Psalmien 69
1 Davidin Psalmi kukkasista, edelläveisaajalle. Jumala, auta minua; sillä vedet käyvät hamaan minun sieluuni asti.
TO THE OVERSEER. [SET] ON “LILIES.” BY DAVID. Save me, O God, for waters have come to the soul.
2 Minä vajoon syvään mutaan, jossa ei pohjaa ole: minä olen tullut syviin vesiin, ja virta upottaa minun.
I have sunk in deep mire, And there is no standing, I have come into the depths of the waters, And a flood has overflown me.
3 Minä väsyn huutamisesta: minun kurkkuni kuivettuu: minun näkyni vaipuu, toivoissani minun Jumalani päälle.
I have been wearied with my calling, My throat has been burned, My eyes have been consumed, waiting for my God.
4 Niitä on enempi kuin päässäni hiuksia, jotka ilman syytä minua vihaavat, jotka syyttömästi minun viholliseni ovat, ja minua hukuttavat, ovat väkevät: niitä täytyy minun maksaa, joita en minä ryövännyt.
Those hating me without cause Have been more than the hairs of my head, Mighty have been my destroyers, My lying enemies, That which I did not take away—I bring back.
5 Jumala, sinäpä tiedät minun tyhmyyteni, ja minun rikokseni ei ole sinulta salatut.
O God, You have known Concerning my overturn, And my desolations have not been hid from You.
6 Älä salli heitä häpiään tulla minun tähteni, jotka sinua odottavat, Herra, Herra Zebaot: älä anna heitä häväistä minun tähteni, jotka sinua etsivät, Israelin Jumala.
Do not let those waiting on You be ashamed because of me, O Lord, YHWH of Hosts, Do not let those seeking You Blush because of me, O God of Israel.
7 Sillä sinun tähtes minä pilkkaa kärsin; minun kasvoni ovat täynnä häpiää.
For because of You I have borne reproach, Shame has covered my face.
8 Minä olen muukalaiseksi veljilleni tullut, ja oudoksi äitini lapsille.
I have been a stranger to my brother, And a foreigner to sons of my mother.
9 Sillä sinun huonees kiivaus syö minua: ja heidän pilkkansa, jotka sinua pilkkasivat, lankesi minun päälleni.
For [my] zeal for Your house has consumed me, And the reproaches of Your reproachers Have fallen on me.
10 Minä itkin ja paastosin hartaasti, ja minä pilkattiin päälliseksi.
And I weep in the fasting of my soul, And it is for a reproach to me.
11 Ja minä puin säkin ylleni, ja olin heille sananlaskuksi.
And I make my clothing sackcloth, And I am for an allegory to them.
12 Jotka portissa istuvat, ne minusta jaarittelevat, ja juodessansa he minusta lauleskelevat.
Those sitting at the gate meditate concerning me, And those drinking strong drink, Play on instruments.
13 Mutta minä rukoilen sinua, Herra, otollisella ajalla, Jumala, sinun suuren laupiutes puolesta: kuule minua sinun autuutes totuuden tähden.
And my prayer [is] to You, O YHWH, A time of good pleasure, O God, In the abundance of Your kindness, Answer me in the truth of Your salvation.
14 Pelasta minua loasta, etten minä vajoaisi; että minä pelastettaisiin vihollisistani ja syvistä vesistä.
Deliver me from the mire, and do not let me sink, Let me be delivered from those hating me, And from deep places of waters.
15 Ettei vuo minua upottaisi ja syvyydet minua lainoaisi, eikä kaivon suu suljettaisi minun päälleni.
Do not let a flood of waters overflow me, Nor let the deep swallow me up, Nor let the pit shut her mouth on me.
16 Kuule minua, Herra; sillä sinun laupiutes on hyvä: käännä sinuas minun puoleeni, sinun suuren laupiutes tähden.
Answer me, O YHWH, for Your kindness [is] good, Turn to me according to the abundance of Your mercies,
17 Ja älä peitä kasvojas palvelialtas; sillä minä ahdistetaan: kuultele minua nopiasti.
And do not hide Your face from Your servant, For I am in distress—hurry, answer me.
18 Lähene minun sieluani, ja lunasta häntä: minun vihollisteni tähden pelasta minua.
Be near to my soul—redeem it, Ransom me because of my enemies.
19 Sinäpä tiedät pilkkani, häpiäni ja häväistykseni: kaikki minun viholliseni ovat edessäs.
You have known my reproach, And my shame, and my blushing, All my adversaries [are] before You.
20 Pilkka särkee minun sydämeni ja vaivaa minua: minä odotan, jos joku armahtais, ja ei ole kenkään, ja lohduttajia, vaan en ketään löydä.
Reproach has broken my heart, and I am sick, And I look for a bemoaner, and there is none, And for comforters, and I have found none.
21 Ja he antoivat minulle sappea syödäkseni, ja etikkaa juodakseni minun janossani.
And they give gall for my food, And cause me to drink vinegar for my thirst.
22 Heidän pöytänsä olkoon heille paulaksi, sekä kostoksi että lankeemiseksi.
Their table before them is for a snare, And for a repayment—for a trap.
23 Tulkoon heidän silmänsä pimiäksi, ettei he näkisi, ja salli heidän lanteensa aina horjua.
Their eyes are darkened from seeing, And their loins continually shake You.
24 Vuodata närkästykses heidän päällensä, ja hirmuinen vihas käsittäköön heitä,
Pour Your indignation on them, And the fierceness of Your anger seizes them.
25 Olkoon heidän huoneensa kylmillä; ja ei kenkään olko, joka heidän majassansa asuis.
Their tower is desolated, There is no dweller in their tents.
26 Sillä he vainoovat sitä, jota lyönyt olet, ja juttelevat niiden kipua, joita haavoittanut olet.
For they have pursued him [whom] You have struck, And recount of the pain of Your pierced ones.
27 Salli heitä langeta synnistä syntiin, ettei he tulisi sinun vanhurskautees.
Give punishment for their iniquity, And they do not enter into Your righteousness.
28 Pyyhi heitä eläväin kirjasta, ettei he kirjoitettaisi vanhurskasten kanssa.
They are blotted out of the scroll of life, And are not written with the righteous.
29 Mutta minä olen raadollinen ja murheellinen: Jumala, sinun autuutes suojelkoon minua!
And I [am] afflicted and pained, Your salvation, O God, sets me on high.
30 Minä kiitän Jumalan nimeä veisuulla, ja suuresti ylistän häntä kiitoksella.
I praise the Name of God with a song, And I magnify Him with thanksgiving,
31 Se kelpaa paremmin Herralle kuin härkä taikka mulli, jolla ovat sarvet ja sorkat.
And it is better to YHWH than an ox, A bullock—horned [and] hoofed.
32 Raadolliset näkevät sen ja iloitsevat, ja jotka Jumalaa etsivät, heidän sydämensä pitää elämän.
The humble have seen—they rejoice, You who seek God—and your heart lives.
33 Sillä Herra kuulee köyhiä, ja ei hän vankiansa katso ylön.
For YHWH listens to the needy, And He has not despised His bound ones.
34 Kiittäkään häntä taivaat ja maa, meri, ja kaikki kuin niissä liikkuvat.
The heavens and earth praise Him, Seas, and every moving thing in them.
35 Sillä Jumala auttaa Zionia ja rakentaa Juudan kaupungit, että siellä asutaan, ja se perinnöllä omistetaan.
For God saves Zion, And builds the cities of Judah, And they have dwelt there, and possess it.
36 Ja hänen palveliainsa siemen sen perii: ja ne, jotka hänen nimeänsä rakastavat, pitää asuman siinä.
And the seed of His servants inherit it, And those loving His Name dwell in it!
