Psalmien 103
1 Davidin Psalmi. Kiitä Herraa, sieluni, ja kaikki mitä minussa on, hänen pyhää nimeänsä!
A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name.
2 Kiitä Herraa, sieluni, ja älä unohda, mitä hyvää hän minulle tehnyt on,
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits;
3 Joka sinulle kaikki syntis antaa anteeksi, ja parantaa kaikki rikokses;
Who forgiveth all thine iniquity; who healeth all Thy diseases;
4 Joka henkes päästää turmeluksesta, joka sinun kruunaa armolla ja laupiudella;
Who redeemeth Thy life from the pit; who encompasseth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 Joka suus täyttää hyvyydellä, että sinun nuoruutes uudistetaan niinkuin kotkan.
Who satisfieth thine old age with good things; so that Thy youth is renewed like the eagle.
6 Herra saattaa vanhurskauden ja tuomion kaikille, jotka vääryyttä kärsivät.
The LORD executeth righteousness, and acts of justice for all that are oppressed.
7 Hän on tiensä Mosekselle tiettäväksi tehnyt, Israelin lapsille tekonsa.
He made known His ways unto Moses, His doings unto the children of Israel.
8 Laupias ja armollinen on Herra, kärsiväinen ja aivan hyvä.
The LORD is full of compassion and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
9 Ei hän aina riitele, eikä vihastu ijankaikkisesti.
He will not always contend; neither will He keep His anger for ever.
10 Ei hän synteimme perästä tee meille, eikä kosta meille pahain tekoimme jälkeen.
He hath not dealt with us after our sins, nor requited us according to our iniquities.
11 Sillä niin korkia kuin taivas on maasta, antaa hän armonsa lisääntyä niille, jotka häntä pelkäävät.
For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him.
12 Niin kaukana kuin itä on lännestä, siirsi hän meistä pahat tekomme.
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.
13 Niinkuin isä armahtaa lapsia, niin Herrakin armahtaa pelkääväisiänsä;
Like as a father hath compassion upon his children, so hath the LORD compassion upon them that fear Him.
14 Sillä hän tietää, minkäkaltainen teko me olemme: hän muistaa meidät tomuksi.
For He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust.
15 Ihminen on eläissänsä niinkuin ruoho: hän kukoistaa niinkuin kukkanen kedolla:
As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
16 Kuin tuuli käy sen päällitse, niin ei hän enään kestä, eikä hänen siansa tunne häntä ensinkään.
For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof knoweth it no more.
17 Mutta Herran armo pysyy ijankaikkisesta ijankaikkiseen, hänen pelkääväistensä päälle, ja hänen vanhurskautensa lasten lapsiin,
But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children's children;
18 Niille, jotka hänen liittonsa pitävät, ja muistavat hänen käskyjänsä, tehdäksensä niitä.
To such as keep His covenant, and to those that remember His precepts to do them.
19 Herra on valmistanut istuimensa taivaassa, ja hänen valtakuntansa hallitsee kaikkia.
The LORD hath established His throne in the heavens; and His kingdom ruleth over all.
20 Kiittäkäät Herraa, te hänen enkelinsä, te väkevät sankarit, jotka hänen käskynsä toimitatte, että hänen sanansa ääni kuultaisiin.
Bless the LORD, ye angels of His, ye mighty in strength, that fulfil His word, hearkening unto the voice of His word.
21 Kiittäkäät Herraa, kaikki hänen sotaväkensä, te hänen palveliansa, jotka teette hänen tahtonsa.
Bless the LORD, all ye His hosts; ye ministers of His, that do His pleasure.
22 Kiittäkäät Herraa, kaikki hänen työnsä, kaikissa hänen valtansa paikoissa: kiitä, sieluni, Herraa.
Bless the LORD, all ye His works, in all places of His dominion; bless the LORD, O my soul.
