5 Mooseksen 12
1 Nämät ovat säädyt ja oikeudet, joita teidän pitämään pitää, että te niiden jälkeen tekisitte, sillä maalla, jonka Herra sinun isäis Jumala antoi sinulle omistaakses; niinkauvan kuin te maan päällä elätte.
These are the ordinances and the lawes, which ye shall obserue and doe in the lande (which the Lord God of thy fathers giueth thee to possesse it) as long as yee liue vpon the earth.
2 Teidän pitää peräti hävittämän kaikki ne paikat, joissa pakanat, jotka te omistatte, jumaliansa palvelleet ovat; joko se olis korkeilla vuorilla, taikka mäillä, eli kaikkein viheriäisten puiden alla.
Yee shall vtterly destroy all the places wherein the nations which ye shall possesse, serued their gods vpon the hie mountaines and vpon the hilles, and vnder euery greene tree.
3 Ja kukistakaat heiden alttarinsa, ja särkekäät heidän patsaansa, heidän metsistönsä tulella polttakaat, ja heidän epäjumalansa kuvat rikki hakatkaat; ja hukuttakaat heidän nimensä siitä paikasta.
Also ye shall ouerthrowe their altars, and breake downe their pillars, and burne their groues with fire: and ye shall hew downe ye grauen images of their gods, and abolish their names out of that place.
4 Ei teidän pidä niin tekemän Herralle teidän Jumalallenne:
Ye shall not do so vnto ye Lord your God,
5 Vaan siinä paikassa, minkä Herra teidän Jumalanne valitsee kaikista teidän sukukunnistanne, asettaaksensa siihen nimensä: siinä missä hän asuu, pitää teidän etsimän häntä ja sinne pitää sinun tuleman.
But ye shall seeke the place which the Lord your God shall chose out of all your tribes, to put his Name there, and there to dwell, and thither thou shalt come,
6 Ja siellä pitää teidän uhraaman polttouhrinne, ja muut uhrinne, ja kymmenyksenne, ja kättenne ylennysuhrin; ja lupauksenne, ja vapaaehtoiset uhrinne, niin myös esikoiset karjastanne ja lampaistanne.
And ye shall bring thither your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the offring of your hands, and your vowes, and your free offrings, and the first borne of your kine and of your sheepe.
7 Ja siellä teidän pitää syömän Herran teidän Jumalanne edessä, ja iloitseman kaikissa, mitä te ja teidän huoneenne kannatte edes, joilla Herra sinun Jumalas sinun on siunannut.
And there ye shall eate before the Lord your God, and ye shall reioyce in all that yee put your hand vnto, both ye, and your housholdes, because the Lord thy God hath blessed thee.
8 Ei teidän pidä tekemän kaikkein niiden jälkeen, kuin me tässä tänäpänä teemme, jokainen niinkuin hänelle itse näkyis oikiaksi.
Ye shall not doe after all these things that we doe here this day: that is, euery man whatsoeuer seemeth him good in his owne eyes.
9 Sillä ette vielä ole tähänasti tulleet lepoon ja perimykseen, jonka Herra sinun Jumalas sinulle antaa.
For ye are not yet come to rest, and to the inheritance which the Lord thy God giueth thee.
10 Vaan teidän pitää menemän Jordanin yli, ja asuman siinä maassa, jonka Herra teidän Jumalanne antta teidän periä: ja hän antaa teille levon kaikilta vihamiehiltänne ympäriltänne, teidän pitää myös turvallisesti asuman.
But when ye goe ouer Iorden, and dwell in ye land, which the Lord your God hath giuen you to inherit, and when he hath giue you rest from al your enemies round about, and yee dwel in safetie,
11 Ja siinä pitää oleman se paikka, jonka Herra sinun Jumalas valitsee, että hänen nimensä siinä asuis; sinne pitää teidän viemän kaikki ne mitkä minä teille käsken: polttouhrinne, ja muut uhrinne, kymmenyksenne, kättenne ylennysuhrin, ja kaikki vapaat lupauksenne, jotka te Herralle lupaatte.
When there shalbe a place which the Lord your God shall chose, to cause his name to dwell there, thither shall yee bring all that I commaund you: your burnt offrings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the offring of your hands, and all your speciall vowes which ye vowe vnto the Lord:
12 Ja teidän pitää iloitseman Herran teidän Jumalanne edessä, sekä te että poikanne, ja tyttärenne, palvelijan ja piikanne; ja myös Leviläiset, jotka teidän porteissanne ovat: sillä ei heillä ole osaa eli perimystä teidän kanssanne.
And ye shall reioyce before the Lord your God, yee, and your sonnes and your daughters, and your seruaunts, and your maidens, and the Leuite that is within your gates: for hee hath no part nor inheritance with you.
13 Karta uhraamasta polttouhrias joka paikassa, minkäs näet:
Take heede that thou offer not thy burnt offrings in euery place that thou seest:
14 Vaan siinä paikassa, jonka Herra valitsee jossakussa sinun sukukunnassas, siellä pitää sinun polttouhris uhraaman; ja tekemän kaikki, mitä minä sinulle käsken.
But in ye place which the Lord shall chose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offrings, and there thou shalt doe all that I commaund thee.
15 Kuitenkin teurasta ja syö lihaa kaiken sinun sielus himon jälkeen, Herran sinun Jumalas siunauksen jälkeen, jonka hän sinulle on antanut, kaikissa sinun porteissas: sekä saastainen että puhdas siitä syökään, niinkuin metsävuohen ja peuran lihaa.
Notwithstanding thou maiest kill and eate flesh in all thy gates, whatsoeuer thine heart desireth, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath giuen thee: both the vncleane and the cleane may eate thereof, as of the roe bucke, and of the hart.
16 Mutta ei teidän pidä verta syömän; vaan kaataman sen maahan niinkuin veden.
Onely ye shall not eat the blood, but powre it vpon the earth as water.
17 Et sinä saa suinkaan syödä porteissas jyväis, viinas, ja öljys kymmenyksiä, eikä myös esikoisia karjastas ja lampaistas; taikka yhtäkään lupausuhria, jonka sinä luvannut olet, taikka sinun vapaan ehtos uhria, eli kättes ylennysuhria;
Thou maist nor eat within thy gates the tithe of thy corne, nor of thy wine, nor of thine oyle, nor the first borne of thy kine, nor of thy sheep, neither any of thy vowes which thou vowest, nor thy free offerings, nor the offering of thine hands,
18 Vaan Herran sinun Jumalas edessä, pitää sinun niitä syömän siinä paikassa, jonka Herra sinun Jumalas valitsee, sinä ja poikas, ja tyttäres, ja palvelias ja piikas, ja Leviläinen joka sinun porteissas on, ja iloitse Herran sinun Jumalas edessä kaikissa, mitä sinun kätes suo.
But thou shalt eate it before the Lord thy God, in the place which the Lord thy God shall chuse, thou, and thy sonne, and thy daughter, and thy seruat, and thy maid, and the Leuite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt reioyce before the Lord thy God, in all that thou puttest thine hand to.
19 Ja ota vaari, ettes hyljää Leviläistä, niin kauvan kuin sinä elät maan päällä,
Beware, that thou forsake not the Leuite, as long as thou liuest vpon the earth.
20 Kuin Herra sinun Jumalas, levittää sinun maas rajat, niinkuin hän sanoi sinulle, ja sinä sanot: minä syön lihaa: että sinun sielus himoitsee lihaa syödä; niin syö lihaa kaiken sinun sielus himon jälkeen.
When the Lord thy God shall enlarge thy border, as hee hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I wil eate flesh, (because thine heart longeth to eate flesh) thou maiest eate flesh, whatsoeuer thine heart desireth.
21 Jos se sia sinusta kaukana on, jonka Herra sinun Jumalas valitsi, että hän siellä antaa nimensä asua, niin teurasta karjastas ja lampaistas, jotka Herra sinulle antanut on, niinkuin minä sinulle käskin, ja syö porteissas kaiken sinun sielus himon jälkeen.
If the place which the Lord thy God hath chosen to put his Name there, be farre from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy bullockes, and of thy sheepe which the Lord hath giuen thee, as I haue commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates, whatsoeuer thine heart desireth.
22 Kaiketikin niinkuin metsävuohi ja peura syödään, niin pitää sinun sen syömän: sekä saastainen että puhdas siitä syökään.
Euen as the roe bucke, and the hart is eaten, so shalt thou eat them. both the vncleane and the cleane shall eate of them alike.
23 Vaan ainoasti kavahda, ettes verta syö; sillä veri on henki, sentähden ei sinun pidä syömän henkeä lihan kanssa.
Onely bee sure that thou eate not the blood: for the blood is the life, and thou maiest not eate the life with the flesh.
24 Ei sinun pidä sitä syömän, mutta kaataman maahan niinkuin veden.
Therefore thou shalt not eat it, but powre it vpon the earth as water.
25 Ei pidä sinun syömän sitä, ettäs menestyisit, ja sinun lapses sinun jälkees, ettäs oikein tehnyt olet Herran edessä.
Thou shalt not eat it, that it may go well with thee; and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt doe that which is right in the sight of the Lord:
26 Mutta jos sinä pyhität jotain joka sinun omas on, taikka teet lupauksen, niin sinun pitää sen viemän, ja sinun pitää tuleman siihen siaan, jonka Herra valinnut on,
But thine holy things which thou hast, and thy vowes thou shalt take vp, and come vnto the place which the Lord shall chuse.
27 Ja tee siellä lihasta ja verestä polttouhris, Herran sinun Jumalas alttarille, ja syö liha.
And thou shalt make thy burnt offerings of the flesh, and of the blood vpon the altar of the Lord thy God, and the blood of thine offerings shall bee powred vpon the altar of the Lord thy God, and thou shalt eate the flesh.
28 Ota vaari, ja kuule kaikki nämät sanat, jotka minä käsken sinulle, ettäs menestyisit, ja sinun lapses sinun jälkees ijankaikkisesti, ettäs olet oikein ja kelvollisesti Herran sinun Jumalas edessä tehnyt.
Take heede, and heare all these woordes which I commaund thee, that it may goe well with thee, and with thy children after thee for euer, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the Lord thy God.
29 Kuin Herra sinun Jumalas hävittää pakanat edestäs, kuhunka sinä tulet heitä omistamaan, ja olet heitä omistanut ja asut heidän maallansa,
When the Lord thy God shall destroy the nations before thee, whither thou goest to possesse them, and thou shalt possesse them and dwell in their lande,
30 Niin ota vaari, ettes heidän perässänsä paulaan lankee, sittekuin he ovat hukutetut sinun edestäs, ja ettes etsisi heidän jumaliansa, sanoen: niinkuin tämäkin kansa on palvellut epäjumaliansa, niin tahdon myös minä tehdä.
Beware, lest thou be taken in a snare after them, after that they be destroied before thee, and lest thou aske after their gods, saying, Howe did these nations serue their gods, that I may doe so likewise?
31 Ei sinun pidä niin tekemän Herralle sinun Jumalalles; sillä he ovat tehneet jumalillensa kaikkia niitä, mitä Herralle kauhistus on, jota hän vihaa; sillä he ovat poikansakin ja tyttärensä tulella polttaneet jumalillensa.
Thou shalt not doe so vnto the Lord thy God: for al abomination, which the Lord hateth, haue they done vnto their gods: for they haue burned both their sonnes and their daughters with fire to their gods.
32 Kaikki mitä minä käsken teille, pitää teidän pitämän, tehdäksenne sen jälkeen: ei teidän pidä siihen mitään lisäämän, eikä myös siitä mitään vähentämän.
Therefore whatsoeuer I command you, take heede you doe it: thou shalt put nothing thereto, nor take ought therefrom.
