roi David.
And of the halfe tribe of Manasseh eighteene thousand, which were appointed by name to come and make Dauid King.
32 Des fils d'Issacar, hommes qui avaient l'intelligence des temps, pour savoir ce qu'Israël devait faire: leurs têtes étaient deux cents, et tous leurs frères étaient à leurs ordres.
And of the children of Issachar which were men that had vnderstanding of the times, to knowe what Israel ought to doe: the heades of them were two hundreth, and all their brethren were at their commandement.
33 De Zabulon, ceux qui étaient capables d'aller à l'armée, qui pouvaient se mettre en ordre de bataille avec toutes sortes d'instruments de guerre: cinquante mille qui pouvaient commander et qui n'avaient pas le cœur double.
Of Zebulun that went out to battel, expert in warre, and in all instruments of warre, fiftie thousande which could set the battell in aray: they were not of a double heart.
34 De Nephtali: mille chefs, et avec eux, avec le bouclier et la lance, trente-sept mille.
And of Naphtali a thousand captaines, and with them with shielde and speare seuen and thirtie thousande.
35 des Danites qui savaient se mettre en ordre de bataille: vingt-huit mille six cents.
And of Dan expert in battell, eyght and twentie thousande, and sixe hundreth.
36 d'Aser, ceux qui étaient capables d'aller à l'armée et de se ranger en bataille: quarante mille.
And of Asher that went out to the battell and were trained in the warres, fourtie thousand.
37 De l'autre côté du Jourdain, des Rubénites, des Gadites et de la demi-tribu de Manassé, avec toutes sortes d'instruments de guerre pour le combat: cent vingt mille.
And of the other side of Iorden of the Reubenites, and of the Gadites, and of the halfe tribe of Manasseh with all instruments of warre to fight with, an hundreth and twentie thousand.
38 Tous ceux-là étaient des hommes de guerre capables d'ordonner le dispositif de combat, et ils vinrent à Hébron avec un cœur parfait pour faire de David le roi de tout Israël; et tout le reste d'Israël était aussi d'un même cœur pour faire de David le roi.
All these men of warre that coulde leade an armie, came with vpright heart to Hebron to make Dauid King ouer all Israel: and all the rest of Israel was of one accorde to make Dauid King:
39 Ils restèrent là trois jours avec David, mangeant et buvant, car leurs frères leur avaient fourni des provisions.
And there they were with Dauid three dayes, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.
40 Ceux qui étaient près d'eux, jusqu'à Issacar, Zabulon et Nephtali, apportèrent du pain sur des ânes, des chameaux, des mulets et des bœufs, des provisions de farine, des gâteaux de figues, des grappes de raisins secs, du vin, de l'huile, du bétail et des moutons en abondance, car il y avait de la joie en Israël.
Moreouer they that were neere them vntill Issachar, and Zebulun, and Naphtali brought bread vpon asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, euen meate, floure, figges, and reisins, and wine and oyle, and beeues and sheepe abundantly: for there was ioy in Israel.
