1 Ja minä näin, ja katso, taivaassa oli Kerubimin päällä niinkuin saphir, ja niiden päällä niinkuin istuin.
Then I looked, and lo, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubs there appeared over them as it were a sapphire-stone, in form like a throne;
2 Ja hän sanoi sille miehelle, joka oli liinavaatteeissa: mene sisälle ratasten välille Kerubimin aalle, ja ota kätes täyteen tulisia hiiliä, jotka Kerubimin välillä ovat, ja hajoita ne kaupungin päälle; ja hän meni sisälle minun silmäini edessä.
and He spake to the man that was clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels under the cherub, and fill thy hands with coals of fire, which are between the cherubs, and scatter them over the city. And he went in before my eyes.
3 Mutta Kerubimit seisoivat oikialla puolella huoneessa, kuin mies sisälle meni, ja sumu täytti sisällisen kartanon.
Now the cherubs stood upon the right side of the house when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.
4 Ja Herran kunnia nousi Kerubimin päältä huoneen kynnykseen asti, ja huone täytettiin sumulla ja kartano Herran kunnian kirkkaudella.
And the glory of Jehovah was lifted up from the cherub to the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was filled with the brightness of the glory of Jehovah.
5 Ja Kerubimin siipein humaus kuului hamaan ulkonaiseen kartanoon asti, niinkuin kaikkivaltiaan Jumalan ääni kuin hän puhuu.
And the sound of the wings of the cherubs was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of God, the Almighty, when he speaketh.
6 Ja kuin hän oli käskenyt miestä, joka oli liinavaatteissa, ja sanonut: ota tulta ratasten keskeltä Kerubimin alta; niin hän meni sinne sisälle, ja astui rattaan tykö.
And when he commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubs, he went in and stood beside the wheels.
7 Ja Kerubim ojensi kätensä keskellä Kerubimeja, tuleen päin, joka oli Kerubimin välillä, otti siitä ja antoi sen miehen käsiin, joka oli liinavaatteissa; ja hän otti sen ja meni ulos.
And one cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubs to the fire that was between the cherubs, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen, who took it, and went out.
8 Ja näkyi Kerubimeissa, niikuin ihmisen käsi heidän siipeinsä alla.
And there was seen in the cherubs the form of a man's hand under their wings.
9 Ja minä näin, ja katso, neljät rattaat seisoivat Kerubimein tykönä, jokaisen Kerubimin tykönä yhdet rattaat, ja rattaat olivat näköänsä niinkuin turkos.
And when I looked, behold, four wheels were by the cherubs, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub; and the appearance of the wheels was like that of a chrysolite.
10 Ja olivat kaikki ne neljä yksi niinkuin toinenkin, niinkuin yhdet rattaat olisivat olleet toisten sisällä.
And as to their appearance, all four had one form, as if a wheel were in the midst of a wheel.
11 Kuin yksi heistä meni, niin menivät kaikki neljä, ja ei erinneet toinen toisestansa kulkeissansa; mutta kuhunka ensimmäinen meni, sinne menivät ne jälissä, ja ei erinneet toinen toisestansa.
When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not about when they went; but to the place whither the head looked they followed it, they turned not about when they went.
12 Ja heidän koko ruumiinsa, selkänsä, kätensä ja siipensä, niin myös rattaat olivat täynnä silmiä kaikki ympärinsä, ne neljät rattaat.
And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels which they four had.
13 Ja rattaille sanottiin: pyörikäät, niin että minä sen kuulin.
And as to these wheels, each one of them in my hearing was called Whirlwind.
14 Niin oli myös jokaisella eläimellä neljät kasvot: yhdet kasvot olivat ihmisen kasvot, toiset kasvot olivat ihmisen kasvot, kolmannet jalopeuran kasvot, ja neljännet kotkan kasvot.
And every one had four faces. The first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
15 Ja Kerubimit korotettiin. Tämä on se eläin, jonka minä näin Kebarin virran tykönä.
And the cherubs were lifted up. They were the living creatures which I saw by the river Chebar.
16 Kuin Kerubimit kävivät, niin kulkivat myös rattaat heitä myöten; ja kuin Kerubimit nostivat siipiänsä, maasta nousemaan, niin ei myös rattaat heistä erinneet.
And when the cherubs went, the wheels went with them; and when the cherubs lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the wheels turned not away from their side.
17 Kuin he seisoivat, niin seisoivat nämät myös, kuin he nousivat, niin nousivat myös nämät; sillä elävä henki oli heissä.
When they stood, these stood; and when they were lifted up, these were liked up with them. For the spirit of the living creatures was in them.
18 Ja Herran kunnia meni taas huoneen kynnykseltä, ja istui Kerubimein päälle.
Then the glory of Jehovah departed from the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubs.
19 Niin ylentelivät Kerubimit siipiänsä, ja nousivat maasta ylös, minun silmäini edessä; ja kuin he menivät ulos, menivät rattaat heitä myöten; ja he astuivat idän puoleiselle ovelle Herran huonetta, ja Israelin kunnia oli heidän päällänsä.
And the cherubs lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight, as they went out, and the wheels were beside them. And they stood at the entrance of the east gate of the house of Jehovah, and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
20 Tämä on se eläin, jonka minä näin Israelin Jumalan alla Kebarin virran tykönä; ja minä tunsin ne olevan Kerubimit.
They were the living creatures which I saw under the God of Israel by the river Chebar; and I knew that they were the cherubs.
21 Jokaisella olivat neljät kasvot ja neljä siipeä, ja siipein alla niinkuin ihmisen kädet.
Every one had four faces, and every one four wings, and the form of a man's hand was under their wings.
22 Heidän kasvonsa olivat niinkuin minä ne näin Kebarin virran tykönä; ja ne kukin kävivät kohdastansa eteensä päin.
And as for the form of their faces, they were the faces which I saw by the river Chebar, their appearances and themselves. They went every one straight forward.
