Matteuksen 16
1 Ja fariseukset ja saddukeukset tulivat hänen luoksensa ja kiusasivat häntä pyytäen häntä näyttämään heille merkin taivaasta.
And having approached the Pharisees and Sadducees, testing they asked Him a sign out of heaven to show them.
2 Mutta hän vastasi ja sanoi heille: "Kun ilta tulee, sanotte te: 'Tulee selkeä ilma, sillä taivas ruskottaa',
And answering He said to them; Evening having come you say; Fair weather, is red for the sky.
3 ja aamulla: 'Tänään tulee rajuilma, sillä taivas ruskottaa ja on synkkä'. Taivaan muodon te osaatte arvioida, mutta aikain merkkejä ette osaa.
And in the morning; Today a storm, is red for being overcast the sky. (hypocrites *K*) The indeed appearance of the sky you know [how] to discern, however the signs of the times not you are able?
4 Tämä paha ja avionrikkoja sukupolvi tavoittelee merkkiä, mutta sille ei anneta muuta merkkiä kuin Joonaan merkki." Ja hän jätti heidät ja meni pois.
A generation evil and adulterous a sign seeks; and a sign not will be given to it only except the sign of Jonah (prophet. *K*) And having left them He went away.
5 Kun opetuslapset saapuivat toiselle rannalle, olivat he unhottaneet ottaa leipää mukaansa.
And having come the disciples (of him *k*) to the other side they forgot bread to take.
6 Ja Jeesus sanoi heille: "Varokaa ja kavahtakaa fariseusten ja saddukeusten hapatusta".
And Jesus said to them; do watch and do beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
7 Niin he puhuivat keskenään sanoen: "Emme ottaneet leipää mukaamme".
And they were reasoning among themselves saying Because bread not we took.
8 Mutta kun Jeesus sen huomasi, sanoi hän: "Te vähäuskoiset, mitä puhutte keskenänne siitä, ettei teillä ole leipää mukananne?
Having known [this] however Jesus said (to them: *k*) Why reason you among yourselves, O [you] of little faith, because bread not (you take? *N(K)O*)
9 Ettekö vielä käsitä? Ja ettekö muista niitä viittä leipää viidelletuhannelle ja kuinka monta vakallista otitte talteen,
Not yet do you understand nor remember the five loaves for the five thousand and how many hand-baskets you gathered?
10 ettekä niitä seitsemää leipää neljälletuhannelle ja kuinka monta vasullista otitte talteen?
Nor [remember] the seven loaves for the four thousand and how many baskets you gathered?
11 Kuinka te ette käsitä, etten minä puhunut teille leivästä? Vaan kavahtakaa fariseusten ja saddukeusten hapatusta."
How not understand you that not concerning (loaves *N(k)O*) I spoke to you? (do beware *N(k)O*) (also *no*) of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees!
12 Silloin he ymmärsivät, ettei hän käskenyt kavahtamaan leivän hapatusta, vaan fariseusten ja saddukeusten oppia.
Then they understood that not He said to beware of the leaven (of the loaves *N(k)O*) but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
13 Kun Jeesus tuli Filippuksen Kesarean tienoille, kysyi hän opetuslapsiltaan sanoen: "Kenen ihmiset sanovat Ihmisen Pojan olevan?"
Having come then Jesus into the district of Caesarea Philippi He was questioning the disciples of Him saying; Whom (Me *k*) do pronounce men to be the Son of man?
14 Niin he sanoivat: "Muutamat Johannes Kastajan, toiset Eliaan, toiset taas Jeremiaan tahi jonkun muun profeetoista".
And they said: Some indeed, John the Baptist, others however, Elijah, others however, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.
15 Hän sanoi heille: "Kenenkä te sanotte minun olevan?"
He says to them; You yourselves but whom Me do you pronounce to be?
16 Simon Pietari vastasi ja sanoi: "Sinä olet Kristus, elävän Jumalan Poika".
Answering now Simon Peter said; You yourself are the Christ the Son of God the living.
17 Jeesus vastasi ja sanoi hänelle: "Autuas olet sinä, Simon, Joonaan poika, sillä ei liha eikä veri ole sitä sinulle ilmoittanut, vaan minun Isäni, joka on taivaissa.
(and *k*) Answering (now *no*) Jesus said to him; Blessed are you, Simon Barjona! For flesh and blood not revealed [it] to you but the Father of Mine who [is] in the heavens.
18 Ja minä sanon sinulle: sinä olet Pietari, ja tälle kalliolle minä rakennan seurakuntani, ja tuonelan portit eivät sitä voita. (Hadēs g86)
I myself also I myself also now to you say that you yourself are Peter and on this the rock I will build My church, and [the] gates of hades not will prevail against it. (Hadēs g86)
19 Minä olen antava sinulle taivasten valtakunnan avaimet, ja minkä sinä sidot maan päällä, se on oleva sidottu taivaissa, ja minkä sinä päästät maan päällä, se on oleva päästetty taivaissa."
(and *ko*) I will give to you the keys of the kingdom of the heavens, and whatever (if *NK(o)*) you shall bind on the earth, will be bound in the heavens, and whatever (maybe *NK(o)*) you shall loose on the earth, will be loosed in the heavens.
20 Silloin hän varoitti vakavasti opetuslapsiaan kenellekään sanomasta, että hän on Kristus.
Then (he ordered *NK(O)*) the disciples (of him *k*) that to no one they may say that He himself is (Jesus *k*) the Christ.
21 Siitä lähtien Jeesus alkoi ilmoittaa opetuslapsilleen, että hänen piti menemän Jerusalemiin ja kärsimän paljon vanhimmilta ja ylipapeilta ja kirjanoppineilta ja tuleman tapetuksi ja kolmantena päivänä nouseman ylös.
From that time began Jesus (Christ *O*) to show to the disciples of Him that it is necessary for Him to Jerusalem to go away and many things to suffer from the elders and chief priests and scribes and to be killed and on the third day to be raised.
22 Silloin Pietari otti hänet erilleen ja rupesi nuhtelemaan häntä sanoen: "Jumala varjelkoon, Herra, älköön se sinulle tapahtuko".
And having taken aside Him Peter began to rebuke Him saying; Far be it from You, Lord; certainly not will be to You this.
23 Mutta hän kääntyi ja sanoi Pietarille: "Mene pois minun edestäni, saatana; sinä olet minulle pahennukseksi, sillä sinä et ajattele sitä, mikä on Jumalan, vaan sitä, mikä on ihmisten".
And having turned He said to Peter; do go behind Me Satan! A stumbling block you are (to me, *N(k)O*) For not your thoughts are of those of God but [of] the [things] of men.
24 Silloin Jeesus sanoi opetuslapsillensa: "Jos joku tahtoo minun perässäni kulkea, hän kieltäköön itsensä ja ottakoon ristinsä ja seuratkoon minua.
Then Jesus said to the disciples of Him; If anyone desires after Me to come, he should deny himself and he should take up the cross of him and he should follow Me.
25 Sillä joka tahtoo pelastaa elämänsä, hän kadottaa sen, mutta joka kadottaa elämänsä minun tähteni, hän löytää sen.
Who[ever] for (maybe *N(k)O*) shall desire the life of him to save, will lose it; who[ever] however maybe shall lose the life of him on account of Me, will find it.
26 Sillä mitä se hyödyttää ihmistä, vaikka hän voittaisi omaksensa koko maailman, mutta saisi sielullensa vahingon? Taikka mitä voi ihminen antaa sielunsa lunnaiksi?
What for (will it be profitable *N(k)O*) [for] a man, if the world whole he shall gain, but the soul of him shall lose? Or what will give a man [as] an exchange for the soul of him?
27 Sillä Ihmisen Poika on tuleva Isänsä kirkkaudessa enkeliensä kanssa, ja silloin hän maksaa kullekin hänen tekojensa mukaan.
Is about for the Son of the man to come in the glory of the Father of Him with the angels of Him and then He will give to each according to the deeds of him.
28 Totisesti minä sanon teille: tässä seisovien joukossa on muutamia, jotka eivät maista kuolemaa, ennenkuin näkevät Ihmisen Pojan tulevan kuninkuudessaan."
Amen I say to you (that *no*) there are some of those here (already standing *NK(o)*) who certainly not shall taste of death until when they may have seen the Son of Man coming in the kingdom of Him.
