< Romatɔwo 8 >

1 Eya ta azɔ la, fɔbubu aɖeke megali na ame siwo le Kristo Yesu me la o,
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
2 elabena to Yesu Kristo me la, Gbɔgbɔ si naa agbe la ɖem tso nu vɔ̃ kple ku ƒe se la si me.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.
3 Elabena nu si se la mete ŋu wɔ o esi wògbɔdzɔ to ŋutilã me la, Mawu wɔe to Via si wòɖo ɖa le nu vɔ̃ ŋutilã ƒe nɔnɔme me la dzi, eye wòtsɔ eɖokui sa vɔe ɖe míaƒe nu vɔ̃wo ta, eye wòbu fɔ nu vɔ̃ le ŋutilã me,
For what the law was powerless to do since it was weak through the flesh, God has done. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,
4 be woawu se la ƒe dzɔdzɔenyenye nu le mí ame siwo mezɔna ɖe ŋutilã nu o, negbe le Gbɔgbɔ nu ko la me.
so that the requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
Now the mindset of the flesh is death, but the mindset of the Spirit is life and peace.
7 Susu si ŋutilã la kplɔna la nye adika na Mawu, elabena mebɔbɔa eɖokui ɖe Mawu ƒe seawo te o, eye mate ŋui hã o.
The mindset of the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to the law of God; indeed, it is unable to do so.
That is why those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 Ke miawo la, mienɔa agbe le ŋutilã nu o, ke boŋ mienɔa agbe le Gbɔgbɔ la nu, ne ele eme be Mawu ƒe Gbɔgbɔ le mia me. Eye ne Kristo ƒe Gbɔgbɔ mele ame aɖe me o la, eya amea menye Kristo tɔ o.
You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
10 Ke ne Kristo le mia me la, miaƒe ŋutilã ku le nu vɔ̃ ta, gake Gbɔgbɔ la nye agbe le dzɔdzɔenyenye ŋuti.
But if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness.
11 Eye ne Mawu ƒe Gbɔgbɔ si fɔ Yesu ɖe tsitre tso ame kukuwo dome le agbe le mia me la, ekema ame si fɔ Kristo ɖe tsitre la agbɔ agbe miaƒe ŋutilã siwo kuna la to eƒe Gbɔgbɔ si le agbe le mia me la dzi.
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who dwells in you.
So then, brothers, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh,
for if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
14 Elabena ame siwo Mawu ƒe Gbɔgbɔ kplɔna la, ame mawoe nye Mawu viwo.
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
15 Elabena Gbɔgbɔ si miexɔ la mewɔ mi mienye kluviwo, be miaganɔ vɔvɔ̃m o; ke boŋ Gbɔgbɔ si miexɔ la na vinyenye ƒe ŋusẽ mi, esime míedo ɣli be, “Abba, Fofo.”
For you did not receive a spirit of slavery leading again to fear, but a spirit of adoption as sons, by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”
16 Gbɔgbɔ la ŋutɔ ɖia ɖase kpena ɖe míaƒe gbɔgbɔ la ŋu be Mawu viwo míenye.
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God.
17 Azɔ esi míenye viawo ta la, míezu eƒe kesinɔnuwo ƒe domenyilawo, Mawu ƒe domenyilawo kple ame siwo anyi dome kple Kristo, ne ele alea be míekpe fu kplii, be míakpɔ gome kplii le eƒe ŋutikɔkɔe me.
Now if we are children, we are also heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.
18 Mebuna be fukpekpe siwo me tom míele fifia la mate ŋu asɔ kple ŋutikɔkɔe si wole ɖeɖe ge afia le mía me la o.
I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing to the glory that will be revealed to us.
19 Elabena Mawu ƒe nuwɔwɔwo katã tsɔ dzigbɔɖi kple mɔkpɔkpɔ le Mawu viwo ƒe ɖeɖefia la lalam.
The creation waits with eager longing for the sons of God to be revealed.
20 Elabena nuwɔwɔ la le gbegblẽ me, nu si menye eƒe didi o, ke boŋ ame si he gbegblẽ sia vɛ la ƒe lɔlɔ̃nu wònye kple mɔkpɔkpɔ,
For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope
21 be nuwɔwɔ la axɔ ablɔɖe tso gbegblẽ ƒe kluvinyenye me age ɖe Mawu viwo ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe ƒe ablɔɖe la me.
that the creation itself will also be set free from the slavery of corruption and brought into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
For we know that all creation has been groaning together with labor pains until now.
Not only that, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we eagerly await our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
24 Elabena woɖe mí to mɔkpɔkpɔ sia me. Gake mɔkpɔkpɔ si kpɔa nu kple ŋku la menye mɔkpɔkpɔ wònye o. Ame kae kpɔa mɔ na nu si su esi xoxo mahã?
For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope, for why would someone hope for what he already sees?
25 Gake ne míele mɔ kpɔm na nu si mesu mía si haɖeke o la, míelalanɛ le dzigbɔɖi me.
But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with patient endurance.
26 Nenema ke Gbɔgbɔ la kpena ɖe mía ŋu le míaƒe gbɔdzɔgbɔdzɔ me. Elabena míenyaa nu si ta míado gbe ɖa ɖo gɔ̃ hã o, gake Gbɔgbɔ la ŋutɔ xɔa nya ɖe akɔ ɖe mía nu le ŋeŋe manyagblɔ aɖe me.
In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings.
27 Ke ame si dzroa míaƒe dziwo me la nyaa nu si Gbɔgbɔ la le didim, elabena Gbɔgbɔ la xɔa nya ɖe akɔ na Mawu ƒe amewo le Mawu ƒe lɔlɔ̃nu me.
And he who searches the hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
28 Ke míenya be le nuwo katã me la, Mawu wɔa nu hena ame siwo lɔ̃nɛ la ƒe nyui, ame siwo woyɔ le eƒe tameɖoɖo ɖi nu.
And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose.
29 Elabena ame siwo Mawu nya ɖi la, woawo ke wòɖo ɖi be woanɔ Via ƒe nɔnɔme me, be wòanye ŋgɔgbevi le nɔviawo dome.
Because those whom he foreknew he also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
And those whom he foreordained, he also called; and those whom he called, he also justified; and those whom he justified, he also glorified.
31 Nu ka gɔ̃ míagblɔ tso nu siawo ŋu? Ne Mawu le mía dzi la, ame kae ate ŋu atsi tsitre ɖe mía ŋu?
What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
32 Ame si meve eya ŋutɔ Via nu o, ke boŋ wòtsɔe na ɖe mí katã ta la, ɖe matsɔ nu bubu ɖe sia ɖe hã ana mí oa?
He who did not spare his own Son but delivered him up for us all, how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
33 Ame kae ate ŋu atsɔ nya ɖe mí ame siwo Mawu tia na eɖokui la ŋu? Mawue nye afiatsola.
Who will bring an accusation against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.
34 Ekema ame kae abu fɔ mí? Ame aɖeke mabu fɔ mí o.
Who is to condemn? Christ is the one who died, but more than that, he was raised and is at the right hand of God, interceding for us.
35 Nu kae ama mí ɖa tso Kristo ƒe lɔlɔ̃ gbɔ? Fuwɔame loo alo xaxa? Yometiti loo alo dɔwuamea? Amamanɔnɔ loo, dzɔgbevɔ̃e loo, alo yia?
Who can separate us from the love of Christ? Can tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?
36 Abe ale si woŋlɔe ɖi ene be, “Le tawò míeɖoa ku ƒe xaxawo me le ŋkeke blibo la me; wobua mí abe alẽ siwo wokplɔ yina wuwu ge la ene.”
As it is written, “For yoʋr sake we face death all day long; we are regarded as sheep for slaughter.”
37 Gake le nu siawo katã me la, míeɖu dzi glo le ame si lɔ̃ mí la me.
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
38 Elabena menyae keŋ be eɖanye ku o, eɖanye agbe o; eɖanye mawudɔlawo o, eɖanye gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃wo o; eɖanye nu siwo li fifia o, eɖanye nu siwo le vava ge o, eɖanye ŋusẽwo o,
For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 eɖanye kɔkɔƒe o, eɖanye gogloƒe o, alo nuwɔwɔ bubu aɖe o, womate ŋu ama mí ɖa tso Mawu ƒe lɔlɔ̃ si le Kristo Yesu, míaƒe Aƒetɔ me la gbɔ o.
nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
