Psalmien 148
1 Halleluja! Kiittäkäät Herraa taivaissa, kiittäkäät häntä korkeudessa.
Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise ye him in the high places.
2 Kiittäkäät häntä kaikki hänen enkelinsä: kiittäkäät häntä kaikki hänen sotaväkensä.
Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
3 Kiittäkäät häntä aurinko ja kuu: kiittäkäät häntä kaikki kirkkaat tähdet.
Praise ye him, O sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars and light.
4 Kiittäkäät häntä, te taivasten taivaat, ja vedet, jotka taivasten päällä ovat.
Praise him, ye heavens of heavens: and let all the waters that are above the heavens
5 Heidän pitää Herran nimeä kiittämän; sillä hän käski, ja ne luoduksi tulivat.
Praise the name of the Lord. For he spoke, and they were made: he commanded, and they were created.
6 Hän pitää ylös ne aina ja ijankaikkisesti: hän asettaa heitä, ettei heidän toisin käymän pitäisi.
He hath established them for ever, and for ages of ages: he hath made a decree, and it shall not pass away.
7 Kiittäkäät Herraa maan päällä, te valaskalat ja kaikki syvyydet;
Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all ye deeps:
8 Tuli ja rakeet, lumi ja sumu, tuulispää, jotka hänen sanansa toimittavat,
Fire, hail, snow, ice, stormy winds which fulfill his word:
9 Vuoret ja kaikki kukkulat, hedelmälliset puut ja kaikki sedripuut;
Mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars:
10 Pedot ja kaikki eläimet, madot ja siivelliset linnut;
Beasts and all cattle: serpents and feathered fowls:
11 Maan kuninkaat ja kaikki kansat, päämiehet ja kaikki tuomarit maan päällä;
Kings of the earth and all people: princes and all judges of the earth:
12 Nuorukaiset ja neitseet, vanhat nuorten kanssa:
Young men and maidens: let the old with the younger, praise the name of the Lord:
13 Kiittäkään Herran nimeä; sillä hänen ainoan nimensä on korotettu, ja hänen suuri kunniansa ylitse maan ja taivaan.
For his name alone is exalted.
14 Ja hän korottaa sarven kansallensa: kaikki hänen pyhänsä kiittäkäät, Israelin lapset, kansa joka häntä lähin on, Halleluja!
The praise of him is above heaven and earth: and he hath exalted the horn of his people. A hymn to all his saints: to the children of Israel, a people approaching to him. Alleluia.
