Sakarjan 6
1 Minä nostin jälleen silmäni ja näin, katso, neljät vaunut, jotka lähtivät liikkeelle kahden vuoren välistä; ja ne vuoret olivat vaskivuoria.
And again I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between the two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.
2 Ensimmäisten vaunujen edessä oli punaisenruskeat hevoset, toisten vaunujen edessä oli mustat hevoset,
In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses;
3 kolmansien vaunujen edessä oli valkeat hevoset, ja neljänsien vaunujen edessä oli täplikkäät, väkevät hevoset.
and in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grizzled bay horses.
4 Minä lausuin ja sanoin enkelille, joka puhutteli minua: "Mitä nämä ovat, Herra?"
Then I answered and said unto the angel that spoke with me: 'What are these, my lord?'
5 Enkeli vastasi ja sanoi minulle: "Ne ovat neljä taivaan tuulta, jotka lähtevät liikkeelle seisottuansa kaiken maan Herran edessä.
And the angel answered and said unto me: 'These chariots go forth to the four winds of heaven, after presenting themselves before the Lord of all the earth.
6 Ne, joitten edessä on mustat hevoset, lähtevät pohjoiseen maahan, ja valkeat lähtevät niiden jäljessä. Täplikkäät lähtevät eteläiseen maahan.
That wherein are the black horses goeth forth toward the north country; and the white went forth after them; and the grizzled went forth toward the south country;
7 Ne väkevät lähtevät, ja menevät halusta, kuljeksimaan maata." Ja hän sanoi: "Menkää, kuljeksikaa maata". Ja ne kuljeksivat maata.
and the bay went forth'. And they sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth; and he said: 'Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth.' So they walked to and fro through the earth.
8 Sitten hän huusi minut ja sanoi minulle näin: "Katso, ne, jotka lähtivät pohjoiseen maahan, saattavat minun Henkeni lepäämään pohjoisessa maassa".
Then cried he upon me, and spoke unto me, saying: 'Behold, they that go toward the north country have eased My spirit in the north country.'
9 Minulle tuli tämä Herran sana:
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
10 "Ota vastaan siirtolaisuudessa eläviltä Heldailta, Tobialta ja Jedajalta-mene tänä päivänä, mene Joosian, Sefanjan pojan, taloon, johon he ovat tulleet Baabelista, -
'Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, that are come from Babylon; and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;
11 ja ota vastaan hopea ja kulta, tee kruunu ja pane se ylimmäisen papin Joosuan, Joosadakin pojan, päähän
yea, take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set the one upon the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest;
12 ja sano hänelle näin: "Näin sanoo Herra Sebaot: Katso, mies nimeltä Vesa! Omalta pohjaltansa hän on kasvava, ja hän on rakentava Herran temppelin.
and speak unto him, saying: Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying: Behold, a man whose name is the Shoot, and who shall shoot up out of his place, and build the temple of the LORD;
13 Herran temppelin hän on rakentava, ja valtasuuruutta hän on kantava, ja hän on istuva ja hallitseva valtaistuimellansa; hän on oleva pappi valtaistuimellansa, ja rauhan neuvo on vallitseva niitten molempien välillä.
even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and there shall be a priest before his throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
14 Ja kruunu on oleva muistona Herran temppelissä Helemistä ja Tobiasta ja Jedajasta ja Sefanjan pojan suosiollisuudesta.
And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, as a memorial in the temple of the LORD.
15 Ja kaukana asuvaiset tulevat ja rakentavat Herran temppeliä. Ja te tulette tietämään, että Herra Sebaot on lähettänyt minut teidän tykönne. Näin on tapahtuva, jos te hartaasti kuulette Herran, teidän Jumalanne, ääntä."
And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And it shall come to pass, if ye will diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD your God —.'
