1 Ja Josia piti Jerusalemissa pääsiäistä Herralle ja he teurastivat pääsiäisen neljäntenä päivänä toistakymmentä, ensimmäisellä kuulla.
And he observed Josiah in Jerusalem a passover to Yahweh and people slaughtered the passover on [day] four-teen of the month first.
2 Ja hän asetti papit vartioihinsa ja vahvisti heitä virkaansa Herran huoneessa.
And he appointed the priests on duties their and he encouraged them for [the] service of [the] house of Yahweh.
3 Ja hän sanoi Leviläisille, jotka koko Israelia opettivat ja Herran pyhitetyt olivat: pankaat pyhä arkki huoneesen, jonka Salomo Davidin poika Israelin kuningas on rakentaa antanut, ja ei teidän pidä sitä kantaman teidän olallanne. And he said to the Levites (those teaching *Q(K)*) all Israel holy to Yahweh put [the] ark of holiness in the house which he built Solomon [the] son of David [the] king of Israel not [will belong] to you a burden on the shoulder now serve Yahweh God your and people his Israel.

(And prepare *Q(K)*) to [the] house of ancestors your according to divisions your by [the] writing of David [the] king of Israel and by [the] writing of Solomon son his.
5 Ja seisokaat pyhässä, isäin huoneen järjestyksen jälkeen, teidän veljeinne seassa, jotka ovat kansasta syntyneet, ja Leviläisten isäin huoneen järjestyksen jälkeen.
And stand in the holy place to [the] divisions of [the] house of the ancestors of countrymen your [the] sons of the people and a division of [the] house of an ancestor for the Levites.
6 Teurastakaat pääsiäinen ja pyhittäkäät teitänne, valmistakaat myös veljenne, tekemään Herran sanan jälkeen Moseksen kautta.
And slaughter the passover and consecrate yourselves and prepare for countrymen your to do according to [the] word of Yahweh by [the] hand of Moses.
7 Ja Josia antoi ylennysuhriksi yhteisen kansan edestä karitsoita ja vohlia, (kaikki pääsiäiseksi niille, jotka läsnä olivat, ) kolmekymmentä tuhatta, niin myös kolmetuhatta härkää. Ja nämät olivat kuninkaan hyvyydestä.
And he contributed Josiah for [the] sons of the people flock[s] of lambs and [the] young of goats everything for the passovers for every [one who] was found to [the] number of thirty thousand and cattle three thousand these [were] from [the] property of the king.
8 Ja hänen päämiehensä antoivat myös mielellänsä kansan edestä ylennykseksi papeille ja Leviläisille, (jotka olivat: Hilkia, Sakaria ja Jehiel päämiehet Jumalan huoneessa, papeille antoivat he) pääsiäisuhriksi, kaksituhatta ja kuusisataa (karitsaa ja vohlaa), niin myös kolmesataa härkää.
And officials his to a freewill offering for the people for the priests and for the Levites they contributed Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel [the] officers of [the] house of God to the priests they gave for the passovers two thousand and six hundred and cattle three hundred.

And it was arranged the service and they took their stand the priests at place their and the Levites on divisions their according to [the] command of the king.
11 Ja he teurastivat pääsiäisen, ja papit priiskottivat niiden veren, ja Leviläiset ottivat pois nahan.
And they slaughtered the passover and they sprinkled the priests from hand their and the Levites [were] skinning [them].
12 Ja he eroittivat polttouhrin, antaaksensa isäin huonetten järjestyksen jälkeen yhteiselle joukolle, uhrattaa Herralle, niinkuin kirjoitettu on Moseksen kirjassa; niin tekivät he myös härkäin kanssa.
And they put aside the burnt offering[s] to give them to [the] divisions of [the] house of ancestors of [the] sons of the people to bring near to Yahweh according to [what] is written in [the] scroll of Moses and thus for the cattle.
13 Ja he paistivat pääsiäislampaan tulella, lain jälkeen, mutta pyhitetyn keittivät he padoissa, kattiloissa ja pannuissa, ja tekivät sen kiiruusti tariten kaikelle kansalle.
And they cooked the passover in the fire according to the ordinance and the holy offerings they boiled in pots and in kettles and in pans and they brought [them] quickly to all [the] children of the people.
14 Sitte valmistivat he itsellensä ja papeille; sillä papeilla Aaronin pojilla oli tekemistä polttouhrin ja lihavuuden kanssa, hamaan yöhön asti; sentähden Leviläisten piti itsellensä ja papeille Aaronin pojille jotain valmistaman.
And after they prepared for themselves and for the priests for the priests [the] descendants of Aaron [were] in offering up the burnt offering[s] and the fat until night and the Levites they prepared for themselves and for the priests [the] descendants of Aaron.
15 Ja viesaajat Asaphin lapset seisoivat siassansa Davidin käskyn jälkeen, ja Asaphin ja Hemanin ja Jedutunin kuninkaan näkiän, ja ovenvartiat jokaisen oven tykönä, eikä lähteneet virastansa, sillä Leviläiset heidän veljensä valmistivat heidän eteensä.
And the singers [the] descendants of Asaph [were] at post their according to [the] command of David and Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun [the] seer of the king and the gatekeepers [were] to a gate and a gate not [belonged] to them to turn aside from on service their for relatives their the Levites they prepared for them.
16 Niin oli kaikki Herran palvelus toimitettu sinä päivänä, pidettää pääsiäistä ja uhrata polttouhria Herran alttarilla, kuningas Josian käskyn jälkeen.
And it was arranged all [the] service of Yahweh on the day that to observe the passover and to offer up burnt offerings on [the] altar of Yahweh according to [the] command of the king Josiah.
17 Niin pitivät Israelin lapset, jotka siinä läsnä olivat, pääsiäistä siihen aikaan, ja happamattoman leivän juhlaa, seitsemän päivää.
And they observed [the] people of Israel who were found the passover at the time that and [the] festival of the unleavened bread seven days.

And not it had been observed a passover like it in Israel since [the] days of Samuel the prophet and any kings of Israel - not they had observed like the passover which he observed Josiah and the priests and the Levites and all Judah and Israel which was found and [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem.
19 Josian valtakunnan kahdeksantena vuonna toistakymmentä pidettiin tämä pääsiäinen.
In eight-teen year of [the] reign of Josiah it was observed the passover this.

After all this when he had prepared Josiah the house he came up Necho [the] king of Egypt to do battle at Carchemish on [the] Euphrates and he went out to meet him Josiah.
21 Mutta hän lähetti sanan hänen tykönsä ja käski hänelle sanoa: mitä minun on sinun kanssas tekemistä, Juudan kuningas? En minä tule sinua vastaan tänäpänä, mutta sitä huonetta, joka sotii minua vastaan. And he sent to him messengers - saying - what? [is] to me and to you O king of Judah not on you you this day for against [the] house of battle my and God he has said to hurry I cease yourself from God who [is] with me and may not he destroy you.
22 Mutta ei Josia kääntänyt kasvojansa hänestä, vaan asetti itsensä sotimaan häntä vastaan, ja ei totellut Nekon sanoja Jumalan suusta, vaan tuli sotimaan Megiddon kedolle.
And not he turned round Josiah face his away from him for to fight against him he disguised himself and not he listened to [the] words of Necho from [the] mouth of God and he went to do battle in [the] valley of Megiddo.
23 Ja ampujat ampuivat kuningas Josiaa. Ja kuningas sanoi palvelioillensa: viekäät minut tästä pois, sillä minä olen sangen pahoin haavoitettu.
And they shot arrows the archers to the king Josiah and he said the king to servants his take away me for I have been wounded exceedingly.
24 Ja hänen palveliansa ottivat hänen vaunusta ja panivat hänen toiseen vaunuunsa, ja veivät hänen Jerusalemiin. Ja hän kuoli ja haudattiin isäinsä hautoihin. Ja koko Juuda ja Jerusalem itkivät Josiaa.
And they took away him servants his from the chariot and they made ride him on [the] chariot of second which [belonged] to him and they brought him Jerusalem and he died and he was buried in [the] graves of ancestors his and all Judah and Jerusalem [were] mourning on Josiah.
25 Ja Jeremia itki Josiaa, ja kaikki laulajat, miehet ja vaimot, murehtivat häntä itkuvirsillä hamaan tähän päivään asti. Ja he tekivät siitä tavan Israelissa; katso, se on kirjoitettu valitusvirsissä.
And he made a lament Jeremiah on Josiah and they have said all the male singers - and the female singers in lamentations their on Josiah until this day and they made them into a decree on Israel and there they [are] written on the lamentations.
26 Mitä enempää Josiasta sanomista on ja hänen laupiudestansa kirjoituksen jälkeen Herran laissa,
And [the] rest of [the] matters of Josiah and covenant loyalti his according to [what] is written in [the] law of Yahweh.
27 Ja hänen teoistansa, ensimäisistä ja viimeisistä: katso, se on kirjoitettu Israelin ja Juudan kuningasten kirjassa.
And matters his former and latter there they [are] written on [the] scroll of [the] kings of Israel and Judah.
