Psalmien 75

1 Veisuunjohtajalle; veisataan kuin: "Älä turmele"; virsi; Aasafin laulu. Me kiitämme sinua, Jumala, me kiitämme sinua; lähellä on sinun nimesi, sinun ihmeitäsi kerrotaan.

`To the ouercomere; leese thou not the salm of the song of Asaph. God, we schulen knouleche to thee, `we schulen knouleche; and we schulen inwardli clepe thi name.

2 "Vaikka minä valitsenkin ajan, minä tuomitsen oikein.

We schulen telle thi merueilis; whanne Y schal take tyme, Y schal deme riytfulnesses.

3 Vaikka maa kaikkine asukkaineen menehtyy pelkoon, pidän minä pystyssä sen patsaat." (Sela)

The erthe is meltid, and alle that duellen ther ynne; Y confermede the pileris therof.

4 "Ylvästelijöille minä sanon: älkää ylvästelkö, ja jumalattomille: älkää sarvea nostako.

I seide to wickid men, Nyle ye do wickidli; and to trespassouris, Nyle ye enhaunce the horn.

5 Älkää nostako sarveanne korkealle, älkää puhuko niskoitellen, julkeasti."

Nyle ye reise an hiy youre horn; nyle ye speke wickidnesse ayens God.

6 Ei tule apua idästä, ei lännestä, ei vuorisesta erämaasta,

For nether fro the eest, nethir fro the west, nethir fro desert hillis; for God is the iuge.

7 vaan Jumala on se, joka tuomitsee: yhden hän alentaa, toisen ylentää.

He mekith this man, and enhaunsith hym; for a cuppe of cleene wyn ful of meddling is in the hoond of the Lord.

8 Sillä Herran kädessä on malja, joka vaahtoaa täynnänsä höystettyä viiniä, ja siitä hän kaataa; kaikkien maan jumalattomien täytyy se juoda, särpiä pohjasakkaa myöten.

And he bowide of this in to that; netheles the drast therof is not anyntischid; alle synneris of erthe schulen drinke therof.

9 Mutta minä julistan iäti, veisaan kiitosta Jaakobin Jumalalle.

Forsothe Y schal telle in to the world; Y schal synge to God of Jacob.

10 Ja kaikki jumalattomien sarvet minä katkaisen; korkealle kohoavat vanhurskaan sarvet.

And Y schal breke alle the hornes of synneris; and the hornes of the iust man schulen be enhaunsid.
