1 Psalmi sabbatina veisattava. Hyvä on Herraa kiittää, ja veisata kiitosta sinun nimelles, sinä kaikkein Ylimmäinen.
A Psalme or song for the Sabbath day. It is a good thing to praise the Lord, and to sing vnto thy Name, O most High,
2 Aamulla julistaa armoas, ja ehtoolla totuuttas,
To declare thy louing kindenesse in the morning, and thy trueth in the night,
3 Kymmenkielisellä ja psaltarilla, soittain kanteleilla.
Vpon an instrument of tenne strings, and vpon the viole with the song vpon the harpe.
4 Sillä sinä ilahutit minua, Herra, sinun teoissas: ja minä iloiten kerskaan kättes töitä.
For thou, Lord, hast made mee glad by thy workes, and I wil reioyce in the workes of thine handes.
5 Herra, kuinka sinun tekos ovat niin suuret? Sinun ajatukses ovat ylen syvät.
O Lord, how glorious are thy workes! and thy thoughtes are very deepe.
6 Hullu ei usko sitä, ja tomppeli ei ymmärrä niitä.
An vnwise man knoweth it not, and a foole doeth not vnderstand this,
7 Jumalattomat viheriöitsevät niinkuin ruoho, ja pahointekiät kaikki kukoistavat, siihenasti kuin he hukkuvat ijankaikkisesti.
(When the wicked growe as the grasse, and all the workers of wickednesse doe flourish) that they shall be destroyed for euer.
8 Mutta sinä, Herra, olet korkein, ja pysyt ijankaikkisesti.
But thou, O Lord, art most High for euermore.
9 Sillä katso, sinun vihollises, Herra, katso, sinun vihollises pitää katooman, ja kaikki pahantekiät pitää hajoitettaman.
For loe, thine enemies, O Lord: for loe, thine enemies shall perish: all the workers of iniquitie shall be destroyed.
10 Mutta minun sarveni tulee korotetuksi niinkuin yksisarvisen, ja minä voidellaan tuoreella öljyllä,
But thou shalt exalt mine horne, like the vnicornes, and I shalbe anoynted with fresh oyle.
11 Ja minun silmäni näkevät viholliseni, ja minun korvani kuulevat pahoja, jotka heitänsä asettavat minua vastaan.
Mine eye also shall see my desire against mine enemies: and mine eares shall heare my wish against the wicked, that rise vp against me.
12 Vanhurskaan pitää viheriöitsemän niinkuin palmupuu, ja kasvaman niinkuin sedripuu Libanonissa.
The righteous shall flourish like a palme tree, and shall grow like a Cedar in Lebanon.
13 Jotka ovat istutetut Herran huoneessa, pitää viheriöitsemän meidän Jumalamme kartanoissa.
Such as bee planted in the house of the Lord, shall flourish in the courtes of our God.
14 Heidän pitää vesoman vielä vanhuudessansa, hedelmälliset ja vihannat oleman,
They shall still bring foorth fruite in their age: they shall be fat and flourishing,
15 Ja julistaman, että Herra on niin hurskas, minun turvani, ja ei ole hänessä vääryyttä.
To declare that the Lord my rocke is righteous, and that none iniquitie is in him.
