< Romatɔwo 10 >

1 Nɔvi lɔlɔ̃awo, nye dzimedidi kple nye gbedodoɖa na Mawue nye be Israeltɔwo nakpɔ ɖeɖe.
Brothers, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved.
2 Elabena mate ŋu aɖi ɖase tso wo ŋu be wotsɔa dzo ɖe Mawu ŋuti, gake womewɔa esia kple sidzedze o.
For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
3 Esi womenya Mawu ƒe dzɔdzɔenyenye o, eye wole agbagba dzem be yewoatsɔ yewo ŋutɔ ƒe dzɔdzɔenyenye atu tsitre la, ekema womebɔbɔ wo ɖokuiwo ɖe Mawu ƒe dzɔdzɔenyenye la te o.
For being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they didn’t subject themselves to the righteousness of God.
For Messiah is the fulfilment of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
5 Mose ŋlɔ ɖi le dzɔdzɔenyenye si tso se la me la ŋuti be, “Ame si wɔ nu siawo la, anɔ agbe ɖe wo nu.”
For Moses writes about the righteousness of the law, “The one who does them will live by them.”
6 Ke dzɔdzɔenyenye si vana to xɔse me la gblɔ be, “Mègagblɔ le wò dzi me be, ‘Ame kae ayi dziƒo mahã?’” (Esia fia be woatsɔ Kristo ava anyigba dzi)
But the righteousness which is of faith says this, “Don’t say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Messiah down);
7 “alo ‘Ame kae ayi tsiẽƒe mahã?’” (Esia fia be woana Kristo nagatsi tsitre tso ame kukuwo dome). (Abyssos g12)
or, ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ (that is, to bring Messiah up from the dead.)” (Abyssos g12)
8 Ke nya ka wògblɔ? “Nya la tsɔ ɖe gbɔwò kpuie; ele wò nu me, eye wòle wò dzi me hã.” Esia nye xɔse si ŋu míele gbeƒã ɖem le la.
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart;” that is, the word of faith which we proclaim:
9 Elabena ne ètsɔ wò nu ʋu eme be Yesue nye Aƒetɔ, eye nèxɔe se tso wò dzi me be Mawu fɔe ɖe tsitre tso ame kukuwo dome la, àkpɔ ɖeɖe.
that if you will confess with your mouth that Yeshua is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 Elabena wotsɔa dzi xɔna sena hena dzɔdzɔenyenye, eye wotsɔa nu ʋua eme hena ɖeɖekpɔkpɔ.
For with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation.
11 Elabena Ŋɔŋlɔ Kɔkɔe la gblɔ na mí be, “Ŋu makpe ame sia ame si xɔ Kristo dzi se la akpɔ o.”
For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.”
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him.
13 elabena, “Ame sia ame si yɔa Aƒetɔ la ƒe ŋkɔa la akpɔ ɖeɖe.”
For, “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Eye aleke woate ŋu axɔ edzi ase ne womese nu tso eŋu kpɔ o? Eye aleke woawɔ ase nya tso eŋu ne ame aɖeke megblɔe na wo o?
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a proclaimer?
15 Eye aleke ame aɖe aɖe gbeƒã tso Kristo ŋu ne womedɔe o? Abe ale si woŋlɔe ɖi ene be, “Ame siwo ɖea gbeƒã nyanyui la ƒe afɔwo nya kpɔna loo!”
And how will they proclaim unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who proclaim the Good News of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!”
But they didn’t all listen to the glad news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”
So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 Ke mele biabiam be: Ɖe womese nya la o mahã?
But I say, didn’t they hear? Yes, most certainly, “Their sound went out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”
19 Megale biabiam ake be: Ɖe Israeltɔwo mese nya la gɔme oa? Mosee nye ame gbãtɔ gblɔ be, “Mana miaʋã ŋu ɖe dukɔ si menye dukɔ o la ŋu; eye mana miado dɔmedzoe ɖe dukɔ si mesea nu gɔme o la ŋu.”
But I ask, didn’t Israel know? First Moses says, “I will provoke you to jealousy with that which is no nation. I will make you angry with a nation void of understanding.”
Isaiah is very bold and says, “I was found by those who didn’t seek me. I was revealed to those who didn’t ask for me.”
21 Ke le Israel ŋuti la, egblɔ bena, “Ŋkeke blibo la katã mekeke nye abɔwo na dukɔ si meɖoa to o la, ke wole ɖeklemiɖeɖe dzi, eye wogbea vava.”
But about Israel he says, “All day long I stretched out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”
