Psalmien 113

1 Halleluja! Ylistäkää, te Herran palvelijat, ylistäkää Herran nimeä.

Praise all of you the LORD. Praise, O all of you servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.

2 Siunattu olkoon Herran nimi nyt ja iankaikkisesti.

Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.

3 Auringon noususta sen laskuun saakka olkoon Herran nimi ylistetty.

From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD's name is to be praised.

4 Herra on korkea yli kaikkien pakanakansain, yli taivasten kohoaa hänen kunniansa.

The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

5 Kuka on niinkuin Herra, meidän Jumalamme, joka korkealla asuu

Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwells on high,

6 ja katsoo syvälle-taivaassa ja maassa?

Who humbles himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

7 Hän, joka tomusta nostaa alhaisen, korottaa loasta köyhän

He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the dunghill;

8 asettaaksensa hänet ruhtinasten rinnalle, hänen kansansa ruhtinasten rinnalle,

That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

9 joka antaa hedelmättömän asua kodissa, iloisena lasten äitinä! Halleluja!

He makes the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise all of you the LORD.
