Psalmien 119
1 Autuaat ovat ne, jotka viattomasti elävät, ja jotka Herran laissa vaeltavat.
ALEPH. Blessed [are] the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
2 Autuaat ovat ne, jotka hänen todistuksiansa pitävät, ja kaikesta sydämestä häntä etsivät.
Blessed [are] they that keep his testimonies, [and that] seek him with the whole heart.
3 Sillä, jotka hänen teissänsä vaeltavat, ei he tee mitään pahaa.
They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
4 Sinä olet käskenyt sangen visusti pitää sinun käskys.
Thou hast commanded [us] to keep thy precepts diligently.

O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!

Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect to all thy commandments.
7 Minä kiitän sinua oikiasta sydämestä, ettäs opetat minulle vanhurskautes oikeudet.
I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
8 Sinun säätys minä pidän, älä minua ikänä hylkää.
I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.
9 Kuinka nuorukainen tiensä puhdistais? kuin hän itsensä käyttää sinun sanas jälkeen.
BETH. Wherewith shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed [to it], according to thy word.
10 Minä etsin sinua kaikesta sydämestäni: älä salli minun eksyä sinun käskyistäs.
With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Minä pidän sydämessäni sinun sanas, etten minä rikkoisi sinua vastaan.
Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Kiitetty ole, sinä Herra: opeta minulle sinun säätyjäs!
Blessed [art] thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
13 Minä luettelen huulillani kaikki sinun suus oikeudet.
With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
14 Minä iloitsen sinun todistustes tiellä, niinkuin kaikkinaisesta rikkaudesta.
I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as [much as] in all riches.
15 Minä tutkistelen sinun käskyjäs, ja katselen sinun teitäs.
I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect to thy ways.
16 Minä halajan sinun oikeuttas, ja en unohda sinun sanojas.
I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
17 Tee hyvästi palvelialles, että minä eläisin ja sinun sanas pitäisin.
GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant, [that] I may live, and keep thy word.
18 Avaa minun silmäni näkemään ihmeitä sinun laistas.
Open thou my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
19 Minä olen vieras maan päällä: älä peitä minulta käskyjäs.
I [am] a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.
20 Minun sieluni on muserrettu rikki ikävöitsemisestä, alati sinun oikeutes jälkeen.
My soul breaketh for the longing [that it hath] to thy judgments at all times.
21 Sinä rankaiset ylpiät kirotut, jotka sinun käskyistäs poikkeevat.
Thou hast rebuked the proud [that are] cursed, who do err from thy commandments.
22 Käännä minusta pois pilkka ja ylönkatse; sillä minä pidän sinun todistukses.
Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies.
23 Istuvat myös päämiehet ja puhuvat minua vastaan; mutta sinun palvelias tutkistelee sinun säätyjäs.
Princes also did sit [and] speak against me: [but] thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.
24 Sinun todistukses ovat minun iloni, ne ovat minun neuvonantajani.
Thy testimonies also [are] my delight, [and] my counselors.
25 Minun sieluni tomussa makaa: virvoita minua sanas jälkeen.
DALETH. My soul cleaveth to the dust: revive thou me according to thy word.
26 Minä luen minun teitäni, ja sinä kuulet minua: opeta minulle sinun säätys.
I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.
27 Anna minun ymmärtää sinun käskyis tie, niin minä puhun sinun ihmeistäs.
Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.
28 Niin minä suren, että sydän sulaa minussa: vahvista minua sinun sanas jälkeen.
My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according to thy word.
29 Käännä minusta pois väärä tie, ja suo minulle sinun lakis.
Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.
30 Totuuden tien minä olen valinnut, oikeutes olen minä asettanut eteeni.
I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid [before me].
31 Minä riipun sinun todistuksissas: Herra, älä salli minun häpiään tulla.
I have adhered to thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame.
32 Koskas minun sydämeni vahvistat, niin minä juoksen sinun käskyis tietä myöten.
I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.
33 Opeta minulle, Herra, sinun säätyis tie, että minä sen loppuun asti kätkisin.
HE. Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it [to] the end.
34 Anna minulle ymmärrys, kätkeäkseni sinun lakias, ja pitääkseni sitä koko sydämestäni.
Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yes, I shall observe it with [my] whole heart.
35 Anna minun käydä sinun käskyis tietä; sillä niihin minä halajan.
Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for in that do I delight.
36 Kallista minun sydämeni sinun todistuksiis, ja ei ahneuden puoleen.
Incline my heart to thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
37 Käännä minun silmäni pois katselemasta turhuutta; vaan virvoita minua sinun tiehes.
Turn away my eyes from beholding vanity; [and] revive thou me in thy way.
38 Anna palvelias lujasti sinun käskys pitää, että minä sinua pelkäisin.
Establish thy word to thy servant, who [is devoted] to thy fear.
39 Käännä minusta pois se pilkka, jota minä pelkään; sillä sinun oikeutes ovat suloiset.
Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments [are] good.
40 Katso, minä pyydän sinun käskyjäs: virvoita minua vanhurskaudellas.
Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: revive me in thy righteousness.
41 Herra, anna armos minulle tapahtua, autuutes sinun sanas jälkeen,
VAU. Let thy mercies come also to me, O LORD, [even] thy salvation, according to thy word.
42 Että minä voisin vastata minun pilkkaajiani; sillä minä luotan sinun sanaas.
So shall I have with which to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.
43 Älä ota totuuden sanaa peräti pois minun suustani; sillä minä toivon sinun oikeuttas.
And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.
44 Minä pidän alati sinun lakis, aina ja ijankaikkisesti,
So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.
45 Ja vaellan ilossa, sillä minä etsin sinun käskyjäs,
And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.
46 Ja puhun sinun todistuksistas kuningasten edessä, ja en häpee,
I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.
47 Ja iloitsen sinun käskyistäs, joita minä rakastan,
And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.
48 Ja nostan käsiäni sinun käskyihis, joita minä rakastan, ja puhun sinun säädyistäs.
My hands also will I lift to thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.
49 Muista sanaas sinun palvelialles, jota sinä annoit minun toivoa.
ZAIN. Remember the word to thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.
50 Tämä on minun turvani minun vaivassani, että sinun sanas virvoittaa minun.
This [is] my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath revived me.
51 Ylpiät irvistelevät minua sangen; en minä sentähden sinun laistas poikkee.
The proud have had me greatly in derision: [yet] I have not declined from thy law.
52 Herra, kuin minä ajattelen, kuinka sinä maailman alusta toiminut olet, niin minä lohdutetaan.
I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself.
53 Minä hämmästyin jumalattomain tähden, jotka sinun lakis hylkäävät.
Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.
54 Sinun oikeutes ovat minun veisuni vaellukseni huoneessa.
Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.
55 Herra, minä ajattelen yöllä sinun nimeäs, ja pidän sinun lakis.
I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law.
56 Se olis minun tavarani, että minä sinun käskys pitäisin.
This I had, because I kept thy precepts.
57 Minä olen sanonut: Herra, se on minun perimiseni, että minä pidän sinun sanas.
CHETH. [Thou art] my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words.
58 Minä rukoilen sinun kasvois edessä täydestä sydämestä: ole minulle armollinen sinun sanas jälkeen.
I entreated thy favor with [my] whole heart: be merciful to me according to thy word.
59 Minä tutkin teitäni, ja käännän jalkani sinun todistustes puoleen.
I thought on my ways, and turned my feet to thy testimonies.
60 Minä riennän, ja en viivy, sinun käskyjäs pitämään.
I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.
61 Jumalattomain joukko raatelee minua; mutta en minä unohda sinun lakias.
The bands of the wicked have robbed me: [but] I have not forgotten thy law.
62 Puoliyöstä minä nousen sinua kiittämään, sinun vanhurskautes oikeuden tähden.
At midnight I will rise to give thanks to thee, because of thy righteous judgments.
63 Minä olen heidän kumppaninsa, jotka sinua pelkäävät ja sinun käskyjäs pitävät,
I [am] a companion of all [them] that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.
64 Herra! maa on täynnä sinun hyvyyttäs: opeta minulle sinun säätyjäs.
The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes.
65 Hyvästi teit sinun palveliaas kohtaan, Herra, sinun sanas jälkeen.
TETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according to thy word.
66 Opeta minulle hyviä tapoja ja taitoa; sillä minä uskon sinun käskys.
Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
67 Ennenkuin minä nöyryytettiin, eksyin minä; mutta nyt minä pidän sinun sanas.
Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.
68 Sinä olet hyvä ja teet hyvin: opeta minulle sinun säätyjäs.
Thou [art] good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.
69 Ylpiät ajattelevat valheen minun päälleni; mutta minä pidän täydestä sydämestä sinun käskys.
The proud have forged a lie against me: [but] I will keep thy precepts with [my] whole heart.
70 Heidän sydämensä on lihava niinkuin rasva; mutta minä iloitsen sinun laistas.
Their heart is as gross as fat; [but] I delight in thy law.
71 Se on minulle hyvä, ettäs minun nöyryytit, että minä sinun säätyjäs oppisin.
[It is] good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
72 Sinun suus laki on minulle otollisempi kuin monta tuhatta kappaletta kultaa ja hopiaa.
The law of thy mouth [is] better to me than thousands of gold and silver.
73 Sinun kätes ovat minun tehneet ja valmistaneet: anna minulle ymmärrystä oppiakseni sinun käskyjäs.
JOD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
74 Jotka sinua pelkäävät, ne minun näkevät ja iloitsevat; sillä minä toivon sinun sanaas.
They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word.
75 Herra! minä tiedän sinun tuomios vanhurskaaksi, ja sinä olet minua totuudessa nöyryyttänyt.
I know, O LORD, that thy judgments [are] right, and [that] thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.
76 Olkoon siis sinun armos minun lohdutukseni, niinkuin sinä palvelialles luvannut olet.
Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word to thy servant.
77 Anna minulle sinun laupiutes tapahtua, että minä eläisin; sillä sinun lakis on minun iloni.
Let thy tender mercies come to me, that I may live: for thy law [is] my delight.
78 Jospa ylpiät häpiään tulisivat, jotka minua painavat alas valheellansa; mutta minä ajattelen sinun käskyjäs.
Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: [but] I will meditate in thy precepts.

Let those that fear thee turn to me, and those that have known thy testimonies.
80 Olkoon minun sydämeni toimellinen sinun säädyissäs, etten minä häväistäisi.
Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I may not be ashamed.
81 Minun sieluni ikävöitsee sinun autuuttas: minä toivon sinun sanas päälle.
CAPH. My soul fainteth for thy salvation: [but] I hope in thy word.
82 Minun silmäni hiveltyvät sinun sanas jälkeen, ja sanovat: koskas minua lohdutat?
My eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
83 Sillä minä olen niinkuin nahka savussa: en minä unohda sinun säätyjäs.
For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; [yet] I do not forget thy statutes.
84 Kuinka kauvan sinun palvelias odottaa? koskas tuomitset minun vainoojani?
How many [are] the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?
85 Ylpiät minulle kuoppia kaivavat, jotka ei ole sinun lakis perään.
The proud have digged pits for me, which [are] not according to thy law.
86 Kaikki sinun käskys ovat sula totuus: he valheella minua vaivaavat: auta minua.
All thy commandments [are] faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.
87 He olisivat juuri lähes minun maan päällä hukuttaneet; mutta en minä sinun käskyjäs hyljännyt.
They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts.
88 Virvoita minua sinun armoillas, että minä pitäisin sinun suus todistuksen.
Revive me after thy loving-kindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth.
89 Herra! sinun sanas pysyy ijankaikkisesti taivaissa.
LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
90 Sinun totuutes pysyy suvusta sukuun: sinä perustit maan, ja se pysyy.
Thy faithfulness [is] to all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.
91 Ne pysyvät tähän päivään asti sinun asetukses jälkeen; sillä kaikki sinua palvelevat.
They continue this day according to thy ordinances: for all [are] thy servants.
92 Ellei sinun lakis olisi ollut minun lohdutukseni, niin minä olisin raadollisuudessani hukkunut.
Unless thy law [had been] my delights, I should then have perished in my affliction.
93 En minä ikänä unohda sinun käskyjäs; sillä niillä sinä minua lohdutat.
I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast revived me.
94 Sinun minä olen: auta minua! sillä minä etsin sinun käskyjäs.
I [am] thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.

The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: [but] I will consider thy testimonies.
96 Kaikista kappaleista minä olen lopun nähnyt; mutta sinun käskys ovat määrättömät.
I have seen an end of all perfection: [but] thy commandment [is] exceeding broad.
97 Kuinka minä rakastan sinun lakias? Joka päivä minä sitä ajattelen.
MEM. O how I love thy law! it [is] my meditation all the day.
98 Sinä teit minun taitavammaksi käskyilläs kuin minun viholliseni ovat; sillä se on minun ijankaikkinen tavarani.
Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than my enemies: for they [are] ever with me.

I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies [are] my (meditation)
100 Enemmän minä ymmärrän kuin vanhemmat; sillä minä pidän sinun käskys.
I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.
101 Minä estän jalkani kaikista pahoista teistä, että minä sinun sanas pitäisin.
I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.
102 En minä poikkee sinun oikeudestas; sillä sinä opetat minua.
I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.
103 Sinun sanas ovat minun suulleni makiammat kuin hunaja.
How sweet are thy words to my taste! [yes, sweeter] than honey to my mouth!
104 Sinun käskys tekevät minun ymmärtäväiseksi; sentähden minä vihaan kaikkia vääriä teitä.
Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
105 Sinun sanas on minun jalkaini kynttilä, ja valkeus teilläni.
NUN. Thy word [is] a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.
106 Minä vannon, ja sen vahvana pidän, että minä sinun vanhurskautes oikeudet pitää tahdon.
I have sworn, and I will perform [it], that I will keep thy righteous judgments.

I am afflicted very much: revive me, O LORD, according to thy word.

Accept, I beseech thee, the free-will-offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me thy judgments.
109 Minun sieluni on alati minun käsissäni, ja en unohda sinun lakias.
My soul [is] continually in my hand: yet I do not forget thy law.
110 Jumalattomat virittävät minulle paulan; mutta en minä eksy sinun käskyistäs.
The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts.
111 Sinun todistukses ovat minun ijankaikkiset perimiseni; sillä ne ovat minun sydämeni ilo.
Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they [are] the rejoicing of my heart.
112 Minä kallistan minun sydämeni tekemään sinun säätys jälkeen, aina ja ijankaikkisesti.
I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes always, [even to] the end.
113 Minä vihaan viekkaita henkiä, ja rakastan sinun lakias.
SAMECH. I hate [vain] thoughts: but thy law do I love.
114 Sinä olet minun varjelukseni ja kilpeni: minä toivon sinun sanas päälle.
Thou [art] my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
115 Poiketkaat minusta, te pahanilkiset; ja minä pidän minun Jumalani käskyt.
Depart from me, ye evil-doers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.
116 Tue minua sanallas, että minä eläisin, ja älä anna minun toivoni häpiään tulla.
Uphold me according to thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.
117 Vahvista minua, että minä autetuksi tulisin, niin minä halajan alati sinun säätyjäs.
Support me, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect to thy statutes continually.

Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit is falsehood.

Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth [like] dross: therefore I love thy testimonies.

My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments.
121 Minä teen oikeuden ja vanhurskauden: älä minua hylkää niille, jotka minulle väkivaltaa tekevät.
AIN. I have done judgment and justice; leave me not to my oppressors.
122 Vastaa palvelias edestä, ja lohduta häntä, ettei ylpiät tekisi minulle väkivaltaa.
Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.
123 Minun silmäni hiveltyvät sinun autuutes perään, ja sinun vanhurskautes sanan jälkeen.
My eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.
124 Tee palvelias kanssa sinun armos jälkeen, ja opeta minulle sinun säätyjäs.
Deal with thy servant according to thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.
125 Sinun palvelias minä olen: anna minulle ymmärrystä, että minä tuntisin sinun todistukses.
I [am] thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.
126 Jopa aika on, että Herra siihen jotakin tekis: he ovat sinun lakis särkeneet.
[It is] time for [thee], LORD, to work: [for] they have made void thy law.
127 Sentähden minä rakastan sinun käskyjäs, enempi kuin kultaa ja parasta kultaa.
Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yes, above fine gold.
128 Sentähden minä pidän visusti kaikkia sinun käskyjäs: minä vihaan kaikkia vääriä teitä.
Therefore I esteem all [thy] precepts [concerning] all [things to be] right; [and] I hate every false way.
129 Ihmeelliset ovat sinun todistukses; sentähden minun sieluni ne pitää.
PE. Thy testimonies [are] wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.
130 Kuin sinun sanas julistetaan, niin se valistaa ja antaa yksinkertaisille ymmärryksen.
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding to the simple.
131 Minä avaan suuni ja huokaan; sillä minä halajan sinun käskys.
I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments.
132 Käännä sinuas minun puoleeni, ja ole minulle armollinen, niinkuin sinä olet niille tottunut tekemään, jotka sinun nimeäs rakastavat.
Look thou upon me, and be merciful to me, as thou usest to do to those that love thy name.
133 Vahvista minun käymiseni sinun sanassas, ja älä anna väkivallan minua vallita.
Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
134 Lunasta minua ihmisten väkivallasta, niin minä pidän sinun käskys.
Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts.

Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: and teach me thy statutes.

Rivers of waters run down my eyes, because they keep not thy law.
137 Herra! sinä olet vanhurskas ja sinun tuomios ovat oikiat.
TSADDI. Righteous [art] thou, O LORD, and upright [are] thy judgments.
138 Sinä olet vanhurskautes todistukset ja totuuden visusti käskenyt.
Thy testimonies [that] thou hast commanded [are] righteous and very faithful.
139 Minä olen lähes surmakseni kiivannut, että minun viholliseni ovat sinun sanas unohtaneet.
My zeal hath consumed me; because my enemies have forgotten thy words.
140 Sinun puhees on sangen koeteltu, ja sinun palvelias sen rakkaana pitää.
Thy word [is] very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.
141 Minä olen halpa ja ylönkatsottu, mutta en minä unohda sinun käskyjäs.
I [am] small and despised: [yet] I do not forget thy precepts.
142 Sinun vanhurskautes on ijankaikkinen vanhurskaus, ja sinun lakis on totuus.
Thy righteousness [is] an everlasting righteousness, and thy law [is] the truth.
143 Ahdistus ja tuska ovat minun saavuttaneet; mutta minä iloitsen sinun käskyistäs.
Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: [yet] thy commandments [are] my delights.
144 Sinun todistustes vanhurskaus pysyy ijankaikkisesti: anna minulle ymmärrys, niin minä elän.
The righteousness of thy testimonies [is] everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.
145 Minä huudan kaikesta sydämestäni: kuule, Herra, minua, että minä sinun säätys pitäisin.
KOPH. I cried with [my] whole heart; hear me, O LORD: I will keep thy statutes.

I cried to thee; save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies.
147 Varhain minä ennätän, ja huudan: sinun sanas päälle minä toivon.
I came before the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word.
148 Varhain minä herään, tutkistelemaan sinun sanojas.
My eyes anticipated the [night] watches, that I might meditate in thy word.
149 Kuule minun ääneni sinun armos jälkeen: Herra, virvoita minua sinun oikeutes jälkeen.
Hear my voice, according to thy loving-kindness: O LORD, revive me according to thy judgment.
150 Pahanilkiset vainoojat karkaavat minun päälleni, ja ovat kaukana sinun laistas.
They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law.
151 Herra, sinä olet läsnä, ja sinun käskys ovat sula totuus.
Thou [art] near, O LORD; and all thy commandments [are] truth.
152 Mutta minä sen aikaa tiesin, että sinä olet todistukses ijankaikkisesti perustanut.
Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.
153 Katso minun raadollisuuttani, ja pelasta minua; sillä enpä minä unohda sinun lakias.
RESH. Consider my affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law.
154 Toimita minun asiani ja päästä minua: virvoita minua sinun sanas kautta.
Plead my cause, and deliver me: revive me according to thy word.
155 Autuus on kaukana jumalattomista, sillä ei he tottele säätyjäs.
Salvation [is] far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.
156 Herra, sinun laupiutes on suuri: virvoita minua sinun oikeutes jälkeen.
Great [are] thy tender mercies, O LORD: revive me according to thy judgments.
157 Minun vainoojaani ja vihollistani on monta; mutta en minä poikkee sinun todistuksistas.
Many [are] my persecutors and my enemies; [yet] I do not decline from thy testimonies.
158 Minä näen ylönkatsojat, ja siihen suutun, ettei he sinun sanaas pidä.
I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word.
159 Katso, minä rakastan sinun käskyjäs: Herra, virvoita minua sinun armos jälkeen.
Consider how I love thy precepts: revive me, O LORD, according to thy loving-kindness.
160 Sinun sanas on alusta totuus ollut: kaikki sinun vanhurskautes oikeudet pysyvät ijankaikkisesti.
Thy word [is] true [from] the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments [endureth] for ever.
161 Päämiehet vainoovat minua ilman syytä; mutta minun sydämeni pelkää sinun sanojas.
SCHIN. Princes have persecuted me without a cause; but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.
162 Minä iloitsen sinun puheestas, niinkuin se joka suuren saaliin löytänyt on.
I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.
163 Valhetta minä vihaan ja kauhistun; mutta sinun lakias minä rakastan.
I hate and abhor lying: [but] thy law do I love.
164 Seitsemästi päivässä minä kiitän sinua sinun vanhurskautes oikeuden tähden.
Seven times a day do I praise thee, because of thy righteous judgments.
165 Suuri rauha on niillä, jotka sinun lakias rakastavat, ja ei he itsiänsä loukkaa.
Great peace have they who love thy law: and nothing shall cause them to stumble.
166 Herra! minä odotan sinun autuuttas, ja teen sinun käskys.
LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, and performed thy commandments.
167 Minun sieluni pitää sinun todistukses, ja minä rakastan niitä sangen suuresti.
My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.
168 Minä pidän sinun käskys ja todistukses; sillä kaikki minun tieni ovat edessäs.
I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways [are] before thee.
169 Herra! anna minun huutoni tulla sinun etees: anna minulle ymmärrystä sinun sanas jälkeen.
TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.
170 Anna minun rukoukseni tulla sinun etees: pelasta minua sinun sanas jälkeen.
Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.
171 Minun huuleni kiittävät, koskas minulle opetat sinun säätys.
My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.
172 Minun kieleni puhuu sinun sanastas; sillä kaikki sinun käskys ovat vanhurskaat.
My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments [are] righteousness.
173 Olkoon sinun kätes minulle avullinen; sillä minä olen valinnut sinun käskys.
Let thy hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.
174 Herra, minä ikävöitsen sinun autuuttas, ja halajan sinun lakias.
I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law [is] my delight.
175 Anna minun sieluni elää, että hän sinua kiittäis, ja sinun oikeutes auttakoon minua!
Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.
176 Minä olen eksyvä niinkuin kadotettu lammas, etsi sinun palveliaas; sillä en minä unohda sinun käskyjäs.
I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.
