< Psalmowo 94 >
1 O! Yehowa, Mawu si biaa hlɔ̃, O! Mawu si biaa hlɔ̃, klẽ.
Lord, God of vengeance, God of vengeance, shine forth.
2 Tso, o xexea me ƒe Ʋɔnudrɔ̃la, ɖo nu si dadalawo wɔ la teƒe na wo.
Rise up, judge of the earth, pay back the proud what they deserve.
3 O! Yehowa, va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣi ame vɔ̃ɖi la atso aseye?
Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked exult,
4 Wole nya tovowo gblɔm, eye dada yɔ ame vɔ̃ɖiwo katã me fũu.
with their blustering arrogant words, their braggart and wicked speech,
5 O! Yehowa, wogbã wò dukɔ la nyanyanya, wote wò domenyinu la ɖe to.
crushing your people, Lord, and afflicting your heritage,
6 Wowu ahosiwo kple amedzrowo, eye wowu tsyɔ̃eviwo hã.
murdering widows and strangers, slaying the fatherless?
7 Wogblɔ be, “Yehowa mele ekpɔm o, Yakob ƒe Mawu la metsɔ ɖeke le eme o.”
They think that the Lord does not see, nor the God of Jacob regard it.
8 Mikpɔ nyuie, mi gegeme siwo le dukɔ la me, mi bometsilawo, ɣe ka ɣi miadze nunya?
Take heed, you dullest of people; when will you be wise, you fools?
9 Ɖe eya ame si wɔ to la mase nu oa? Ɖe eya ame si wɔ ŋku la makpɔ nu oa?
Is he deaf, who shaped the ear? Is he blind, who fashioned the eye?
10 Ɖe eya ame si hea to na dukɔwo la mahe to oa? Ɖe eya ame si fiaa nu ame la, ahiã na nunya?
Can he who trains nations not punish them he who teaches knowledge to people?
11 Yehowa nya amegbetɔ ƒe susu, eye wònya be tofloko ko wònye.
The Lord knows the thoughts of people, that only a breath are they.
12 O, Yehowa, woayra ame si nèhe to na, ame si nèfia nui tso wò se la me,
Happy are those whom you chasten, and teach out of your law,
13 eye nèna gbɔdzɔe tso dzɔgbevɔ̃eŋkekewo me, va se ɖe esime wòɖe ʋe na ame vɔ̃ɖiwo.
keeping them calm in the day of misfortune, till a pit be dug for the wicked.
14 Elabena Yehowa magbe eƒe dukɔ la o, eye magblẽ eƒe domenyinu ɖi o.
For the Lord will not leave his people, he will not forsake his inheritance.
15 Woagaɖo ʋɔnudɔdrɔ̃ anyi ɖe dzɔdzɔenyenye dzi, eye ame siwo katã ƒe dzi to mɔ ɖeka la adze eyome.
For the righteous shall come to their rights, and all true-hearted people shall follow them.
16 Ame ka atso ɖe ame vɔ̃ɖiwo ŋu nam? Ame ka atsi tsitre ɖe nu tovo wɔlawo ŋu ɖe nunye?
Who will rise up for me against those who do evil? Who will stand up for me against workers of wrong?
17 Ɖe menye Yehowae kpe ɖe ŋunye o la, anye ne eteƒe madidi o la, manɔ ɖoɖoezizi me le tsiẽƒe.
Were it not for the help of the Lord, I would soon have gone to the silent grave.
18 Esi medo ɣli be, “Nye afɔ le ɖiɖim” la, wò lɔlɔ̃, O! Yehowa, de megbe nam.
When I thought that my foot was slipping, your kindness, Lord, held me up.
19 Esi dzitsitsi yɔ menye la, wò akɔfaname he dzidzɔ vɛ na nye luʋɔ.
When with cares my heart was crowded, your comforts make me glad.
20 Ɖe fiazikpui madzɔmadzɔ si hea hiãkame vɛ to eƒe sededewo me la ate ŋu ade ha kpli wòa?
Can corrupt justice be your ally, framing mischief by statute?
21 Wowɔa ɖeka ɖe ame dzɔdzɔewo ŋu, eye wotsoa kufia na ame maɖifɔ.
They assail the life of the righteous, and innocent blood condemn.
22 Gake Yehowae nye nye mɔ sesẽ, nye Mawu kple agakpe si nye nye sitsoƒe.
But the Lord is my sure retreat, my God is the rock of my refuge.
23 Aɖo woƒe nu vɔ̃wo teƒe na wo, eye wòatsrɔ̃ wo le woƒe vɔ̃ɖinyenye ta, ɛ̃, Yehowa, míaƒe Mawu la atsrɔ̃ wo.
He will bring back their sin upon them, for their wickedness he will destroy them; the Lord our God will destroy them.
