Psalmien 119
1 Autuaat ne, joiden tie on nuhteeton, jotka Herran laissa vaeltavat!
Alleluia. Blessed are the blameless in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.
2 Autuaat ne, jotka ottavat vaarin hänen todistuksistaan, jotka etsivät häntä kaikesta sydämestänsä,
Blessed are they that search out his testimonies: they will diligently seek him with the whole heart.
3 jotka eivät vääryyttä tee, vaan vaeltavat hänen teillään!
For they that work iniquity have not walked in his ways.
4 Sinä olet asetuksesi säätänyt, että niitä tarkasti noudatettaisiin.
Thou hast commanded [us] diligently to keep thy precepts.
5 Oi, jospa minun vaellukseni olisi vakaa, niin että noudattaisin sinun käskyjäsi!
O that my ways were directed to keep thine ordinances.
6 Silloin minä en joudu häpeään, kun katselen kaikkia sinun käskyjäsi.
Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect to all thy commandments.
7 Minä kiitän sinua vilpittömällä sydämellä, kun opin sinun vanhurskautesi oikeudet.
I will give thee thanks with uprightness of heart, when I have learnt the judgments of thy righteousness.
8 Minä noudatan sinun käskyjäsi, älä minua peräti hylkää.
I will keep thine ordinances: O forsake me not greatly.
9 Kuinka voi nuorukainen pitää tiensä puhtaana? Siten, että hän noudattaa sinun sanaasi.
Wherewith shall a young man direct his way? by keeping thy words.
10 Minä etsin sinua kaikesta sydämestäni, älä salli minun eksyä pois sinun käskyistäsi.
With my whole heart have I diligently sought thee: cast me not away from thy commandments.
11 Minä kätken sinun sanasi sydämeeni, etten tekisi syntiä sinua vastaan.
I have hidden thine oracles in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Kiitetty ole sinä, Herra, opeta minulle käskysi.
Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thine ordinances.
13 Huulillani minä julistan kaikki sinun suusi oikeudet.
With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
14 Minä iloitsen sinun todistustesi tiestä, niinkuin kaikkinaisesta rikkaudesta.
I have delighted in the way of thy testimonies, [as much] as in all riches.
15 Minä tutkistelen sinun asetuksiasi ja katselen sinun polkujasi.
I will meditate on thy commandments, and consider thy ways.
16 Minä iloitsen sinun käskyistäsi enkä sinun sanaasi unhota.
I will meditate on thine ordinances: I will not forget thy words.
17 Tee palvelijallesi hyvin, että minä eläisin ja noudattaisin sinun sanaasi.
Render a recompense to thy servant: [so] shall I live, and keep thy words.
18 Avaa minun silmäni näkemään sinun lakisi ihmeitä.
Unveil thou mine eyes, and I shall perceive wondrous things of thy law.
19 Minä olen muukalainen maan päällä; älä salaa minulta käskyjäsi.
I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.
20 Minun sieluni hiukeaa ikävöidessäni alati sinun oikeuksiasi.
My soul has longed exceedingly for thy judgments at all times.
21 Sinä nuhtelet julkeita, kirotuita, jotka poikkeavat pois sinun käskyistäsi.
Thou has rebuked the proud: cursed are they that turn aside from thy commandments.
22 Poista minun päältäni häväistys ja ylenkatse, sillä minä otan sinun todistuksistasi vaarin.
Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have sought out thy testimonies.
23 Ruhtinaatkin istuvat ja pitävät neuvoa minua vastaan, mutta palvelijasi tutkistelee sinun käskyjäsi.
For princes sat and spoke against me: but thy servant was meditating on thine ordinances.
24 Sinun todistuksesi ovat minun iloni, ne ovat minun neuvonantajani.
For thy testimonies are my (meditation) and thine ordinances are my counsellors.
25 Minun sieluni on vaipunut tomuun; virvoita minua sanasi jälkeen.
My soul has cleaved to the ground; quicken thou me according to thy word.
26 Minä kerron vaellukseni, ja sinä vastaat minulle; opeta minulle käskysi.
I declared my ways, and thou didst hear me: teach me thine ordinances.
27 Saata minut ymmärtämään asetustesi tie, niin minä tutkistelen sinun ihmeitäsi.
Instruct me in the way of thine ordinances; and I will meditate on thy wondrous works.
28 Minun sieluni itkee murheesta; vahvista minua sanasi jälkeen.
My soul has slumbered for sorrow; strengthen thou me with thy words.
29 Käännä minusta pois valheen tie, ja anna armostasi minulle lakisi.
Remove from me the way of iniquity; and be merciful to me by thy law.
30 Minä olen valinnut totuuden tien, olen asettanut eteeni sinun oikeutesi.
I have chosen the way of truth; and have not forgotten thy judgments.
31 Minä riipun kiinni sinun todistuksissasi, Herra, älä anna minun joutua häpeään.
I have cleaved to thy testimonies, O Lord; put me not to shame.
32 Minä juoksen sinun käskyjesi tietä, sillä sinä avarrat minun sydämeni.
I ran the way of thy commandments, when thou didst enlarge my heart.
33 Opeta minulle, Herra, käskyjesi tie, niin minä seuraan sitä loppuun asti.
Teach me, O Lord, the way of thine ordinances, and I will seek it out continually.
34 Anna minulle ymmärrys ottaakseni sinun laistasi vaarin ja noudattaakseni sitä kaikesta sydämestäni.
Instruct me, and I will search out thy law, and will keep it with my whole heart.
35 Anna minun vaeltaa sinun käskyjesi polkua, sillä sitä minä halajan.
Guide me in the path of thy commandments; for I have delighted in it.
36 Anna minun sydämeni taipua sinun todistuksiisi, ei väärän voiton puoleen.
Incline mine heart to thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
37 Käännä silmäni pois turhuutta katselemasta, anna minun saada virvoitus sinun teilläsi.
Turn away mine eyes that I may not behold vanity: quicken thou me in thy way.
38 Anna palvelijallesi toteutua lupauksesi, joka on annettu sinua pelkääville.
Confirm thine oracle to thy servant, that he may fear thee.
39 Poista minusta häväistys, jota pelkään, sillä sinun oikeutesi ovat hyvät.
Take away my reproach which I have feared: for thy judgments are good.
40 Katso, minä ikävöitsen sinun asetuksiasi; virvoita minua vanhurskaudellasi.
Behold, I have desired thy commandments: quicken me in thy righteousness.
41 Tulkoon minulle sinun armosi, Herra, sinun apusi, sinun lupauksesi jälkeen,
And let thy mercy come upon me, O Lord; [even] thy salvation, according to thy word.
42 että minä voisin vastata herjaajalleni; sillä sinun sanaasi minä turvaan.
And [so] I shall render an answer to them that reproach me: for I have trusted in thy words.
43 Älä ota peräti pois minun suustani totuuden sanaa, sillä sinun oikeuteesi minä panen toivoni.
And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments. So shall I keep thy law continually, for ever and ever.
44 Minä tahdon alati noudattaa sinun lakiasi, aina ja iankaikkisesti.
45 Silloin minä vaellan avaralla paikalla; sillä sinun asetuksiasi minä kysyn.
I walked also at large: for I sought out thy commandments.
46 Minä puhun sinun todistuksistasi kuningasten edessä, enkä häpeään joudu.
And I spoke of thy testimonies before kings, and was not ashamed.
47 Minä iloitsen sinun käskyistäsi, jotka ovat minulle rakkaat.
And I meditated on thy commandments, which I loved exceedingly.
48 Minä kohotan käteni sinun käskyjesi puoleen, jotka ovat minulle rakkaat, ja tutkistelen sinun säädöksiäsi.
And I lifted up my hands to thy commandments which I loved; and I meditated in thine ordinances.
49 Muista sana, jonka olet palvelijallesi puhunut, sillä sinä olet antanut minulle toivon.
Remember thy words to thy servant, wherein thou hast made me hope.
50 Se on minun lohdutukseni kurjuudessani, että sinun lupauksesi minua virvoittaa.
This has comforted me in mine affliction: for thine oracle has quickened me.
51 Julkeat pilkkaavat minua kovin, mutta sinun laistasi minä en poikkea.
The proud have transgressed exceedingly; but I swerved not from thy law.
52 Herra, minä ajattelen sinun tuomioitasi, tuomioitasi hamasta ikiajoista asti, ja minä saan lohdutuksen.
I remembered thy judgments of old, O Lord; and was comforted.
53 Minut valtaa palava vihastus jumalattomien tähden, jotka hylkäävät sinun lakisi.
Despair took hold upon me, because of the sinners who forsake thy law.
54 Sinun käskysi ovat minun ylistysvirteni minun muukalaisuuteni majassa.
Thine ordinances were my songs in the place of my sojourning.
55 Yöllä minä ajattelen sinun nimeäsi, Herra, ja minä noudatan sinun lakiasi.
I remembered thy name, O Lord, in the night, and kept thy law.
56 Tämä on minun osakseni suotu: että otan vaarin sinun asetuksistasi.
This I had, because I diligently sought thine ordinances.
57 Herra on minun osani; minä olen päättänyt noudattaa sinun sanojasi.
Thou art my portion, O Lord: I said that I would keep thy law.
58 Minä etsin sinun mielisuosiotasi kaikesta sydämestäni; ole minulle armollinen lupauksesi mukaan.
I besought thy favour with my whole heart: have mercy upon me according to thy word.
59 Minä tutkin teitäni, ja käännän askeleeni sinun todistustesi puoleen.
I thought on thy ways, and turned my feet to thy testimonies.
60 Minä riennän viivyttelemättä noudattamaan sinun käskyjäsi.
I prepared myself, (and was not terrified, ) to keep thy commandments.
61 Jumalattomain paulat piirittävät minua, mutta minä en unhota sinun lakiasi.
The snares of sinners entangled me: but I forgot not thy law.
62 Puoliyöstä minä nousen kiittämään sinua sinun vanhurskautesi oikeuksista.
At midnight I arose, to give thanks to thee for the judgments of thy righteousness.
63 Minä olen kaikkien niiden ystävä, jotka sinua pelkäävät ja noudattavat sinun asetuksiasi.
I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy commandments.
64 Maa on täynnä sinun laupeuttasi, Herra; opeta minulle käskysi.
O Lord, the earth is full of thy mercy: teach me thine ordinances.
65 Sinä osoitat palvelijallesi hyvyyttä sanasi jälkeen, Herra.
Thou hast wrought kindly with thy servant, o Lord, according to thy word.
66 Opeta minulle hyvä ymmärrys ja tieto, sillä sinun käskyihisi minä panen uskallukseni.
Teach me kindness, and instruction, and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
67 Ennenkuin minut nöyryytettiin, minä eksyin, mutta nyt minä noudatan sinun sanaasi.
Before I was afflicted, I transgressed; therefore have I kept thy word.
68 Sinä olet hyvä, ja hyvin sinä teet; opeta minulle käskysi.
Good art thou, O Lord; therefore in thy goodness teach me thine ordinances.
69 Julkeat tahraavat minua valheillansa, mutta minä otan sinun asetuksistasi vaarin kaikesta sydämestäni.
The injustice of the proud has been multiplied against me: but I will search out thy commandments with all my heart.
70 Heidän sydämensä on turta kuin ihra, mutta minä iloitsen sinun laistasi.
Their heart has been curdled like milk; but I have meditated on thy law.
71 Hyvä oli minulle, että minut nöyryytettiin: niin minä opin sinun käskysi.
[It is] good for me that thou hast afflicted me; that I might learn thine ordinances.
72 Sinun suusi laki on minulle kalliimpi kuin tuhannet kappaleet kultaa ja hopeata.
The law of thy mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.
73 Sinun kätesi ovat minut tehneet ja valmistaneet; anna minulle ymmärrys oppiakseni sinun käskysi.
Thy hands have made me, and fashioned me: instruct me, that I may learn thy commandments.
74 Sinua pelkääväiset näkevät minut ja iloitsevat, sillä minä panen toivoni sinun sanaasi.
They that fear thee will see me and rejoice: for I have hoped in thy words.
75 Herra, minä tiedän, että sinun tuomiosi ovat vanhurskaat, ja uskollisuudessasi sinä olet minut nöyryyttänyt.
I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are righteousness, and [that] thou in truthfulness hast afflicted me.
76 Sinun armosi olkoon minun lohdutukseni, niinkuin sinä olet palvelijallesi luvannut.
Let, I pray thee, thy mercy be to comfort me, according to thy word to thy servant.
77 Tulkoon minulle sinun laupeutesi, että minä eläisin; sillä sinun lakisi on minun iloni.
Let thy compassions come to me, that I may live: for thy law is my (meditation)
78 Joutukoot julkeat häpeään, sillä he sortavat minua syyttä; minä tutkistelen sinun asetuksiasi.
Let the proud be ashamed; for they transgressed against me unjustly: but I will meditate in thy commandments.
79 Kääntykööt minun puolelleni ne, jotka sinua pelkäävät ja jotka sinun todistuksesi tuntevat.
Let those that fear thee, and those that know thy testimonies, turn to me.
80 Pysyköön sydämeni vakaana sinun käskyissäsi, etten minä häpeään joutuisi.
Let mine heart be blameless in thine ordinances, that I may not be ashamed.
81 Sinun apuasi minun sieluni ikävöitsee, sinun sanaasi minä panen toivoni.
My soul faints for thy salvation: I have hoped in thy words.
82 Minun silmäni ikävöitsevät sinun sanaasi; minä kysyn: "Milloin lohdutat minua?"
Mine eyes failed [in waiting] for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
83 Sillä minä olen kuin nahkaleili savussa, mutta sinun käskyjäsi minä en unhota.
For I am become as a bottle in the frost: [yet] I have not forgotten thine ordinances.
84 Kuinka harvat ovat palvelijasi päivät! Milloin sinä tuomitset minun vainoojani?
How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment for me on them that persecute me?
85 Julkeat kaivavat minulle kuoppia, ne, jotka eivät elä sinun lakisi mukaan.
Transgressors told me [idle tales]; but not according to thy law, O Lord.
86 Kaikki sinun käskysi ovat todet; syyttä he minua vainoavat; auta minua.
All thy commandments are truth; they persecuted me unjustly; help thou me.
87 He ovat minut miltei tuhonneet tässä maassa, mutta minä en ole hyljännyt sinun asetuksiasi.
They nearly made an end of me in the earth; but I forsook not thy commandments.
88 Virvoita minua armosi jälkeen, niin minä noudatan sinun suusi todistuksia.
Quicken me according to thy mercy; so shall I keep the testimonies of thy mouth.
89 Iankaikkisesti pysyy sinun sanasi, Herra, vahvana taivaissa.
Thy word, O Lord, abides in heaven for ever.
90 Sinun uskollisuutesi kestää polvesta polveen, sinä perustit maan, ja se pysyy.
Thy truth [endures] to all generations; thou hast founded the earth, and it abides.
91 Sinun järjestyksesi mukaan ne pysyvät vielä tänä päivänä, sillä ne kaikki ovat sinun palvelijoitasi.
The day continues by thy arrangement; for all things are thy servants.
92 Ellei sinun lakisi olisi ollut minun iloni, olisin menehtynyt kurjuuteeni.
Were it not that thy law is my (meditation) then I should have perished in mine affliction.
93 En minä ikinä unhota sinun asetuksiasi, sillä niillä sinä minua virvoitat.
I will never forget thine ordinances; for with them thou hast quickened me.
94 Sinun omasi minä olen, pelasta minut, sillä sinun asetuksiasi minä kysyn.
I am thine, save me; for I have sought out thine ordinances.
95 Jumalattomat väijyvät minua, tuhotakseen minut, mutta minä tarkkaan sinun todistuksiasi.
Sinners laid wait for me to destroy me; [but] I understood thy testimonies.
96 Kaikella täydellisellä on rajansa-sen olen nähnyt-mutta sinun käskysi ovat ylen avarat.
have seen an end of all perfection; [but] thy commandment is very broad.
97 Kuinka sinun lakisi onkaan minulle rakas! Kaiken päivää minä sitä tutkistelen.
How I have loved thy law, O Lord! it is my meditation all the day.
98 Sinun käskysi tekevät minut vihollisiani viisaammaksi, sillä ne ovat minun omani iankaikkisesti.
Thou hast made me wiser than mine enemies [in] thy commandment; for it is mine for ever.
99 Minä olen kaikkia opettajiani taitavampi, sillä minä tutkistelen sinun todistuksiasi.
I have more understanding than all my teachers; for thy testimonies are my medication.
100 Minä olen ymmärtäväisempi kuin vanhat, sillä minä otan vaarin sinun asetuksistasi.
I understand more that the aged; because I have sought out thy commandments.
101 Minä pidätän jalkani kaikilta pahoilta teiltä, noudattaakseni sinun sanaasi.
I have kept back my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy words.
102 Minä en poikkea sinun oikeuksistasi, sillä sinä neuvot minua.
I have not declined from thy judgments; for thou hast instructed me.
103 Kuinka makeat ovat minulle sinun lupauksesi! Ne ovat hunajaa makeammat minun suussani.
How sweet are thine oracles to my throat! more so than honey to my mouth!
104 Sinun asetuksistasi minä saan ymmärrystä; sentähden minä vihaan kaikkia valheen teitä.
I gain understanding by thy commandments: therefore I have hated every way of unrighteousness.
105 Sinun sanasi on minun jalkaini lamppu ja valkeus minun tielläni.
Thy law is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my paths.
106 Minä olen vannonut ja tahdon sen täyttää: noudattaa sinun vanhurskautesi oikeuksia.
I have sworn and determined to keep the judgments of thy righteousness.
107 Minä olen kovin vaivattu; Herra, virvoita minua sanasi jälkeen.
I have been very greatly afflicted, O Lord: quicken me, according to thy word.
108 Kelvatkoot sinulle, Herra, minun suuni vapaaehtoiset uhrit, ja opeta minulle oikeutesi.
Accept, I pray thee, O Lord, the freewill-offerings of my mouth, and teach me thy judgments.
109 Minun henkeni häälyy alati kämmenelläni, mutta sinun lakiasi minä en unhota.
My soul is continually in thine hands; and I have not forgotten thy law.
110 Jumalattomat virittävät pauloja minun eteeni, mutta sinun asetuksistasi minä en eksy.
Sinners spread a snare for me; but I erred not from thy commandments.
111 Sinun todistuksesi ovat minun ikuinen perintöosani, sillä ne ovat minun sydämeni ilo.
I have inherited thy testimonies for ever; for they are the joy of my heart.
112 Minä olen taivuttanut sydämeni pitämään sinun käskysi, aina ja loppuun asti.
I have inclined my heart to perform thine ordinances for ever, in return [for thy mercies].
113 Kaksimielisiä minä vihaan, mutta sinun lakiasi minä rakastan.
I have hated transgressors; but I have loved thy law.
114 Sinä olet minun suojani ja kilpeni, sinun sanaasi minä panen toivoni.
Thou art my helper and my supporter; I have hoped in thy words.
115 Luopukaa minusta, te pahantekijät, minä tahdon ottaa Jumalani käskyistä vaarin.
Depart from me, ye evil-doers; for I will search out the commandments of my God.
116 Tue minua lupauksesi jälkeen, että minä eläisin, äläkä anna minun joutua toivossani häpeään.
Uphold me according to thy word, and quicken me; and make me not ashamed of my expectation.
117 Vahvista minua, että minä pelastuisin, niin minä katselen alati sinun käskyjäsi.
Help me, and I shall be saved; and I will meditate in thine ordinances continually.
118 Sinä hylkäät kaikki, jotka sinun käskyistäsi eksyvät, sillä heidän kavaluutensa on turha.
Thou hast brought to nought all that depart from thine ordinances; for their inward thought is unrighteous.
119 Kaikki maan jumalattomat sinä heität pois niinkuin kuonan; sentähden minä rakastan sinun todistuksiasi.
I have reckoned all the sinners of the earth as transgressors; therefore have I loved thy testimonies.
120 Sinun peljättävyytesi edessä minun ruumiini vapisee, ja minä pelkään sinun tuomioitasi.
Penetrate my flesh with thy fear; for I am afraid of thy judgments.
121 Minä teen oikeuden ja vanhurskauden, älä jätä minua sortajaini käsiin.
I have done judgment and justice; deliver me not up to them that injure me.
122 Ole palvelijasi puolusmies hänen parhaaksensa, älä salli julkeain minua sortaa.
Receive thy servant for good: let not the proud accuse me falsely.
123 Minun silmäni hiueten halajavat sinun apuasi ja sinun vanhurskaita lupauksiasi.
Mine eyes have failed for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.
124 Tee palvelijallesi armosi jälkeen ja opeta minulle käskysi.
Deal with thy servant according to thy mercy, and teach me thine ordinances.
125 Minä olen sinun palvelijasi, anna minulle ymmärrys, että minä sinun todistuksesi tuntisin.
I am thy servant; instruct me, and I shall know thy testimonies.
126 On aika Herran tehdä tekonsa: he ovat rikkoneet sinun lakisi.
[It is] time for the Lord to work: they have utterly broken thy law.
127 Sentähden minä rakastan sinun käskyjäsi enemmän kuin kultaa, enemmän kuin puhtainta kultaa.
Therefore have I loved thy commandments more than gold, or the topaz.
128 Sentähden minä vaellan kaikessa suoraan, kaikkien sinun asetuksiesi mukaan; kaikkia valheen teitä minä vihaan.
Therefore I directed myself [according] to all thy commandments: I have hated every unjust way.
129 Ihmeelliset ovat sinun todistuksesi, sentähden minun sieluni ottaa niistä vaarin.
Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore my soul has sought them out.
130 Kun sinun sanasi avautuvat, niin ne valaisevat ja antavat yksinkertaiselle ymmärrystä.
The manifestation of thy words will enlighten, and instruct the simple.
131 Minä avaan suuni ja huohotan, sillä minä halajan sinun käskyjäsi.
I opened my mouth, and drew breath: for I earnestly longed after thy commandments.
132 Käänny minun puoleeni, ole minulle armollinen, niinkuin on oikein niitä kohtaan, jotka sinun nimeäsi rakastavat.
Look upon me and have mercy upon me, after the manner of them that love thy name.
133 Tee minun askeleeni vakaviksi sanallasi äläkä salli minkään vääryyden minua hallita.
Order my steps according to thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
134 Päästä minut ihmisten sorrosta, niin minä noudatan sinun asetuksiasi.
Deliver me from the false accusation of men: so will I keep thy commandments.
135 Kirkasta kasvosi palvelijallesi ja opeta minulle käskysi.
Cause thy face to shine upon thy servant: and teach me thine ordinances.
136 Minun silmistäni vuotavat kyynelvirrat, kun sinun lakiasi ei noudateta.
Mine eyes have been bathed in streams of water, because I kept not thy law.
137 Sinä olet vanhurskas, Herra, ja sinun tuomiosi ovat oikeat.
Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy judgments.
138 Sinä olet säätänyt todistuksesi vanhurskaudessa ja suuressa uskollisuudessa.
Thou has commanded righteousness and perfect truth, [as] thy testimonies.
139 Minun kiivauteni kuluttaa minut, sillä minun vihamieheni unhottavat sinun sanasi.
Thy zeal has quite wasted me: because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.
140 Sinun sanasi on hyvin koeteltu, ja sinun palvelijasi rakastaa sitä.
Thy word [has been] very fully tried; and thy servant loves it.
141 Minä olen vähäinen ja halveksittu, mutta minä en unhota sinun asetuksiasi.
I am young and despised: [yet] I have not forgotten thine ordinances.
142 Sinun vanhurskautesi on iankaikkinen vanhurskaus, ja sinun lakisi on totuus.
Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is truth.
143 Hätä ja ahdistus ovat minut saavuttaneet, mutta sinun käskysi ovat minun iloni.
Afflictions and distresses found me: [but] thy commandments [were] my (meditation)
144 Sinun todistuksesi ovat iankaikkisesti vanhurskaat; anna minulle ymmärrys, että minä eläisin.
Thy testimonies [are] an everlasting righteousness: instruct me, and I shall live.

I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord: I will search out thine ordinances.
146 Minä huudan sinua, pelasta minut, niin minä noudatan sinun todistuksiasi.
I cried to thee; save me, and I will keep thy testimonies.
147 Jo ennen aamun valkenemista minä huudan, sinun sanoihisi minä panen toivoni.
I arose before the dawn, and cried: I hoped in thy words.
148 Jo ennen yön vartiohetkiä minun silmäni tutkistelevat sinun puhettasi.
Mine eyes prevented the dawn, that I might meditate on thine oracles.
149 Kuule minun ääneni armosi jälkeen; Herra, virvoita minua oikeutesi mukaan.
Hear my voice, O Lord, according to thy mercy; quicken me according to thy judgment.
150 Lähellä ovat ilkeät vainoojat, jotka ovat kaukana sinun laistasi.
They have drawn nigh who persecuted me unlawfully; and they are far removed from thy law.
151 Lähellä olet sinä, Herra, ja kaikki sinun käskysi ovat todet.
Thou art near, O Lord; and all thy ways are truth.
152 Jo aikoja minä olen tiennyt sinun todistuksistasi, että sinä olet ne perustanut iäti pysyviksi.
I have known of old concerning thy testimonies, that thou hast founded them for ever.
153 Katso minun kurjuuttani ja pelasta minut, sillä minä en unhota sinun lakiasi.
Look upon mine affliction, and rescue me; for I have not forgotten thy law.
154 Aja minun asiani ja lunasta minut, virvoita minua lupauksesi jälkeen.
Plead my cause, and ransom me: quicken me because of thy word.
155 Kaukana on pelastus jumalattomista, sillä he eivät kysy sinun käskyjäsi.
Salvation is far from sinners: for they have not searched out thine ordinances.
156 Herra, sinun armahtavaisuutesi on suuri, virvoita minua oikeutesi mukaan.
Thy mercies, O Lord, are many: quicken me according to thy judgment.
157 Monta on minulla vainoojaa ja vihamiestä, mutta sinun todistuksistasi minä en poikkea.
Many are they that persecute me and oppress me: [but] I have not declined from thy testimonies.
158 Minä näen uskottomat, ja minua iljettää, sillä he eivät noudata sinun sanaasi.
I beheld men acting foolishly, and I pined away; for they kept not thine oracles.

Behold, I have loved thy commandments, O Lord: quicken me in thy mercy.
160 Sinun sanasi on kokonansa totuus, ja kaikki sinun vanhurskautesi oikeudet pysyvät iankaikkisesti.
The beginning of thy words is truth; and all the judgments of thy righteousness [endure] for ever.
161 Ruhtinaat vainoavat minua syyttä, mutta minun sydämeni pelkää sinun sanojasi.
Princes persecuted me without a cause, but my heart feared because of thy words.
162 Minä riemuitsen sinun puheestasi, niinkuin suuren saaliin saanut.
I will exult because of thine oracles, as one that finds much spoil.
163 Valhetta minä vihaan ja inhoan, mutta sinun lakiasi minä rakastan.
I hate and abhor unrighteousness; but I love thy law.
164 Seitsemästi päivässä minä ylistän sinua sinun vanhurskautesi oikeuksien tähden.
Seven times in a day have I praised thee because of the judgments of thy righteousness.
165 Suuri rauha on niillä, jotka rakastavat sinun lakiasi, eikä heille kompastusta tule.
Great peace have they that love thy law: and there is no stumbling-block to them.
166 Minä odotan sinulta pelastusta, Herra, ja täytän sinun käskysi.
I waited for thy salvation, O Lord, and have loved thy commandments.
167 Minun sieluni noudattaa sinun todistuksiasi, ja suuresti minä niitä rakastan.
My soul has kept thy testimonies, and loved them exceedingly.
168 Minä noudatan sinun asetuksiasi ja sinun todistuksiasi, sillä kaikki minun tieni ovat sinun edessäsi.
I have kept thy commandments and thy testimonies; for all my ways are before thee, O Lord.
169 Herra, suo minun valitukseni tulla sinun kasvojesi eteen, anna minulle ymmärrys sanasi jälkeen.
Let my supplication come near before thee, o Lord; instruct me according to thine oracle.
170 Tulkoon minun anomiseni sinun kasvojesi eteen, pelasta minut lupauksesi mukaan.
Let my petition come in before thee, O Lord; deliver me according to thine oracle.
171 Vuodattakoot minun huuleni ylistystä, sillä sinä opetat minulle käskysi.
Let my lips utter a hymn, when thou shalt have taught me thine ordinances.
172 Minun kieleni veisatkoon sinun lupauksistasi, sillä kaikki sinun käskysi ovat vanhurskaat.
Let my tongue utter thine oracles; for all thy commandments are righteous.
173 Sinun kätesi olkoon minun apuni, sillä minä olen valinnut sinun asetuksesi.
Let thine hand be [prompt] to save me; for I have chosen thy commandments.
174 Minä ikävöitsen pelastusta sinulta, Herra, ja sinun lakisi on minun iloni.
I have longed after thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my (meditation)
175 Saakoon minun sieluni elää ja ylistää sinua, ja sinun oikeutesi minua auttakoot.
My soul shall live, and shall praise thee; and thy judgments shall help me.
176 Minä olen eksyksissä kuin kadonnut lammas; etsi palvelijaasi, sillä minä en unhota sinun käskyjäsi.
I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I have not forgotten thy commandments.
