Nehemian 12

And these are the priests and the Levites that went up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,
2 Amaria, Malluk, Hattus,
Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,
3 Sekania, Rehum, Meremot,
Shechaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,
4 Iddo, Ginetoi, Abia,
Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abijah,
5 Mijamin, Maadia, Bilga,
Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,
6 Semaja, Jojarib, Jedaja,
Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah,
7 Sallu, Amok, Hilkia ja Jedaja: nämät olivat pappein ja heidän veljeinsä päämiehet Jesuan aikana.
Sallu, Amok, Hilkijah, Jedaiah. These were the chief of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Jeshua.
8 Ja Leviläiset: Jesua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Serebia, Juuda ja Mattania kiitosvirtten päällä, hän ja hänen veljensä;
And the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, Mattaniah, [who was] over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren;
9 Bakbukia ja Unni veljinensä olivat vartiana heidän tykönänsä.
and Bakbukiah and Unni, their brethren, were over against them as watches.
10 Jesua siitti Jojakimin, Jojakim siitti Eljasibin, Eljasib siitti Jojadan,
And Jeshua begot Joiakim, and Joiakim begot Eliashib, and Eliashib begot Joiada,
11 Jojada siitti Jonatanin, Jonatan siitti Jadduan.
and Joiada begot Jonathan, and Jonathan begot Jaddua.
12 Ja Jojakimin aikana olivat nämät ylimmäiset isät pappein seassa: Serajasta Meraja, Jeremiasta Hanania,
And in the days of Joiakim were priests, chief fathers: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;
13 Esrasta oli Mesullam, Amariasta Johanan,
of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;
14 Mallukista Jonatan, Sebaniasta Joseph,
of Melicu, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;
15 Harimista Adna, Merajotista Helkai,
of Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai;
16 Iddosta Sakaria, Ginthonista Mesullam,
of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;
17 Abiasta Sikri, Minjaminista ja Moadiasta Piltai,
of Abijah, Zichri; of Miniamin [and] Moadiah, Piltai;
18 Bilgasta Sammua, Semajasta Jonatan,
of Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;
19 Jojaribista Matnai, Jedajasta Ussi,
and of Joiarib, Mattenai; of Jedaiah, Uzzi;
20 Sallaista Kallai, Amakista Eber,
of Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;
21 Hilkiasta Hasabia, Jedajasta Natanael.
of Hilkijah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethaneel.
22 Leviläiset Eljasibin, Jojadan, Johanan ja Jadduan aikana, kirjoitetut isäin päämiehet; niin myös papit, Dariuksen Persialaisen valtakuntaan asti.
of the Levites, the chief fathers were recorded in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, and the priests, until the reign of Darius the Persian.
23 Levin lapset, ylimmäiset isät, ovat kirjoitetut Aikakirjaan, Johananin Eljasibin pojan aikaan asti.
The children of Levi, the chief fathers, were recorded in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.
24 Ja Leviläisten päämiehet: Hasabia, Serebia ja Jesua Kadmielin poika, ja heidän veljensä heidän vieressänsä, ylistämässä ja kiittämässä, niinkuin David Jumalan mies oli käskenyt, yksi vartia toisen kohdalla.
And the chief Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise [and] to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.
25 Mattania, Bakbukia, Obadia, Mesullam, Talmon ja Akkub olivat ovenvartiat, tavaraporttein vartioitsemisessa.
Mattaniah and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were doorkeepers keeping the ward at the storehouses of the gates.
26 Nämät olivat Jojakimin Jesuan pojan Jotsadakin pojan aikana, ja Nehemian maanvanhimman, ja Esran papin, kirjanoppineen, aikana.
These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.
27 Ja Jerusalemin muurin vihkimiselle etsivät he Leviläisiä kaikista heidän paikoistansa, tuodaksensa heitä Jerusalemiin pitämään vihkimistä ilolla, kiitoksella, virsillä, symbaleilla, psalmeilla ja harpuilla.
And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to hold the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, [with] cymbals, lutes and harps.
28 Ja veisaajain lapset tulivat kokoon Jerusalemin ympäristöltä ja Netophatin kylistä,
And the children of the singers were assembled, both from the plain [of Jordan] round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of the Netophathites,
29 Ja Gilgalin huoneesta, ja Gibean ja Asmavetin pelloilta; sillä veisaajat olivat rakentaneet itsellensä taloja Jerusalemin ympärillä.
also from Beth-Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth; for the singers had built themselves hamlets round about Jerusalem.
30 Ja papit ja Leviläiset puhdistivat itsensä: he puhdistivat myös kansan ja portit ja muurit.
And the priests and the Levites purified themselves; and they purified the people, and the gates and the wall.
31 Ja minä annoin Juudan päämiehet mennä ylös muurille, ja asetin kaksi suurta laulukuntaa ja juhlasaattoa muurin päälle: (yhden) oikialle puolelle Sontaporttia.
And I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great choirs and processions, on the right hand upon the wall towards the dung-gate.
32 Ja Hosaja ja toinen puoli Juudan päämiehistä kävivät heidän perässänsä,
And after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah,
33 Ja Asaria, Esra, Mesullam,
and Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,
34 Juuda, Benjamin, Semaja ja Jeremia,
Judah and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah,
35 Ja muutamat pappein lapsista vaskitorvein kanssa: Sakaria Jonatanin poika, Semajan pojan, Mattanian pojan, Mikajan pojan, Sakkurin pojan, Asaphin pojan;
and [certain] of the priests' sons with trumpets: Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph;
36 Ja hänen veljensä Semaja, Asareel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Netaneel, Juuda, Hanani, Davidin Jumalan miehen kanteleiden kanssa, ja Esra kirjanoppinut heidän edellänsä.
and his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azareel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God; and Ezra the scribe before them.
37 Ja Lähdeporttia päin menivät he ylös heidän kohdallansa astuimia myöten Davidin kaupunkiin, (ja siitä) astuimilla muurein päälle, Davidin huoneesta Vesiporttiin asti itään päin.
And at the fountain-gate, and over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the ascent of the wall, above the house of David, even to the water-gate eastward.
38 Ja toinen laulukunta kävi vastaan, ja minä sen perässä, ja toinen puoli kansaa muurin päällä, Pätsitornista leviään muuriin saakka,
And the second choir went in the opposite direction upon the wall, and I after them, and the half of the people, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even to the broad wall;
39 Ja Ephraimin portista, Vanhan portin ja Kalaportin ja Hananeelin tornin ja Mean tornin ohitse Lammasporttiin asti; ja seisahtivat Vankiportissa.
and from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the gate of the old [wall], and above the fish-gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even to the sheep-gate; and they stood still in the prison-gate.
40 Ja ne kaksi kiitoskuoria seisoivat Jumalan huoneessa, ja minä ja toinen puoli ylimmäisiä minun kanssani,
And both choirs stood in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me;
41 Ja papit Eliakim, Maeseja, Minjamin, Mikaja, Eljoenai, Sakaria, Hanania olivat vaskitorvein kanssa,
and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, Hananiah, with trumpets;
42 Ja Maeseja, Semaja, Eleatsar, Ussi, Johanan, Malkia, Elam ja Asar. Ja veisaajat veisasivat korkiasti, ja Jisrahia oli esimiehenä.
and Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud; and Jizrahiah was their overseer.
43 Ja he uhrasivat sinä päivänä suuret uhrit, ja olivat iloiset; sillä Jumala oli heitä iloittanut suurella ilolla, että myös vaimot ja lapsetkin iloitsivat, ja Jerusalemin ilo kuului kauvas.
And that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy; and also the women and the children rejoiced. And the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.
44 Siihen aikaan asetettiin miehet tavarakammioin päälle, joissa ylennykset, ensimäiset hedelmät ja kymmenykset olivat, joita heidän piti kokooman kaupunkein pelloista, papeille ja Leviläisille jaettaa lain jälkeen; sillä Juudalaisilla oli ilo papeista ja Leviläisistä, jotka seisoivat.
And at that time men were appointed over the chambers of the treasures for the heave-offerings, for the first-fruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them, out of the fields of the cities, the portions assigned by the law for the priests and the Levites; for Judah rejoiced over the priests, and over the Levites that waited.
45 Ja he pitivät vaarin Jumalan vartiosta ja puhdistuksen vartiosta, niin myös veisaajista ja ovenvartioista, Davidin ja Salomon hänen poikansa käskyn jälkeen,
And, with the singers and the doorkeepers, they kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, according to the commandment of David [and] of Solomon his son.
46 Sillä Davidin ja Asaphin aikana olivat muinen asetetut ylimmäiset veisaajat, ja kiitosvirret ja kiitokset Jumalalle.
For of old, in the days of David and Asaph, there were the chiefs of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgivings to God.
47 Mutta koko Israel antoi veisaajille ja ovenvartioille osan, Serubbabelin ja Nehemian aikana, joka päivä heidän osansa; ja pyhittivät sen Leviläisille, ja Leviläiset pyhittivät Aaronin lapsille.
And all Israel, in the days of Zerubbabel and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the doorkeepers, every day what was needed, and they consecrated things for the Levites; and the Levites consecrated for the children of Aaron.
