Hesekielin 12
1 Ja minulle tuli tämä Herran sana:
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
2 "Ihmislapsi, sinä asut uppiniskaisen suvun keskellä, niiden, joilla on silmät nähdä, mutta eivät näe, ja korvat kuulla, mutta eivät kuule; sillä he ovat uppiniskainen suku.
Son of man, you dwell in the midst of the iniquities of those, who have eyes to see, and see not; and have ears to hear, and hear not: because it is a provoking house.
3 Sinä, ihmislapsi, tee itsellesi matkavarusteet ja mene päiväiseen aikaan heidän silmäinsä edessä pakkosiirtolaisuuteen; sinun on mentävä pakkosiirtolaisuuteen omalta paikkakunnaltasi toiseen paikkakuntaan heidän silmäinsä edessä. Ehkäpä he näkevät sen, sillä he ovat uppiniskainen suku.
You therefore, son of man, prepare yourself baggage for going into captivity by day in their sight; and you shall be led into captivity from your place into another place in their sight; that they may see that it is a provoking house.
4 Ja vie ulos varusteesi, niinkuin pakkosiirtolaiset varusteensa, päiväiseen aikaan heidän silmäinsä edessä; mutta lähde itse illalla heidän silmäinsä edessä, niinkuin pakkosiirtolaiset lähtevät.
And you shall carry forth your baggage, baggage for captivity, by day before their eyes: and you shall go forth at even, as a captive goes forth, in their sight.
5 Murtaudu läpi seinän heidän silmäinsä edessä ja vie ne siitä ulos.
Dig for yourself into the wall [of the house], and you shall pass through it in their sight:
6 Nosta ne hartioillesi heidän silmäinsä edessä ja vie ulos pilkkopimeässä; peitä kasvosi, niin ettet näe maata. Sillä ennusmerkiksi minä olen sinut pannut Israelin heimolle."
you shall be lifted up on [men's] shoulders, and shall go forth in secret: you shall cover your face, and shall not see the ground: because I have made you a sign to the house of Israel.
7 Ja minä tein, niinkuin minua oli käsketty: minä vein ulos päiväiseen aikaan varusteeni, niinkuin pakkosiirtolaiset varusteensa, mutta illalla minä murtauduin käsin läpi seinän; pilkkopimeässä minä ne vein ulos, minä nostin ne hartioilleni heidän silmäinsä edessä.
And I did thus according to all that he commanded me; and I carried forth my baggage for captivity by day, and in the evening I dug through the wall for myself, and went out secretly; I was taken up on [men's] shoulders before them.
8 Mutta aamulla minulle tuli tämä Herran sana:
And the word of the Lord came to me in the morning, saying,
9 "Ihmislapsi, eikö ole Israelin heimo, uppiniskainen suku, sinulle sanonut: 'Mitä sinä teet?'
Son of man, have not the house of Israel, the provoking house, said to you, What do you?
10 Sano heille: Näin sanoo Herra, Herra: Ruhtinasta, joka on Jerusalemissa, koskee tämä ennustus ja kaikkea Israelin heimoa, mikä on heidän keskuudessaan.
Say to them, Thus says the Lord God, the Prince and the Ruler in Israel, even to all the house of Israel who are in the midst of them:
11 Sano: Minä olen teille ennusmerkki: niinkuin minä tein, niin heille tehdään, pakkosiirtolaisuuteen, vankeuteen he menevät.
say, I am performing signs: as I have done, so shall it be to him: they shall go into banishment and captivity.
12 Ruhtinas, joka on heidän keskellänsä, nostaa nostettavansa hartioilleen ja lähtee ulos pilkkopimeässä; seinästä he murtautuvat läpi, viedäkseen siitä ulos vietävänsä. Kasvonsa hän peittää, koska hän ei ole silmillänsä näkevä maata.
And the prince in the midst of them shall be borne upon shoulders, and shall go forth in secret through the wall, and shall dig so that he may go forth thereby: he shall cover his face, that he may not be seen by [any] eye, and he himself shall not see the ground.
13 Minä levitän verkkoni hänen ylitsensä, ja hän takertuu minun pyydykseeni; minä vien hänet Baabeliin, kaldealaisten maahan, mutta sitä hän ei saa nähdä, ja sinne hän kuolee.
And I will spread out my net upon him, and he shall be caught in my toils: and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; but he shall not see it, though he shall die there.
14 Ja kaikki, keitä hänellä on ympärillään apunansa, ja kaikki hänen sotajoukkonsa minä hajotan kaikkiin tuuliin, ja minä ajan niitä takaa paljastetulla miekalla.
And I will scatter to every wind all his assistants round about him, and all that help him; and I will draw out a sword after them;
15 Ja he tulevat tietämään, että minä olen Herra, kun minä hajotan heidät pakanain sekaan ja sirotan heidät muihin maihin.
And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have scattered them among the nations; and I will disperse them in the countries.
16 Mutta vähäisen määrän heitä minä jätän miekasta, nälästä ja rutosta jäljelle kertomaan pakanain seassa, siellä, minne he joutuvat, kaikista kauhistuksistansa; ja ne tulevat tietämään, että minä olen Herra."
And I will leave of them [a few] men in number [spared] from the sword, and from famine, and pestilence; that they may declare all their iniquities among the nations whither they have gone; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
17 Ja minulle tuli tämä Herran sana:
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
18 "Ihmislapsi, syö leipäsi vavisten, juo vetesi väristen ja huolenalaisena
Son of man, eat your bread with sorrow, and drink [your] water with torment and affliction.
19 ja sano maan kansalle: Näin sanoo Herra, Herra Jerusalemin asukkaista Israelin maassa: He tulevat syömään leipänsä huolenalaisina ja juomaan vetensä kauhun vallassa, ja sen maa tulee autioksi kaikesta, mitä siinä on, kaikkien siinä asuvaisten väkivaltaisuuden tähden.
And you shall say to the people of the land, Thus says the Lord to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, on the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread in scarcity, and shall drink their water in desolation, that the land may be desolate with all that it contains: for all that dwell in it are ungodly.
20 Asutut kaupungit joutuvat raunioiksi, ja maa tulee autioksi; ja te tulette tietämään, että minä olen Herra."
And their inhabited cities shall be laid utterly waste, and the land shall be desolate; and you shall know that I am the Lord.
21 Ja minulle tuli tämä Herran sana:
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
22 "Ihmislapsi, miksi teillä on tämä pilkkalause Israelin maasta, kun sanotte: 'Aika venyy pitkälle, ja tyhjään raukeavat kaikki näyt?'
Son of man, what is your parable on the land of Israel, that you say, The days are long, the vision has perished?
23 Sentähden sano heille: Näin sanoo Herra, Herra: Minä teen lopun tästä pilkkalauseesta, niin ettei sitä enää lausuta Israelissa. Sano heille päinvastoin: Lähellä on aika ja kaikkien näkyjen täyttymys.
Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord; I will even set aside this parable, and the house of Israel shall no more at all use this parable: for you shall say to them, The days are at hand, and the import of every vision.
24 Sillä ei ole oleva enää petollista näkyä, ei liukasta ennustelua Israelin heimon keskuudessa.
For there shall no more be any false vision, nor any one prophesying flatteries in the midst of the children of Israel.
25 Sillä minä, Herra, minä puhun; ja minkä sanan minä puhun, se tapahtuu eikä enää viivy. Sillä teidän aikananne, uppiniskainen suku, minä sanan puhun ja sen myös täytän, sanoo Herra, Herra."
For I the Lord will speak my words; I will speak and perform [them], and will no more delay, for in your days, O provoking house, I will speak the word, and will perform [it], says the Lord.
26 Ja minulle tuli tämä Herran sana:
Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
27 "Ihmislapsi, katso, Israelin heimo sanoo: 'Niihin näkyihin, joita tämä näkee, on päiviä paljon, ja hän ennustaa kaukaisista ajoista'.
Son of man, behold, the provoking house of Israel boldly say, The vision which this man sees is for many days, and he prophesies for times afar off.
28 Sentähden sano heille: Näin sanoo Herra, Herra: Ei viivy enää yksikään minun sanani: Minkä sanan minä puhun, se tapahtuu, sanoo Herra, Herra."
Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord; Henceforth none of my words shall linger, which I shall speak: I will speak and do, says the Lord.
