< Zekaria 1 >
1 Le ɣleti enyilia me le Fia Darius ƒe ƒe evelia me la, gbe tso Yehowa gbɔ va na Nyagblɔɖila Zekaria, Berekia ƒe vi kple Ido ƒe tɔgbuiyɔvi be,
In the eighth month, in the second year of king Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying:
2 “Yehowa do dɔmedzoe ɖe mia fofowo ŋu vevie,
The Lord has become angry over the resentful anger of your fathers.
3 eya ta gblɔ na ameawo be ale Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la gblɔe nye esi, ‘Mitrɔ ɖe ŋunye, ekema nye hã matrɔ ɖe mia ŋu!’
And you shall say to them: Thus says the Lord of hosts: Turn to me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will turn to you, says the Lord of hosts.
4 Miganɔ abe mia fofowo ene o, ame siwo nyagblɔɖila tsãtɔwo gblɔ na be ale Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la gblɔe nye esi: ‘Mitrɔ le miaƒe mɔ vɔ̃wo dzi, eye miaɖe asi le miaƒe nu vɔ̃ɖi wɔwɔwo ŋuti.’ Gake wogbe toɖoɖom, eye wometsɔ ɖeke le eme nam o.
Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets cried out, saying: Thus says the Lord of hosts: Turn from your evil ways and from your wicked thoughts. But they did not heed, and neither did they pay attention to me, says the Lord.
5 Afi ka mia fofowo le fifia, eye ɖe nyagblɔɖilawo nɔa agbe tegbea?
Your fathers, where are they? And will the prophets live unceasingly?
6 Ke ɖe nye nya kple ɖoɖo siwo mede asi na nye dɔla, nyagblɔɖilawo la meva mia fofowo dzi oa? “Le esia ta la, wotrɔ dzi me gblɔ be, ‘Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la wɔ na mí ɖe míaƒe mɔwo kple wɔnawo nu abe ale si wòɖoe be yeawɔ ene.’”
Yet truly my words and my lawfulness, which I entrusted to my servants the prophets, were indeed comprehended by your fathers, and so they were converted, and they said: Just as the Lord of hosts decided to do to us, according to our ways and according to our inventions, so has he done to us.
7 Le ɣleti wuiɖekɛlia si nye Sebat ƒe ŋkeke blaeve-vɔ-enelia dzi, le Fia Darius ƒe ƒe evelia me la, Yehowa ƒe gbe va na nyagblɔɖila Zekaria, Berekia ƒe vi kple Ido ƒe tɔgbuiyɔvi.
On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is called Shevat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying:
8 Mekpɔ ŋutega le zã me, eye le ŋutega la me la, mekpɔ ŋutsu aɖe wònɔ sɔ dzĩ aɖe dom. Sɔdola la tsi tsitre ɖe amitive aɖe me le bali aɖe me. Sɔ dzĩ, sɔ hẽ kple sɔ ɣi bubuwo nɔ emegbe.
I saw by night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees, which were in the chasm. And behind him were horses: red, speckled, and white.
9 Mebia be, “Nye Aƒetɔ, nu kawoe nye esiawo?” Mawudɔla si nɔ nu ƒom kplim la ɖo eŋu nam be, “Mafia nu si wonye la wò.”
And I said, “What are these, my lord?” And the angel, who was speaking with me, said to me, “I will reveal to you what these are.”
10 Tete ame si tsi tsitre ɖe amitiawo dome la ɖe eme nam be, “Woawoe nye ame siwo Yehowa dɔ be woatsa le anyigba blibo la dzi.”
And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, “These are they, whom the Lord has sent in order to walk through the earth.”
11 Wova gblɔ na Yehowa ƒe dɔla, ame si nɔ tsitre ɖe amitiawo dome la be, “Míetsa le anyigba blibo la dzi, eye dzidzedze kple ŋutifafa le afi sia afi.”
And those who stood among the myrtle trees answered the angel of the Lord, and they said, “We have walked through the earth, and behold, all the earth is inhabited and is at rest.”
12 Esi Yehowa ƒe dɔla la se nya siawo la, edo gbe ɖa be, “O Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ, ƒe blaadree nye esi, esi nètrɔ wò dɔmedzoe kɔ ɖe Yerusalem kple Yuda ƒe duwo dzi. Va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣi nàgakpɔ nublanui na wo?”
And the angel of the Lord answered and said, “Lord of hosts, how long will you not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, with which you have been angry? This is now the seventieth year.”
13 Yehowa ɖo eŋu na mawudɔla si le xanye la hegblɔ akɔfanyawo kple dzideƒonyawo nɛ.
And the Lord answered the angel, who had been speaking with me, good words, consoling words.
14 Tete mawudɔla si nɔ nu ƒom kplim la gblɔ be, “Ɖe gbeƒã nya sia: ale Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la gblɔe nye esi: ‘Meʋã ŋu ɖe Yerusalem kple Zion nu ŋutɔ,
And the angel, who was speaking with me, said to me: Cry out, saying: Thus says the Lord of hosts: I have been zealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great zeal.
15 ke mekpɔ dɔmedzoe vevie ɖe dukɔ siwo susu be yewole dedie la ŋuti. Ke dɔmedzoe vi aɖe ko mekpɔ, gake woawoe he dzɔgbevɔ̃e la vɛ.’
And, with a great anger, I am angry with the wealthy nations. Though I had been angry a little, truly they advanced further in evil.
16 “Eya ta ale Yehowa gblɔe nye esi: ‘Matrɔ ɖe Yerusalem ŋu kple nublanuikpɔkpɔ. Le afi ma, woagbugbɔ nye xɔ la atu, eye woatsɔ nudzidzeka aɖo Yerusalem katã ŋuti.’ Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ lae gblɔe.
Because of this, thus says the Lord: I will be turned back, towards Jerusalem, with mercies; and my house will be built upon this, says the Lord of hosts. And the building line will be extended over Jerusalem.
17 “Yi edzi, nàɖe gbeƒã be ale Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la gblɔe nye esi, ‘Nye duwo agagbagba kple dzidzedze, Yehowa agafa akɔ na Zion, eye wòagatia Yerusalem.’”
Until then, cry out saying: Thus says the Lord of hosts: Until then, my cities will flow with good things, and, until then, the Lord will comfort Zion, and, until then, he will single out Jerusalem.
18 Esi mefɔ kɔ dzi la, mekpɔ lãdzo ene le nye ŋkume.
And I lifted up my eyes, and I saw. And behold: four horns.
19 Mebia mawudɔla la be “Nu kawoe nye esiawo?” Eɖo eŋu nam be, “Woawoe nye lãdzo siwo kaka Yuda, Israel kple Yerusalem.”
And I said to the angel, who was speaking with me, “What are these?” And he said to me, “These are the horns that have winnowed Judah and Israel and Jerusalem.”
20 Yehowa gaɖe gbede ene fiam.
And the Lord showed me four workmen.
21 Mebia be, “Nu ka wɔ ge wogbɔna?” Eɖo eŋu nam be, “Esiawoe nye lãdzo siwo kaka Yuda ale gbegbe be ame aɖeke mate ŋu afɔ ta dzi o. Ke gbedeawo va be woado ŋɔdzi na wo, eye woatsɔ dukɔwo ƒe lãdzo siawo aƒu ame siwo kɔ woƒe dzowo dzi ɖe Yudanyigba ŋu be yewoakaka eƒe amewo la anyi.”
And I said, “What have these come to do?” He spoke, saying, “These are the horns that have winnowed Judah, through every single man, and none of them lifted up his head. And these have come to frighten them away, so as to cast down the horns of the Gentiles, which have lifted up a horn over the land of Judah, so as to scatter it.”
