Psalmien 130

1 Veisu korkeimmassa Kuorissa. Syvyydessä minä huudan sinua, Herra.

A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths, have I cried unto thee, O Yahweh.

2 Herra, kuule minun ääneni: vaarinottakaan korvas rukousteni äänestä.

O My Lord! hearken thou unto my voice, —Let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications,

3 Jos sinä, Herra, soimaat syntiä: Herra, kuka siis pysyy?

If, iniquities, thou shouldest mark, O Yah, O My Lord, who could stand?

4 Sillä sinun tykönäs on anteeksi antamus, että sinua peljättäisiin.

But, with thee, is forgiveness, that thou mayest be revered.

5 Minä odotan Herraa: sieluni odottaa, ja minä toivon hänen sanansa päälle.

I have waited for Yahweh, My soul hath waited for his word;

6 Sieluni vartioitsee Herraa huomenvartiosta toiseen huomenvartioon asti.

I have hoped, O my soul, for My Lord, more than they who watch for the morning, who watch for the morning.

7 Israel toivokaan Herran päälle; sillä Herralla on armo, ja runsas lunastus hänellä.

Wait, O Israel, for Yahweh, —for, with Yahweh, is lovingkindness, and there aboundeth with him—redemption.

8 Ja hän lunastaa Israelin kaikista synneistänsä.

He, therefore, will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
