Ruutin 1
1 Ja tuomarien hallitessa oli kallis aika maalla, ja mies Juudan Betlehemistä meni vaeltamaan Moabilaisten maalle, hän ja hänen emäntänsä ja kaksi hänen poikaansa.
And it was in [the] days of [the] judging of the judges and it was a famine in the land and he went a man from Beth-lehem Judah to sojourn in [the] region of Moab he and wife his and [the] two sons his.
2 Hänen nimensä oli EliMelek, ja hänen emäntänsä nimi Noomi, ja hänen kahden poikansa nimi Mahlon ja Kiljon, he olivat Ephratilaisia Juudan Betlehemistä. Ja kuin he tulivat Moabilaisten maalle, pysyivät he siellä.
And [the] name of the man [was] Elimelech and [the] name of wife his [was] Naomi and [the] name of [the] two sons his - [was] Mahlon and Kilion Ephrathites from Beth-lehem Judah and they came [the] region of Moab and they were there.
3 Ja EliMelek Noomin mies kuoli, ja hän jäi hänestä kahden poikansa kanssa.
And he died Elimelech [the] husband of Naomi and she was left she and [the] two sons her.
4 He naivat Moabilaisia vaimoja: yhden nimi oli Orpa ja toisen nimi Ruut, ja asuivat siellä liki kymmenen ajastaikaa.
And they took for themselves wives Moabite [the] name of the one [was] Orpah and [the] name of the second [was] Ruth and they dwelt there about ten years.
5 Ja kuolivat nekin molemmat, sekä Mahlon että Kiljon, ja se vaimo jäi jälkeen kahdesta pojastansa ja miehestänsä.
And they died also both of them Mahlon and Kilion and she was left the woman from both children her and from husband her.
6 Ja hän nousi miniöinensä ja palasi Moabilaisten maalta; sillä hän oli Moabilaisten maalla ollessansa kuullut, että Herra oli etsinyt kansaansa ja antanut heille leipää.
And she arose she and daughters-in-law her and she returned from [the] region of Moab if she had heard in [the] region of Moab that he had visited Yahweh people his by giving to them food.
7 Ja hän läksi pois siitä paikasta, jossa hän oli ollut, molempain miniöinsä kanssa; ja kuin he matkustivat tiellä palataksensa Juudan maalle,
And she went out from the place where she had been there and [the] two daughters-in-law her [were] with her and they went on the way to return to [the] land of Judah.
8 Sanoi Noomi kahdelle miniällensä: menkäät ja palatkaat kukin teidän äitinne huoneesen: tehköön Herra teille laupiuden, niinkuin te olette niille kuolleille ja minulle tehneet!
And she said Naomi to [the] two daughters-in-law her go return [each] woman to [the] house of mother her (may he deal *Q(K)*) Yahweh with you covenant loyalty just as you have dealt with the dead and with me.
9 Herra antakoon teidän kummankin löytää levon miehensä huoneessa! Ja hän suuta antoi heidän, ja he korottivat äänensä ja itkivät,
May he give Yahweh to you and find rest [each] woman [the] house of husband her and she kissed them and they raised voice their and they wept.
10 Ja sanoivat hänelle: sinun kanssas me käymme kansas tykö.
And they said to her that with you we will return to people your.
11 Mutta Noomi sanoi: palatkaat, tyttäreni: miksi te tahdotte minun kanssani käydä? kuinka minä taidan lapsia saada minun kohdussani teille mieheksi?
And she said Naomi go back O daughters my why? will you go with me ¿ still [belong] to me [do] sons in inward parts my and they will become of you husbands.
12 Palatkaat, minun tyttäreni, ja menkäät, sillä minä olen ylen vanha miestä ottamaan; ja vaikka minä sanoisin: se on toivottava, että minä ottaisin tänä yönä itselleni miehen ja synnyttäisin poikia,
Go back O daughters my go for I am [too] old for belonging to a husband if I said there for me [is] hope also I belonged this night to a husband and also I bore sons.
13 Kuinka te odottaisitte niinkauvan kuin ne suureksi tulisivat? Ja kuinka te taidatte viivyttää, ettette ota miestä? Ei, minun tyttäreni: sillä minä suuresti murehdin teidän tähtenne, ja Herran käsi on sattunut minuun.
¿ Therefore - will you wait until that they will grow up ¿ therefore will you shut yourselves off to not to belong to a husband may not [it be] O daughters my for it is bitter to me very more than you that it has gone forth on me [the] hand of Yahweh.
14 Niin he korottivat äänensä ja itkivät vielä hartaammasti; ja Orpa antoi suuta anoppinsa, mutta Ruut riippui hänessä.
And they raised voice their and they wept again and she kissed Orpah mother-in-law her and Ruth she clung to her.
15 Mutta hän sanoi hänelle: katsos, kälys on palannut omaistensa tykö ja jumalainsa tykö: palaja sinäkin kälys kanssa!
And she said there! she has returned sister-in-law your to people her and to gods her go back after sister-in-law your.
16 Ruut vastasi: älä minulle sitä puhu, että minä luovun sinusta ja palajan pois tyköäs; sillä kuhunka sinä menet, sinne myös minä menen, ja kussa sinä yödyt, siellä tahdon myös minä yötä olla: sinun kansas on minun kansani, ja sinun Jumalas on minun Jumalani.
And she said Ruth may not you entreat me to abandon you to turn back from after you for to where you will go I will go and at where you will lodge I will lodge people your [will be] people my and God your [will be] God my.
17 Kussa sinä kuolet, siellä minäkin tahdon kuolla ja itseni haudattaa antaa. Herra tehköön minulle sen ja sen, jos ei ainoastaan kuolema eroita meitä!
At where you will die I will die and there I will be buried thus may he do Yahweh to me and thus may he add if death it will separate between me and between you.
18 Kuin hän näki hänen täydellä mielellä häntä seuraavan, lakkasi hän sitä puhumasta hänen kanssansa.
And she saw that [was] determined she to go with her and she ceased to speak to her.
19 Ja he matkustivat kahden Betlehemiin asti. Ja kuin he tulivat Betlehemiin, liikkui koko kaupunki heidän tähtensä, ja sanoivat: onko tämä Noomi?
And they went [the] two of them until came they Beth-lehem and it was when came they Beth-lehem and it was excited all the city on them and they [fem] said ¿ [is] this Naomi.
20 Mutta hän sanoi heille: älkäät minua kutsuko Noomi, vaan kutsukaat minua Mara; sillä Kaikkivaltias on minun suuresti surulliseksi tehnyt.
And she said to them may not you call me Naomi call me Mara for he has caused bitterness [the] Almighty to me exceedingly.
21 Täysinäisenä minä täältä läksin, vaan Herra antoi minun tyhjänä palata. Miksi te siis kutsutte minua Noomi? sillä Herra on minun alentanut ja Kaikkivaltias on minua vaivannut.
I full I went and empty he has brought back me Yahweh why? do you call me Naomi and Yahweh he has testified against me and [the] Almighty he has done harm to me.
22 Ja niin palasi Noomi, ja Ruut Moabilainen hänen miniänsä palasi hänen kanssansa Moabilaisten maalta; ja he tulivat Betlehemiin ohran leikkaamisen alussa.
And she returned Naomi and Ruth the Moabite [woman] daughter-in-law her [was] with her who returned from [the] region of Moab and they they came Beth-lehem at [the] beginning of [the] harvest of barley.
