1 Mitä tulee ovenvartijain osastoihin, niin oli koorahilaisia Meselemja, Kooren poika, Aasafin jälkeläisiä.
Concerning the divisions of the gatekeepers [who were] of the Korchites: Meshelemyahu the son of Kore, of the sons of Assaph.
2 Meselemjalla oli pojat: esikoinen Sakarja, toinen Jediael, kolmas Sebadja, neljäs Jatniel,
And Meshelemyahu had sons: Zecharyahu the first-born, Jedi'ael the second, Zebaiyahu the third, Jathniel the fourth,
3 viides Eelam, kuudes Joohanan, seitsemäs Eljoenai.
Elam the fifth, Jehochanan the sixth, Elyeho'enal the seventh,
4 Oobed-Edomilla oli pojat: esikoinen Semaja, toinen Joosabad, kolmas Jooah, neljäs Saakar, viides Netanel,
And 'Obed-edom had sons: Shema'yah the first-born, Jehosabad the second, Joach the third, and Sachar the fourth, and Nethanel the fifth,
5 kuudes Ammiel, seitsemäs Isaskar, kahdeksas Peulletai; sillä Jumala oli siunannut häntä.
'Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Pe'ulthai the eighth; for God had blessed him.
6 Ja hänen pojallensa Semajalle syntyi poikia, jotka hallitsivat isänsä sukua, sillä he olivat kykeneviä miehiä.
Also unto Shema'yah his son there were born sons, that were rulers for the house of their father; for they were mighty men of valor.
7 Semajan pojat olivat Otni, Refael, Oobed ja Elsabad ja hänen veljensä, kykeneviä miehiä, Elihu ja Semakja.
The sons of Shema'yah were 'Othni, and Rephael, and 'Obed, [and] Elsahad, his brothers [were] valiant men, Elihu, and Semachyahu.
8 Kaikki nämä olivat Oobed-Edomin jälkeläisiä, he sekä heidän poikansa ja veljensä, kykeneviä miehiä, tarmokkaita palveluksessaan, kaikkiaan kuusikymmentä kaksi Oobed-Edomin jälkeläistä.
All these were of the sons of 'Obed-edom: they and their sons and their brethren were valiant men in strength for the service, being sixty and two [descendants] of 'Obed-edom.
9 Meselemjalla oli poikia ja veljiä, kykeneviä miehiä, kaikkiaan kahdeksantoista.
And Meshelemyahu had sons and brethren, valiant men, eighteen.
10 Ja Hoosalla, joka oli Merarin jälkeläisiä, oli poikia: päämies Simri, jonka hänen isänsä, kun ei ollut esikoista, asetti päämieheksi;
Also Chossah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief, for [though] he was not the first-born, yet his father made him the chief;
11 toinen Hilkia, kolmas Tebalja, neljäs Sakarja; Hoosan poikia ja veljiä oli kaikkiaan kolmetoista.
Chilkiyahu the second, Tehalyahu the third, Zecharyahu the fourth; all the sons and brethren of Chossah were thirteen.
12 Näiden ovenvartijain osastojen, päämiesten, samoinkuin heidän veljiensä, tehtävänä oli vartiopalvelus; sillä heidän oli palveltava Herran temppelissä.
These divisions of the gatekeepers, after the chief men, had the watch along with their brethren, to minister in the house of the Lord.
13 Ja he heittivät arpaa joka ovesta, nuoremmat niinkuin vanhemmatkin, perhekuntiensa mukaan.
And they cast lots, the small as well as the great, according to their family divisions, for each and every gate.
14 Itäpuolen arpa lankesi Selemjalle; myöskin hänen pojallensa Sakarjalle, joka oli ymmärtäväinen neuvonantaja, heitettiin arpa, ja hänelle tuli pohjoispuolen arpa.
And the lot at the east fell for Shelemyahu. And for Zecharyahu his son, an intelligent counsellor, they cast lots, and his lot came out at the north.
15 Oobed-Edomille määräsi arpa etelän ja hänen pojilleen varastohuoneen.
For 'Obed-edom at the south; and to his sons [was assigned] the house of Assuppim.
16 Suppimille ja Hoosalle lännen, jossa on Salleket-portti ylöspäin kohoavan tien kohdalla: vartiopaikan toisen vartiopaikan viereen.
For Shuppim and for Chossah at the west, by the gate Shallecheth, on the ascending causeway, watch alongside of watch.
17 Idän puolella oli kuusi leeviläistä, pohjoisen puolella neljä joka päivä, etelän puolella neljä joka päivä ja varastohuoneen luona kaksi ja kaksi.
At the east were six Levites, at the north four for every day, at the south four for every day, and for [the house of] Assuppim always two.
18 Parparin luona, lännen puolella, oli neljä tiellä ja kaksi Parparin luona.
At the Parbar on the west, four at the causeway, and two at the Parbar.
19 Nämä ovat ovenvartijain osastot, koorahilaisten jälkeläisten ja Merarin jälkeläisten.
These are the divisions of the gatekeepers of the sons of the Korchites, and of the sons of Merari.
20 Leeviläisistä hoiti Ahia Jumalan temppelin aarrekammioita ja pyhien lahjojen aarteita.
And of the Levites, Achiyah was over the treasuries of the house of God, and over the treasuries of the holy things.
21 Ladanin pojat, geersonilaisten jälkeläiset, Ladanista polveutuvat geersonilaisen Ladanin perhekuntien päämiehet, jehieliläiset,
[As concerning] the sons of La'dan, the sons of the Gershunites of La'dan, the chiefs of the families of La'dan the Gershunite, were the Jechielites.
22 jehieliläisten jälkeläiset, olivat Seetam ja hänen veljensä Jooel; he hoitivat Herran temppelin aarrekammioita.
The sons of Jechieli, Zetham, and Joel his brother, were over the treasuries of the house of the Lord.
23 Mitä tulee amramilaisiin, jisharilaisiin, hebronilaisiin ja ossielilaisiin,
Of the 'Amramites, of the Yizharites, of the Hebronites, and of the 'Uzzielites,
24 niin Sebuel, Geersomin poika, joka oli Mooseksen poika, oli aarrekammioiden esimies.
[Was] even Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, superintendent of the treasuries.
25 Ja hänen Elieseristä polveutuvat veljensä olivat: tämän poika Rehabja, tämän poika Jesaja, tämän poika Jooram, tämän poika Sikri ja tämän poika Selomot.
And his brethren by Eli'ezer: Rechabyahu his son, and Jesha'yahu his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son.
26 Tämä Selomot ja hänen veljensä hoitivat kaikkia niiden pyhien lahjojen aarteita, jotka kuningas Daavid, perhekunta-päämiehet, tuhannen-ja sadanpäämiehet ja sotapäälliköt olivat pyhittäneet.
This Shelomoth and his brethren were over all the treasuries of the holy things, which king David had sanctified, together with the chiefs of the family divisions, the captains over the thousands and the hundreds, and the captains of the army.
27 Sodista ja saaliista he olivat ne pyhittäneet Herran temppelin voimassapitämiseksi.
Out of the wars, and out of the booty did they sanctify to maintain the house of the Lord.
28 Samoin kaikki, mitä Samuel, näkijä, Saul, Kiisin poika, Abner, Neerin poika, ja Jooab, Serujan poika, olivat pyhittäneet, kaikki, mikä pyhitettiin, jätettiin Selomitin ja hänen veljiensä hoitoon.
And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruyah, had sanctified, whatsoever [any one] had sanctified, was under the supervision of Shelomoth and of his brethren.
29 Jisharilaisista määrättiin Kenanja ja hänen poikansa maallisiin toimiin Israelissa, päällysmiehiksi ja tuomareiksi.
Of the Yizharites were Kenanyahu and his sons for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.
30 Hebronilaisista määrättiin Hasabja ja hänen veljensä, tuhat seitsemänsataa kykenevää miestä, Israelin hallinnon hoitoon Jordanin länsipuolella, kaikkinaisiin Herran toimiin ja kuninkaan palvelukseen.
Of the Hebronites were Chashabyahu and his brethren, valiant men, a thousand and seven hundred [in number], appointed over the affairs of Israel on this side of the Jordan to the west, for all the business of the Lord, and for the service of the king.
31 Hebronilaisia oli Jeria, hebronilaisten päämies, heidän polveutumisensa ja isiensä mukaan-Daavidin neljäntenäkymmenentenä hallitusvuotena heidät tutkittiin ja heidän joukostaan tavattiin kykeneviä miehiä Gileadin Jaeserissa-
Of the Hebronites was Jeriyah the chief, for the Hebronites, according to their generations by families. In the fortieth year of the reign of David were they inquired into, and there were found among them mighty men of valor at Ja'zer of Gil'ad.
32 sekä hänen veljensä, kaksituhatta seitsemänsataa kykenevää miestä, perhekunta-päämiehiä. Heidät kuningas Daavid asetti johtamaan ruubenilaisia, gaadilaisia ja toista puolta manasselaisten sukukuntaa kaikissa Jumalan ja kuninkaan asioissa.
And his brethren, valiant men, were two thousand and seven hundred chiefs of families: and king David appointed them over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Menasseh, for every matter pertaining to God, and the affairs of the king.
