Psalmien 149

1 Halleluja! Veisatkaat Herralle uusi veisu: pyhäin seurakunnan pitää häntä kiittämän.

Praise ye Yah, Sing to Yahweh a song that is new, his praise in the convocation of the men of lovingkindness.

2 Iloitkaan Israel tekiässänsä: Zionin lapset riemuitkaan Kuninkaastansa.

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him, Let the sons of Zion exult in their king;

3 Heidän pitää tanssissa hänen nimeänsä kiittämän: harpuilla ja kanteleilla pitää heidän soittaman.

Let them praise his Name in the dance, with timbrel and lyre, Let them make music to him.

4 Sillä Herra rakastaa kansaansa: hän kunnioittaa nöyriä autuudella.

For Yahweh is taking pleasure in his people, He will beautify humbled ones with victory.

5 Pyhäin pitää iloitseman kunnialla, ja kiittämän vuoteissansa.

Let the men of lovingkindness exult as they glory, Let them shout aloud upon their beds:

6 Heidän suussansa pitää Jumalan ylistys oleman, ja kaksiteräiset miekat heidän käsissänsä,

The high songs of GOD be in their throat, and a two-edged sword in their hand:

7 Kostamaan pakanoille, ja rankaisemaan kansoja,

To execute an avenging among the nations, rebukes among the peoples:

8 Heidän kuninkaitansa sitomaan kahleisiin, ja heidän jaloimpiansa rautakahleisiin,

To bind their kings with fetters, and their honoured ones with iron bands:

9 Ja tekemään heille kirjoitetun oikeuden: tämä kunnia pitää kaikille hänen pyhillensä oleman, Halleluja!

To execute upon them the sentence written, An honour, shall it be to all his men of lovingkindness. Praise ye Yah!
