Remind them to be in subjection to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,
2 Mele be woagblɔ nya vɔ̃ ɖe ame aɖeke ŋu loo alo awɔ dzre o, ke boŋ ele be woanye ame fafawo, eye woabu ame sia ame.
to speak evil of no one, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing courtesy to all people.
3 Míawo hã míenye abunɛtɔwo kpɔ, eye míegbe toɖoɖo. Ame bubuwo ble mí, eye míezu kluviwo na ŋutilã ƒe nudzodzro vɔ̃wo kple fieŋufieŋu vɔ̃ɖiwo. Havimalɔmalɔ̃ kple ŋuʋaʋã xɔ mía me keŋ. Míelé fu amewo, eye woawo hã lé fu mí.
For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
4 Ke esi ɣeyiɣi la de be Mawu, mía Ɖela ƒe amenuveve kple lɔlɔ̃ nado la,
But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward humankind appeared,

not by works of righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us, through the washing of rebirth and renewing by the Holy Spirit,

that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of everlasting life. (aiōnios )

This saying is faithful, and concerning these things I desire that you affirm confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable for people;

but shun foolish questionings, genealogies, strife, and disputes about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
10 Ne ame aɖe le mama hem va mia dome la, ele be miagbe nya nɛ zi gbãtɔ kple zi evelia. Le esia megbe la, migatsɔ ɖeke le eƒe nya me o,
Reject a divisive person after a first and second warning;
11 elabena ame ma tɔgbi medaa asi ɖe nu nyui dzi o. Ele nu vɔ̃ wɔm, eye eya ŋutɔ nya nenema.
knowing that such a one is perverted, and sins, being self-condemned.
12 Mele eɖom be maɖo Artema alo Tikiko ɖe wò. Ne wo dometɔ ɖeka va ɖo la, dze agbagba nàdo gom le Nikopoli kaba abe ale si nàte ŋui ene, elabena meɖo be manɔ afi ma le vuvɔŋɔli la me.
When I send Artemas to you, or Tychicus, be diligent to come to me to Nicopolis, for I have determined to winter there.
13 Wɔ nu sia nu si nàte ŋui la be nàkpe ɖe Zenas, senyala la kple Apolo ŋu le woƒe mɔzɔzɔ me. Kpɔ egbɔ be wona nu sia nu si woahiã la wo.
Send Zenas, the Law scholar, and Apollos on their journey speedily, that nothing may be lacking for them.
14 Fia míaƒe ameawo be woasrɔ̃ ale si woatsɔ wo ɖokuiwo ade nu nyui wɔwɔ me, ale be woate ŋu akpɔ woƒe gbe sia gbe ƒe nuhiahiãwo, eye womanɔ agbe maɖevi o.
Let our people also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they may not be unfruitful.
15 Ame siwo katã le gbɔnye la do gbe na mi nyuie. Do gbe na ame siwo lɔ̃a mí le xɔse la me. Amenuveve nanɔ kpli mi katã.
All who are with me greet you. Greet those who love us in faith. Grace be with you all.
