Psalmien 95

1 Tulkaat, veisatkaamme kiitosta Herralle, ja iloitkaamme meidän autuutemme turvalle!

Come, we sing to YHWH, We shout to the rock of our salvation.

2 Tulkaamme hänen kasvoinsa eteen kiitoksella, ja riemuitkaamme hänelle lauluilla!

We come before His face with thanksgiving, We shout to Him with psalms.

3 Sillä Herra on suuri Jumala, ja suuri kuningas kaikkein jumalain ylitse.

For YHWH [is] a great God, And a great King over all gods.

4 Sillä hänen kädessänsä on kaikki, mitä maa kantaa, ja vuorten kukkulat ovat myös hänen.

In whose hand [are] the deep places of earth, And the strong places of hills [are] His.

5 Sillä hänen on meri, ja hän on sen tehnyt, ja hänen kätensä ovat kuivan valmistaneet.

Whose is the sea, and He made it, And His hands formed the dry land.

6 Tulkaat, kumartakaamme ja polvillemme langetkaamme, ja maahan laskeukaamme Herran meidän Luojamme eteen!

Come in, we bow ourselves, and we bend, We kneel before YHWH our Maker.

7 Sillä hän on meidän Jumalamme ja me hänen elatuskansansa, ja hänen kättensä lauma. Tänäpänä, jos kuulette hänen äänensä,

For He [is] our God, and we the people of His pasture, And the flock of His hand, Today, if you listen to His voice,

8 Niin älkäät paaduttako sydämiänne, niinkuin Meribassa tapahtui, niinkuin kiusauksen päivänä korvessa,

Do not harden your heart as [in] Meribah, As [in] the day of Massah in the wilderness,

9 Kussa isänne minua kiusasivat, koettelivat minua, ja näkivät myös minun tekoni;

Where your fathers have tried Me, Have proved Me, indeed, have seen My work.

10 Että minä neljäkymmentä ajastaikaa suutuin tähän kansaan, ja sanoin: se on senkaltainen kansa, jonka sydämet aina eksyä tahtovat, ja jotka minun tietäni ei tahtoneet oppia;

Forty years I am weary of the generation, And I say, “A people erring in heart—they! And they have not known My ways”:

11 Joille minä vihoissani vannoin: ettei heidän pidä minun lepooni tuleman.

Where I swore in My anger, “If they come into My rest—!”
