3 Mooseksen 10

1 Ja Aaronin pojat Nadab ja Abihu ottivat kumpikin suitsutusastiansa, ja panivat tulta niihin, ja panivat suitsutusta sen päälle: ja kantoivat vierasta tulta Herran eteen, jota ei hän heille ollut käskenyt.

And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took each his censer, and they put therein fire, and put thereon incense: and they brought near before the Lord a strange fire, which he had not commanded them.

2 Silloin läksi tuli Herralta, ja kulutti heidät; niin että he kuolivat Herran edessä.

And there went out a fire from before the Lord, and consumed them, and they died before the Lord.

3 Niin sanoi Moses Aaronille: tämä on se kuin Herra puhunut on, sanoen: Minä pyhitetään niissä, jotka minua lähestyvät, ja kaiken kansan edessä minä kunnioitetaan. Ja Aaron oli ääneti.

Then said Moses unto Aaron, This is what the Lord hath spoken, saying, On those who are near unto me will I be sanctified, and before all the people will I be glorified: and Aaron held his peace.

4 Mutta Moses kutsui Misaelin, ja Eltsaphanin, Usielin, Aaronin sedän pojat ja sanoi heille, tulkaat ja kantakaat teidän veljenne pyhän edestä: ulos leiristä.

And Moses called unto Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of 'Uzziel, the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary to without the camp.

5 Ja he tulivat ja kantoivat heidät hameinensa leiristä, niinkuin Moses oli sanonut.

And they came near, and carried them in their coats to without the camp; as Moses had spoken.

6 Niin sanoi Moses Aaronille, ja hänen pojillensa Eleatsarille ja Itamarille: ei teidän pidä paljastaman teidän päätänne, eikä myös repimän teidän vaatteitanne, ettette kuolisi, ja ettei viha tulisi kaiken kansan päälle: mutta teidän veljenne koko Israelin huoneesta itkekään tätä paloa, jonka Herra sytyttänyt on.

And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Elazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, The hair of your head you shall not let grow long, and your garments you shall not rend, that ye die not, and that he be not wroth upon the whole congregation; but your brethren, the whole house of Israel, may bewail the burning which the Lord hath kindled.

7 Vaa ei teidän pidä menemän seurakunnan majan ovesta ulos, ettette kuolisi; sillä Herran voidellusöljy on teidän päällänne. Ja he tekivät Moseksen sanan jälkeen.

And from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation shall ye not go out, lest ye die; for the anointing oil of the Lord is upon you; and they did according to the word of Moses.

8 Ja Herra puhui Aaronille, sanoen:

And the Lord spoke unto Aaron, saying,

9 Viinaa ja väkevää juomaa ei pidä sinun juoman, eikä sinun poikas sinun kanssa, koska te menette seurakunnan majaan, ettette kuolisi: se pitää oleman ijankaikkinen sääty teidän sukukunnillenne,

Wine or strong drink shalt thou not drink, neither thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations.

10 Että te eroitatte mikä pyhä ja ei pyhä, mikä saastainen ja puhdas on.

So that ye may be able to distinguish between the holy and the unholy, and between the unclean and the clean;

11 Ja että te opettaisitte Israelin lapsille kaikki oikeudet, kuin Herra heille Moseksen kautta puhunut on.

And that ye may be able to teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.

12 Ja Moses puhui Aaronille ja hänen jääneille pojillensa Eleatsarille ja Itamarille: ottakaat se, joka tähteeksi jäänyt on ruokauhrista, Herran tuliuhrista, ja syökäät se happamattomana alttarin tykönä; sillä se on kaikkein pyhin.

And Moses spoke unto Aaron, and unto Elazar and unto Ithamar his sons, that were left, Take ye the meat-offering that is left of the fire-offerings of the Lord, and eat it unleavened beside the altar; for it is most holy.

13 Ja teidän pitää sen syömän pyhällä sialla: sillä se on sinun oikeutes ja sinun poikais oikeus Herran tuliuhrista; sillä se on minulle niin käsketty.

And ye shall eat it in a holy place, because it is thy fixed portion, and the fixed portion of thy sons, from the fire-offerings of the Lord; for so have I been commanded.

14 Mutta häälytysrinnan ja ylennyslavan pitää sinun ja sinun poikas ja tyttäres sinun kanssas syömän puhtaalla paikalla; sillä tämä oikeus on sinulle ja sinun pojilles annettu Israelin lasten kiitosuhrista;

And the breast which hath been waved and the shoulder which hath been lifted up, shall ye eat in a clean place, thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee; for as thy fixed portion, and the fixed portion of thy sons, have they been given from the sacrifices of peace-offerings of the children of Israel.

15 Sillä ylennyslapa ja häälytysrinta, lihavuus tuliuhrein kanssa, pitää kannettaman sisälle häälytettää häälytykseksi Herran edessä: sentähden pitää sen oleman sinulle ja sinun lapsilles ijankaikkiseksi säädyksi, niinkuin Herra käskenyt on.

The shoulder which is waved and the breast which is lifted up, shall they bring with the fat of the fire-offering, to make therewith a waving before the Lord: and then shall it be thine, and thy sons with thee, as a fixed portion for ever; as the Lord hath commanded.

16 Ja Moses etsi ahkerasti rikosuhrin kaurista, ja katso, se oli poltettu: ja vihastui Eleatsarin ja Itamarin Aaronin jääneiden poikain päälle, sanoen:

And the goat of the sin-offering Moses sought diligently, and behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Elazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron who had been left, and said,

17 Miksi ette ole syöneet rikosuhria pyhällä paikalla? sillä se on kaikkein pyhin, ja hän on antanut teille sen, että teidän pitää kantaman kansan rikokset, ja sovittaman heitä Herran edessä.

Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin-offering in the holy place, seeing that it is most holy, and that he hath given it to you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the Lord?

18 Katso, hänen verensä ei ole tuotu pyhään: teidän olis pitänyt kaiketi syömän sen pyhässä, niinkuin minulle käsketty on.

Behold, its blood was not brought within the holy place: ye should then have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded.

19 Mutta Aaron sanoi Mosekselle: katso, tänäpänä ovat he uhranneet rikosuhrinsa ja polttouhrinsa Herran edessä. Ja minulle on senkaltainen asia tapahtunut: ja pitäiskö minun tänäpänä syömän rikosuhrista, olisko se Herralle otollinen?

And Aaron spoke unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin-offering, and their burnt-offering before the Lord; and things as these have befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin-offering today, would it have been pleasing in the eyes of the Lord?

20 Kun Moses sen kuuli, tyytyi hän siihen

And when Moses heard this, it was pleasing in his eyes.
