Psalmien 43

1 Tuomitse minua, Jumala, ja ratkaise minun asiani armotointa kansaa vastaan, ja päästä minua kavaloista ja vääristä ihmisistä.

Vindicate me, O God, and plead my cause, Against a nation, without lovingkindness, From the man of deceit and perversity, wilt thou deliver me?

2 Sillä sinä olet minun väkevyyteni Jumala, miksis syökset minun pois? miksis minun annat murheissani käydä, koska vihollinen minua ahdistaa?

For, thou, art my defending God—Wherefore hast thou rejected me? Wherefore in gloom should I wander, because of the oppression of an enemy?

3 Lähetä valkeutes ja totuutes minua saattamaan, ja tuomaan sinun pyhän vuores tykö ja sinun asumises tykö.

Send forth thy light and thy faithfulness, Let, them, lead me, Let them bring me into thy holy mountain, and into thy habitations:

4 Ja minä kävisin sisälle Jumalan alttarin tykö, sen Jumalan tykö, joka minun iloni ja riemuni on, ja kiittäisin sinua kanteleilla, Jumalani, minun Jumalani.

That I may go in unto the altar of God, Unto GOD, mine exultant joy, —That I may praise thee with the lyre, O God—mine own God!

5 Mitäs murehdit, sieluni, ja olet minussa niin levotoin? Turvaa Jumalaan; sillä minä vielä nytkin häntä kiitän, että hän on minun kasvoini apu ja minun Jumalani.

Why shouldst thou be cast down, O my soul? And why shouldst thou moan over me, Wait thou for God, for yet shall I praise him, As the triumph of my presence, and my God.
