Nehemian 7
1 Kun muuri oli rakennettu, asetin minä ovet paikoillensa; ja niiden vartioimisen saivat ovenvartijat, veisaajat ja leeviläiset tehtäväkseen.
And it came to pass, when the wall was built, that I set up the doors; and then were appointed the gatekeepers and the singers and the [other] Levites [to their office].
2 Ja Jerusalemin päämiehiksi minä asetin veljeni Hananin ja linnanpäällikön Hananjan, sillä hän oli luotettava mies ja pelkäsi Jumalaa enemmän kuin moni muu.
And I gave my brother Chanani, and Chananyah the commander of the fortress, charge over Jerusalem; for he was esteemed a faithful man, and one that feared God these many days.
3 Ja minä sanoin heille: "Jerusalemin portteja älköön avattako, ennenkuin aurinko on polttavimmillaan; ja vartijain vielä seisoessa paikoillaan on ovet suljettava ja salvoilla teljettävä. Ja Jerusalemin asukkaita pantakoon vartioimaan, kukin vartiopaikallensa, kukin oman talonsa kohdalle.
And I said unto them, The gates of Jerusalem must not be opened until the sun be hot; and while ye stand by, let them shut the doors, and do ye bar them; and station watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one opposite to his house.
4 Kaupunki oli joka suuntaan tilava ja suuri, mutta väkeä siinä oli vähän, ja taloja oli vielä rakentamatta.
But the city was roomy in space and large: while the people therein were few, and the houses were not yet built.
5 Niin Jumala antoi minun sydämeeni, että minun oli koottava ylimykset, esimiehet ja kansa sukuluetteloon merkittäviksi. Silloin minä löysin niiden sukuluettelon, jotka ensin olivat tulleet sinne, ja huomasin siihen kirjoitetun:
Then did my God put it into my heart, and I assembled together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might give in their genealogy; and I found a register of the genealogy of those who were come up at the first, and I found written therein:
6 "Nämä ovat tämän maakunnan asukkaat, jotka lähtivät pakkosiirtolaisten vankeudesta, johon Nebukadnessar, Baabelin kuningas, oli heidät vienyt, ja palasivat Jerusalemiin ja Juudaan, kukin kaupunkiinsa,
These arc the children of the province, that came up out of the captivity of the exiles, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried into exile, and who returned to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his own city;

Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua', Nehemiah, 'Azaryah, Ra'amyah, Nachamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Misspereth, Bigvai, Nechum, Ba'anah. The number of the men of the people of Israel was:
8 Paroksen jälkeläisiä kaksituhatta sata seitsemänkymmentä kaksi;
The children of Par'osh, two thousand one hundred and seventy and two.
9 Sefatjan jälkeläisiä kolmesataa seitsemänkymmentä kaksi;
The children of Shephatyah, three hundred seventy and two.
10 Aarahin jälkeläisiä kuusisataa viisikymmentä kaksi;
The children of Arach, six hundred fifty and two.
11 Pahat-Mooabin jälkeläisiä, nimittäin Jeesuan ja Jooabin jälkeläisiä, kaksituhatta kahdeksansataa kahdeksantoista;
The children of Pachath-moab, of the children of Jeshua' and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen.
12 Eelamin jälkeläisiä tuhat kaksisataa viisikymmentä neljä;
The children of 'Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty and four.
13 Sattun jälkeläisiä kahdeksansataa neljäkymmentä viisi;
The children of Zatthu, eight hundred forty and five.
14 Sakkain jälkeläisiä seitsemänsataa kuusikymmentä;
The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty.
15 Binnuin jälkeläisiä kuusisataa neljäkymmentä kahdeksan;
The children of Binnui, six hundred forty and eight.
16 Beebain jälkeläisiä kuusisataa kaksikymmentä kahdeksan;
The children of Bebai, six hundred twenty and eight.
17 Asgadin jälkeläisiä kaksituhatta kolmesataa kaksikymmentä kaksi;
The children of 'Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty and two.
18 Adonikamin jälkeläisiä kuusisataa kuusikymmentä seitsemän;
The children of Adonikam, six hundred sixty and seven.
19 Bigvain jälkeläisiä kaksituhatta kuusikymmentä seitsemän;
The children of Bigvai, two thousand sixty and seven.
20 Aadinin jälkeläisiä kuusisataa viisikymmentä viisi;
The children of 'Adin, six hundred fifty and five.
21 Aaterin, nimittäin Hiskian, jälkeläisiä yhdeksänkymmentä kahdeksan;
The children of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety and eight.
22 Haasumin jälkeläisiä kolmesataa kaksikymmentä kahdeksan;
The children of Chashum, three hundred twenty and eight.

The children of Chariph, one hundred and twelve.
25 gibeonilaisia yhdeksänkymmentä viisi;
The children of Gib'on, ninety and five.
26 Beetlehemin ja Netofan miehiä sata kahdeksankymmentä kahdeksan;
The men of Beth-lechem and Netophah, one hundred eighty and eight.
27 Anatotin miehiä sata kaksikymmentä kahdeksan;
The men of 'Anathoth, one hundred twenty and eight.
28 Beet-Asmavetin miehiä neljäkymmentä kaksi;
The men of Beth-'azmaveth, forty and two.
29 Kirjat-Jearimin, Kefiran ja Beerotin miehiä seitsemänsataa neljäkymmentä kolme;
The men of Kiryath-ye'arim, Kephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty and three.
30 Raaman ja Geban miehiä kuusisataa kaksikymmentä yksi;
The men of Ramah and Gaba', six hundred twenty and one,
31 Mikmaan miehiä sata kaksikymmentä kaksi;
The men of Michmass, one hundred twenty and two.
32 Beetelin ja Ain miehiä sata kaksikymmentä kolme;
The men of Beth-el and 'Ai, one hundred twenty and three.
33 toisen Nebon miehiä viisikymmentä kaksi;
The men of the other Nebo, fifty and two.
34 toisen Eelamin jälkeläisiä tuhat kaksisataa viisikymmentä neljä;
The children of the other 'Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty and four.
35 Haarimin jälkeläisiä kolmesataa kaksikymmentä;
The children of Charim, three hundred and twenty.
36 jerikolaisia kolmesataa neljäkymmentä viisi;
The people of Jericho, three hundred forty and five.
37 loodilaisia, haadidilaisia ja oonolaisia seitsemänsataa kaksikymmentä yksi;
The people of Lod, Chadid, and Ono, seven hundred and twenty and one.
38 senaalaisia kolmetuhatta yhdeksänsataa kolmekymmentä.
The people of Senaah, three thousand nine hundred and thirty.
39 Pappeja oli: Jedajan jälkeläisiä, nimittäin Jesuan sukua, yhdeksänsataa seitsemänkymmentä kolme;
The priests: the children of Jeda'yah, of the house of Jeshua', nine hundred seventy and three.
40 Immerin jälkeläisiä tuhat viisikymmentä kaksi;
The children of Immer, one thousand fifty and two.
41 Pashurin jälkeläisiä tuhat kaksisataa neljäkymmentä seitsemän;
The children of Pashchur, one thousand two hundred forty and seven.
42 Haarimin jälkeläisiä tuhat seitsemäntoista.
The children of Charim, one thousand and seventeen.
43 Leeviläisiä oli: Jeesuan ja Kadmielin jälkeläisiä, nimittäin Hoodevan jälkeläisiä, seitsemänkymmentä neljä.
The Levites: The children of Jeshua', of Kadmiel, of the children of Hodevah, seventy and four.
44 Veisaajia oli: Aasafin jälkeläisiä sata neljäkymmentä kahdeksan.
The singers: The children of Assaph, one hundred forty and eight.
45 Ovenvartijoita oli: Sallumin jälkeläisiä, Aaterin jälkeläisiä, Talmonin jälkeläisiä, Akkubin jälkeläisiä, Hatitan jälkeläisiä, Soobain jälkeläisiä sata kolmekymmentä kahdeksan.
The gatekeepers: The children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of 'Akkub, the children of Chatita, the children of Shobai, one hundred thirty and eight.
46 Temppelipalvelijoita oli: Siihan jälkeläiset, Hasufan jälkeläiset, Tabbaotin jälkeläiset,
The temple-servants: The children of Zicha, the children of Chassupha, the children of Tabba'oth,
47 Keeroksen jälkeläiset, Siian jälkeläiset, Paadonin jälkeläiset,
The children of Keross, the children of Si'a, the children of Padon,
48 Lebanan jälkeläiset, Hagaban jälkeläiset, Salmain jälkeläiset,
The children of Lebana, the children of Chagaba, the children of Salmai,
49 Haananin jälkeläiset, Giddelin jälkeläiset, Gaharin jälkeläiset,
The children of Chanan, the children of Giddel, the children of Gachar,
50 Reajan jälkeläiset, Resinin jälkeläiset, Nekodan jälkeläiset,
The children of Reayah, the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda.
51 Gassamin jälkeläiset, Ussan jälkeläiset, Paaseahin jälkeläiset,
The children of Gazzam, the children of 'Uzza, the children of Passeach.
52 Beesain jälkeläiset, Meunimin jälkeläiset, Nefusesimin jälkeläiset,
The children of Bessai, the children of Me'unim, the children of Nephishessim,

The children of Neziach, the children of Chatipha.

The children of Solomon's servants: The children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,
58 Jaalan jälkeläiset, Darkonin jälkeläiset, Giddelin jälkeläiset,
The children of Ya'ala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,
59 Sefatjan jälkeläiset, Hattilin jälkeläiset, Kooferet-Sebaimin jälkeläiset, Aamonin jälkeläiset.
The children of Shephatyah, the children of Chattil, the children of Pochereth-hazzebayim, the children of Amon.
60 Temppelipalvelijoita ja Salomon palvelijain jälkeläisiä oli kaikkiaan kolmesataa yhdeksänkymmentä kaksi.
All the temple-servants, and the children of Solomon' servants, were three hundred ninety and two.
61 Nämä ovat ne, jotka lähtivät Teel-Melahista, Teel-Harsasta, Kerub-Addonista ja Immeristä, voimatta ilmoittaa perhekuntaansa ja syntyperäänsä, olivatko israelilaisia:
And these were they who came up from Thel-melach, Thelcharsha, Kerub, Addon, and Immer, but they could not tell their family division and their descent, whether they were of Israel.
62 Delajan jälkeläiset, Tobian jälkeläiset, Nekodan jälkeläiset, kuusisataa neljäkymmentä kaksi.
The children of Delayah, the children of Tobiyah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.
63 Ja pappeja: Habaijan jälkeläiset, Koosin jälkeläiset, Barsillain jälkeläiset, sen, joka oli ottanut itsellensä vaimon gileadilaisen Barsillain tyttäristä ja jota kutsuttiin heidän nimellään.
And of the priests: The children of Chobayah, the children of Hakkoz, the children of Barzillai who had taken a wife from the daughters of Barzillai the Gil'adite, and was called after their name.
64 Nämä etsivät sukuluetteloitaan, niitä löytämättä, ja niin heidät julistettiin pappeuteen kelpaamattomiksi.
These sought for their family register, but it was not found: wherefore they were excluded, as unfit, from the priesthood.
65 Maaherra kielsi heitä syömästä korkeasti-pyhää, ennenkuin nousisi pappi, joka voi käyttää uurimia ja tummimia.
And the Thirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there should stand up a priest with the Urim and Thummim.
66 Koko seurakunta yhteenlaskettuna oli neljäkymmentäkaksi tuhatta kolmesataa kuusikymmentä,
The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and sixty:
67 paitsi heidän palvelijoitansa ja palvelijattariansa, joita oli seitsemäntuhatta kolmesataa kolmekymmentä seitsemän. Lisäksi oli heillä kaksisataa neljäkymmentä viisi mies-ja naisveisaajaa.
Besides these were their man-servants and their maid-servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred and forty and five singing men and singing women.
Their horses were seven hundred thirty and six; their mules, two hundred forty and five;
69 Kameleja heillä oli neljäsataa kolmekymmentä viisi, aaseja kuusituhatta seitsemänsataa kaksikymmentä.
[Their] camels, four hundred thirty and five: [their] asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
70 Osa perhekunta-päämiehistä antoi lahjoja rakennustyötä varten. Maaherra antoi rahastoon tuhat dareikkia kultaa, viisikymmentä maljaa ja viisisataa kolmekymmentä papin-ihokasta.
And a portion of the chiefs of the divisions gave unto the work. The Thirshatha gave to the treasure, of gold one thousand drachms, fifty bowls, five hundred and thirty coats for the priests.
71 Ja muutamat perhekunta-päämiehistä antoivat rakennusrahastoon kaksikymmentä tuhatta dareikkia kultaa ja kaksituhatta kaksisataa miinaa hopeata.
And some of the chiefs of the divisions gave to the treasury of the work, of gold twenty thousand drachms, and of silver two thousand and two hundred manehs.
72 Ja muu kansa antoi yhteensä kaksikymmentä tuhatta dareikkia kultaa ja kaksituhatta miinaa hopeata sekä kuusikymmentä seitsemän papin-ihokasta.
And what the rest of the people gave was, of gold twenty thousand drachms, and of silver two thousand manehs, and priests coats sixty and seven.
73 Ja papit, leeviläiset, ovenvartijat, veisaajat ja osa kansasta sekä temppelipalvelijat, koko Israel, asettuivat kaupunkeihinsa. Ja niin tuli seitsemäs kuukausi, ja israelilaiset olivat jo kaupungeissansa.
So the priests, and the Levites, and the gatekeepers, and the singers, and some of the people, and the temple-servants, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities: and so came round the seventh month, while the children of Israel were in their cities.
