Psalmien 77
1 Asaphin Psalmi, Jedutunin edestä, edelläveisaajalle. Minä huudan äänelläni Jumalaa: Jumalaa minä huudan, ja hän kuultelee minua.
For the Leader; for Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph. I will lift up my voice unto God, and cry; I will lift up my voice unto God, that He may give ear unto me.
2 Minun hätä-ajallani etsin minä Herraa: minun käteni on yöllä ojettu, ja ei lakkaa; sillä ei minun sieluni salli itseänsä lohduttaa.
In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord; with my hand uplifted, mine eye streameth in the night without ceasing; my soul refuseth to be comforted.
3 Minä ajattelen tosin Jumalan päälle, olen kuitenkin murheissani: minä tutkin, ja henkeni on sittekin ahdistuksessa, (Sela)
When I think thereon, O God, I must moan; when I muse thereon, my spirit fainteth. (Selah)
4 Sinä pidät minun silmäni, että he valvovat: minä olen niin voimatoin, etten minä voi puhua.
Thou holdest fast the lids of mine eyes; I am troubled, and cannot speak.
5 Minä ajattelen vanhoja aikoja, entisiä vuosia:
I have pondered the days of old, the years of ancient times.
6 Minä muistan yöllä minun kantelettani: minä puhun sydämelleni, ja minun henkeni tutkii:
In the night I will call to remembrance my song; I will commune with mine own heart; and my spirit maketh diligent search:
7 Heittäneekö Jumala pois ijankaikkisesti, ja ei yhtään armoa silleen osoittane?
'Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will He be favourable no more?
8 Puuttuneeko hänen laupiutensa ijankaikkisesti, ja olleeko lupauksella jo loppu suvusta sukuhun?
Is His mercy clean gone for ever? Is His promise come to an end for evermore?
9 Onko Jumala unohtanut olla armollinen? ja sulkenut laupiutensa vihan tähden? (Sela)
Hath God forgotten to be gracious? Hath He in anger shut up his compassions?' (Selah)
10 Minä sanoin: se on minun heikkouteni; mutta Ylimmäisen oikia käsi voi kaikki muuttaa.
And I say: 'This is my weakness, that the right hand of the Most High could change.
11 Sentähden minä muistan Herran töitä, ja minä ajattelen entisiä ihmeitäs,
I will make mention of the deeds of the LORD; yea, I will remember Thy wonders of old.
12 Ja puhun kaikista sinun töistäs, ja sanon sinun teoistas.
I will meditate also upon all Thy work, and muse on Thy doings.'
13 Jumala, sinun ties on pyhä: kussa on niin väkevää Jumalaa kuin sinä Jumala?
O God, Thy way is in holiness; who is a great god like unto God?
14 Sinä olet se Jumala, joka ihmeitä tekee: sinä osoitit voimas kansain seassa.
Thou art the God that doest wonders; Thou hast made known Thy strength among the peoples.
15 Sinä lunastit sinun kansas käsivarrellas, Jakobin ja Josephin lapset, (Sela)
Thou hast with Thine arm redeemed Thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah)
16 Vedet näkivät sinun, Jumala, vedet näkivät sinun ja vapisivat, ja syvyydet pauhasivat,
The waters saw Thee, O God; the waters saw Thee, they were in pain; the depths also trembled.
17 Paksut pilvet kaasivat vettä, pilvet jylisivät ja nuolet lensivät sekaan.
The clouds flooded forth waters; the skies sent out a sound; Thine arrows also went abroad.
18 Se jylisi taivaassa, ja sinun leimaukses välkkyi maan piirin päälle: maa liikkui ja värisi siitä.
The voice of Thy thunder was in the whirlwind; the lightnings lighted up the world; the earth trembled and shook.
19 Sinun ties oli meressä, ja sinun polkus olivat suurissa vesissä, ja ei sinun jälkiäs kenkään tuntenut.
Thy way was in the sea, and Thy path in the great waters, and Thy footsteps were not known.
20 Sinä veit kansas niinkuin lammaslauman, Moseksen ja Aaronin kautta.
Thou didst lead Thy people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
