Then a great portent was seen in the heavens – a woman whose robe was the sun, and who had the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.
2 Fu nɔ eƒo, eye wònɔ ɣli dom esi wònɔ ku lém be yeadzi vi.
She was pregnant; and she is crying out in the pain and agony of childbirth.
3 Emegbe la, dzesi bubu gadze le dziƒo: ʋɔ driba gã dzẽ aɖe si to ta adre, dzo ewo, eye fiakuku adre le tawo nɛ la va do.
Another portent also was seen in the heavens There was a great red Dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven diadems.
4 Eƒe asike kplɔ ɣletivi siwo le dziŋgɔli ŋu la ƒe mama etɔ̃ ƒe ɖeka, eye wòhe wo ƒu gbe ɖe anyigba. Ʋɔ driba la nɔ tsitre ɖe nyɔnu si nɔ ku lém la ŋkume, eye wòle klalo be yeavuvu vidzĩ si nyɔnu la adzi la.
His tail draws after it a third of the stars in the heavens, and it hurled them down on the earth. The Dragon is standing in front of the woman who is about to give birth to the child, so that he may devour it as soon as it is born.
The woman gave birth to a son, a male child, who is destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod; and her child was at once caught up to God on his throne.
6 Emegbe la, nyɔnu la si yi gbedzi le teƒe si Mawu dzra ɖo ɖi nɛ, afi si woakpɔ eta le hena ŋkeke akpe ɖeka alafa eve blaade.
But the woman fled into the wilderness, where there is a place prepared for her by God, to be tended there for twelve hundred and sixty days.
7 Eye aʋa dzɔ le dziƒo. Maikel kple eƒe mawudɔlawo wɔ aʋa kple ʋɔ driba la, eye ʋɔ driba la kple eƒe dɔlawo hã wɔ aʋa kpli wo.
Then a battle took place in the heavens. Michael and his angels fought with the Dragon. But though the Dragon, with his angels, fought,
8 Ke ʋɔ driba la ƒe ŋusẽ metri akɔ o, ale wobu woƒe nɔƒe le dziƒo.
he did not prevail; and there was no place left for them any longer in the heavens.
9 Wotsɔ ʋɔ driba gã la, da xoxo si woyɔna be gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃ alo Abosam, ame si kplɔ xexea me katã trae la ƒu gbe. Wotsɔ eya ŋutɔ kple eƒe dɔlawo ƒu gbe ɖe anyigba.
Then the great Dragon, the primeval snake, known as the ‘devil’ and ‘Satan,’ who deceives all the world, was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him.
10 Tete mese gbe sesẽ aɖe tso dziƒo le gbɔgblɔm be, “Azɔ ko míaƒe Mawu la ƒe ɖeɖe, ŋusẽ kple fiaɖuƒe la kple eƒe Kristo ƒe dziɖuɖu ƒe ŋusẽ la va ɖo, elabena wotsɔ mía nɔviawo nu tsola, ame si nɔa wo nu tsom zã kple keli le Mawu ŋkume la ƒu gbe ɖe anyigba.
And I heard a loud voice in heaven which said – ‘Now has begun the day of the salvation, and Power, and Dominion of our God, and the Rule of his Christ; for the Accuser of our people has been hurled down, he who has been accusing them before our God day and night.
11 Woɖu edzi to Alẽvi la ƒe ʋu kple woƒe ɖaseɖiɖi me. Womelɔ̃ woƒe agbe nenema gbegbe be woayi sisi ge le ku nu o,
Their victory was due to the blood of the Lamb, and to the message to which they bore their testimony. In their love of life they shrank not from death.

Therefore, be glad, heaven, and all who live in heaven! Alas for the earth and for the sea, for the devil has gone down to you in great fury, knowing that he has but little time.’
13 Esi ʋɔ driba la kpɔ be wotsɔ ye ƒu gbe ɖe anyigba la, eti nyɔnu si dzi ŋutsuvi la yome.
When the Dragon saw that he was hurled down to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child.
14 Wotsɔ hɔ̃ gã aɖe ƒe aʋala eveawo na nyɔnu la, ale be wòate ŋu adzo ayi ɖe teƒe si wodzra ɖo ɖi nɛ le gbedzi, afi si woakpɔ eta le hena ɣeyiɣi aɖe, ɣeyiɣiwo kple ɣeyiɣi afã le afi si ʋɔ driba la mate ŋu ade o la.
But to the woman were given the two wings of the great eagle, so that she might fly to her place in the wilderness, where she is being tended for one year, and for two years, and for half a year in safety from the snake.
15 Tete ʋɔ driba la tu tsi to eƒe nu me, esi ɖuɖu abe tɔsisi ene, ne wòaɖɔ alé nyɔnu la, eye tɔsisi la nakplɔe adzoe.
Then the snake poured water from its mouth after the woman, like a river, so that it might sweep her away.
16 Ke anyigba la kpe ɖe nyɔnu la ŋu esi wòke eƒe nu hemi tɔsisi si ʋɔ driba la tu to eƒe nu me la.
But Earth came to her help, and opened her mouth and drank up the river which the Dragon had poured out of its mouth.
17 Dzi ku ʋɔ driba la vevie ɖe nyɔnu la ŋu, eye wòyi be yeaɖawɔ aʋa kple eƒe dzidzimevi mamlɛawo, ame siwo ɖoa to Mawu kple eƒe sededewo, eye wolé Yesu ƒe ɖaseɖiɖi me ɖe asi sesĩe la.
The Dragon was enraged at the woman, and went to fight with the rest of her offspring – those who lay to heart the commands of God and bear their testimony to Jesus;
