5 Les fils de Japhet: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech et Tiras.
The sonnes of Iapheth were Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Iauan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
6 Fils de Gomer: Ashkenaz, Diphath et Togarmah.
And the sonnes of Gomer, Ashchenaz, and Iphath and Togarmah.
7 Fils de Javan: Élisée, Tarsis, Kittim et Rodanim.
Also the sonnes of Iauan, Elishah and Tarshishah, Kittim, and Dodanim.
8 Les fils de Cham: Cush, Mizraïm, Put et Canaan.
The sonnes of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, Put and Canaan.
9 Fils de Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raama, Sabteca. Les fils de Raama: Saba et Dedan.
And the sonnes of Cush, Siba and Hauilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. Also the sonnes of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
10 Cush devint le père de Nimrod. Il commença à être puissant sur la terre.
And Cush begate Nimrod, who began to be mightie in the earth.
11 Mizraïm engendra Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim,
And Mizraim begate Ludim and Anamim, Lehabim, and Naphtuhim:
12 Pathrusim, Casluhim (d'où sont venus les Philistins), et Caphtorim.
Pathrusim also, and Casluhim, of whome came the Philistims, and Caphtorim.
13 Canaan engendra Sidon, son premier-né, Heth,
Also Canaan begate Zidon his first borne, and Heth,
14 le Jébusien, l'Amorite, le Girgashite,
And the Iebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
15 le Hivite, l'Arkite, le Sinite,
And the Hiuuite, and the Arkite, and the Simite,
16 l'Arvadite, le Zemarite et le Hamathite.
And the Aruadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.
17 Fils de Sem: Élam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether et Meshech.
The sonnes of Shem were Elam and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and Vz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.
18 Arpachshad engendra Shéla, et Shéla engendra Eber.
Also Arpachshad begate Shelah, and Shelah begate Eber.
19 A Eber naquirent deux fils: le nom de l'un était Péleg, car de son temps la terre fut divisée; et le nom de son frère était Joktan.
Vnto Eber also were borne two sonnes: the name of the one was Peleg: for in his dayes was ye earth deuided: and his brothers name was Ioktan.
20 Joktan engendra Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
Then Ioktan begate Almodad and Sheleph, and Hazermaueth and Ierah,
21 Hadoram, Uzal, Dikla,
And Hadoram and Vzal and Diklah,
22 Ebal, Abimael, Sheba,
And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
23 Ophir, Havilah et Jobab. Tous ceux-là étaient fils de Joktan.
And Ophir, and Hauilah and Iobab: all these were the sonnes of Ioktan.
24 Sem, Arpachshad, Shelah,

25 Eber, Peleg, Reu,
Eber, Peleg, Rehu,
26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,

27 Abram (appelé aussi Abraham).
Abram, which is Abraham.
28 Fils d'Abraham: Isaac et Ismaël.
The sonnes of Abraham were Izhak, and Ishmael.
29 Voici leurs générations: le premier-né d'Ismaël, Nebaioth; puis Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,
These are their generations. The eldest sonne of Ishmael was Nebaioth, and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
30 Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema,

31 Jetur, Naphish et Kedemah. Ce sont les fils d'Ismaël.
Ietur, Naphish and Kedemah: these are the sonnes of Ishmael.
32 Fils de Ketura, concubine d'Abraham: elle enfanta Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak et Shuah. Fils de Jokshan: Saba et Dedan.
And Keturah Abrahams concubine bare sonnes, Zimran, and Iokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah: and the sonnes of Iokshan, Sheba, and Dedan.
33 Fils de Madian: Epha, Epher, Hanoch, Abida et Eldaah. Tous ceux-là étaient les fils de Ketura.
And the sonnes of Midian were Ephah, and Ephar, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah: All these are the sonnes of Keturah.
34 Abraham devient le père d'Isaac. Les fils d'Isaac: Ésaü et Israël.
And Abraham begate Izhak: the sonnes of Izhak, Esau, and Israel.
35 Fils d'Ésaü: Éliphaz, Réuel, Jeush, Jalam et Koré.
The sonnes of Esau were Eliphaz, Reuel, and Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah.
36 Fils d'Éliphaz: Théman, Omar, Zephi, Gatam, Kenaz, Timna et Amalek.
The sonnes of Eliphaz, Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
37 Fils de Réuel: Nahath, Zérah, Shamma et Mizzah.
The sonnes of Reuel, Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah.
38 Fils de Séir: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer et Dishan.
And the sonnes of Seir, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
39 Fils de Lotan: Hori et Homam; et Timna était la sœur de Lotan.
And the sonnes of Lotan, Hori, and Homam, and Timna Lotans sister.
40 Fils de Shobal: Alian, Manahath, Ebal, Shephi et Onam. Les fils de Zibeon: Aiah et Anah.
The sonnes of Shobal were Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sonnes of Zibeon, Aiah and Anah.
41 Fils d'Ana: Dishon. Fils de Dishon: Hamran, Eshban, Ithran et Cheran.
The sonne of Anah was Dishon. And the sonnes of Dishon, Amran, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
42 Fils d'Ézer: Bilhan, Zaavan et Jaakan. Fils de Dishan: Uz et Aran.
The sonnes of Ezer were Bilhan, and Zaauan, and Iaakan. The sonnes of Dishon were Vz, and Aran.
43 Voici les rois qui régnèrent dans le pays d'Édom, avant qu'aucun roi ne régnât sur les enfants d'Israël: Béla, fils de Béor; le nom de sa ville était Dinhaba.
And these were the Kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before a King reigned ouer the children of Israel, to wit, Bela the sonne of Beor, and the name of his citie was Dinhabah.
44 Béla mourut; et Jobab, fils de Zérach, de Botsra, régna à sa place.
Then Bela died, and Iobab the sonne of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
45 Jobab mourut. Husham, du pays des Thémanites, régna à sa place.
And whe Iobab was dead, Hussham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
46 Husham mourut; et Hadad, fils de Bedad, qui avait battu Madian dans le champ de Moab, régna à sa place; et le nom de sa ville était Avith.
And when Hussham was dead, Hadad the sonne of Bedad which smote Midian in the fielde of Moab, reigned in his steade, and the name of his citie was Auith.
47 Hadad mourut. Samla, de Masréka, régna à sa place.
So Hadad dyed, and Samlah of Mashrecah reigned in his stead.
48 Samla mourut; et Shaoul, de Rehoboth, près du fleuve, régna à sa place.
And Samlah dyed, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the riuer reigned in his stead.
49 Shaoul mourut. Baal Hanan, fils d'Acbor, régna à sa place.
And when Shaul was dead, Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor reigned in his stead.
50 Baal Hanan mourut et Hadad régna à sa place; le nom de sa ville était Pai. Sa femme s'appelait Mehetabel, fille de Matred, fille de Mezahab.
And Baal-hanan dyed, and Hadad reigned in his stead, and the name of his citie was Pai, and his wiues name Mehetabel the daughter of Matred the daughter of Mezahab.
51 Et Hadad mourut. Les chefs d'Édom étaient: le chef Timna, le chef Aliah, le chef Jetheth,
Hadad dyed also, and there were dukes in Edom, duke Timna, duke Aliah, duke Ietheth,
52 le chef Oholibamah, le chef Éla, le chef Pinon,
Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
53 le chef Kenaz, le chef Teman, le chef Mibzar,
Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,
54 le chef Magdiel et le chef Iram. Ce sont les chefs d'Édom.
Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these were the dukes of Edom.
