Psalmien 127

1 Salomon veisu korkeimmassa Kuorissa. Jos ei Herra huonetta rakenna, niin hukkaan työtä tekevät, jotka sitä rakentavat: jos ei Herra kaupunkia varjele, niin vartiat hukkaan valvovat.

2 Se on turha, että te varhain nousette ja hiljain maata menette, ja syötte leipänne surulla; sillä hän antaa ystävillensä heidän maatessansa.

vanity: vain to/for you to rise to arise: rise to delay to dwell to eat food: bread [the] toil so to give: give to/for beloved his sleep

3 Katso, lapset ovat Herran lahja, ja kohdun hedelmä on anto.

behold inheritance LORD son: child wages fruit [the] belly: womb

4 Kuin nuolet väkevän kädessä, niin ovat nuorukaiset.

like/as arrow in/on/with hand mighty man so son: child [the] youth

5 Autuas on se, jonka viini on niitä täynnänsä: ei ne häväistä, kuin heillä vihollistensa kanssa portissa tekemistä on.
