Psalmien 87

1 Psalmi, Koran lasten veisu. Hän on vahvasti perustettu pyhäin vuorten päälle.

A Psalm of the sons of Korah; a Song. His foundation is in the holy mountains.

2 Herra rakastaa Zionin portteja enempi kuin kaikkia Jakobin asuinsioja.

The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

3 Korkiat ja kunnialliset asiat sinussa saarnataan, sinä Jumalan kaupunki, (Sela)

Glorious things are spoken of Thee, O city of God. (Selah)

4 Minä annan saarnata Rahabin ja Babelin edessä, että he minun tuntevat: katso, Philistealaiset, Tyrolaiset ja Etiopialaiset syntyvät siellä.

'I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as among them that know Me; behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this one was born there.'

5 Zionille pitää sanottaman, että kaikkinaiset kansat siellä syntyvät, ja että Korkein sitä rakentaa.

But of Zion it shall be said: 'This man and that was born in her; and the Most High Himself doth establish her.'

6 Herra antaa saarnata kirjoituksessa kaikkinaisilla kielillä, että myös muutamat heistä siellä syntyvät, (Sela)

The LORD shall count in the register of the peoples: 'This one was born there.' (Selah)

7 Ja veisaajat niinkuin tanssissa, kaikki minun lähteeni sinussa.

And whether they sing or dance, all my thoughts are in Thee.
