And I saw another, a mighty messenger, descending out of heaven, —arrayed with a cloud, and, the rainbow, was upon his head, and, his face, was as the sun, and, his feet, were as pillars of fire,
2 Elé agbalẽ sue aɖe ɖe asi, esi le ʋuʋu le eƒe asiƒome. Etsɔ eƒe ɖusifɔ da ɖe atsiaƒu me, tsɔ eƒe miafɔ da ɖe anyigba dzi,
and [he was] holding in his hand a little scroll, opened; and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left upon the land,
3 eye wòdo ɣli sesẽ aɖe abe dzata ƒe gbeɖeɖe ene. Esi wòdo ɣlia la, dziɖegbe adreawo ƒe gbe ɖi.
and cried out with a loud voice, just as a lion, roareth. And, when he cried out, the seven thunders uttered their own voices.
4 Esi dziɖegbe adreawo ƒo nu la, menɔ klalo be maŋlɔ nu, gake mese gbe aɖe tso dziƒo gblɔ nam be, “Tre nu si dziɖegbe adreawo gblɔ la nu, eye mègaŋlɔe da ɖi o.”
And, when the seven thunders had spoken, I was about to write, and I heard a voice out of heaven, saying—Seal up the things which the seven thunders have uttered, and do not write, them.
5 Ke mawudɔla si mekpɔ wònɔ tsitre ɖe atsiaƒu me kple anyigba dzi la do eƒe ɖusibɔ ɖe dziƒo,
And, the messenger, whom I saw standing upon the sea and upon the land, lifted up his right hand unto heaven,
6 eye wòyɔ eya ame si nɔ agbe tegbetegbe, ame si wɔ dziƒowo kple nu siwo katã le wo me, anyigba kple nu siwo le edzi kple atsiaƒu kple nu siwo katã le eme la ƒe ŋkɔ heka atam be, “Heheɖemegbe aɖeke maganɔ anyi o! (aiōn g165)
and sware, by him that liveth unto the ages of ages, who created heaven, and the things that are therein, and the earth, and the things that are therein, [and the sea, and the things that are therein, ] Delay, no longer, shall there be; (aiōn g165)
but, in the days of the sounding of the seventh messenger, as soon as he is about to blow his trumpet, then shall have been completed the sacred secret of God as he told the good-news unto his own servants the prophets.
8 Esi gbe si mese tso dziƒo gaƒo nu nam la, egblɔ nam be, “Heyi nàxɔ agbalẽ si le ʋuʋu le mawudɔla si le tsitre ɖe atsiaƒu me kple anyigba dzi la ƒe asi me.”
And, the voice which I had heard out of heaven, [I] again [heard] talking with me; and saying—Go take the opened scroll, that is in the hand of the messenger who is standing upon the sea and upon the land.
9 Ale meyi ɖe mawudɔla la gbɔ, eye mebiae be wòatsɔ agbalẽ sue la nam. Egblɔ nam be, “Xɔe, eye nàɖui. Atrɔ azu nu veve le wò dɔ me, gake le wò nu me ya la, avivi abe anyitsi ene.”
And I went away unto the messenger, asking him to give me the little scroll; and he saith unto me—Take it, and eat it up; and it shall embitter thy belly, but, in thy mouth, shall be sweet as honey.
10 Mexɔ agbalẽ sue la le mawudɔla la si, eye meɖui. Evivi le nye nu me abe anyitsi ene, ke esi meɖui vɔ la, etrɔ zu nu veve le nye dɔ me.
And I took the little scroll out of the hand of the messenger, and did eat it up; and it was, in my mouth, as honey, sweet, and, when I had eaten it, embittered was my belly.
11 Eyi edzi gblɔ nam be, “Ele na wò be nàgagblɔ nya ɖi tso ame geɖewo, dukɔwo, gbegbɔgblɔwo kple fiawo ŋuti.”
And they say unto me—It behoveth thee again to prophesy against peoples and nations and tongues, and many kings.
