< Psalmowo 9 >
1 David ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. Woadzii ɖe “ŋutsuvi la ƒe ku” ƒe gbeɖiɖi nu. Makafu wò, O! Yehowa, kple nye dzi blibo, maɖe wò nukunuwɔwɔwo katã afia.
Yahweh, I will praise you with all of my inner being. I will tell [others] about all the wonderful things that you have done.
2 Dzi adzɔm, eye matso aseye le mewò; O Dziƒoʋĩtɔ, madzi kafukafuhawo na wò ŋkɔ.
I will sing to celebrate what you [MTY], who are much greater than all other gods, [have done].
3 Nye futɔwo trɔ megbe; wokli nu, eye wo katã wotsrɔ̃ le ŋkuwò me.
When my enemies realize [that you are very powerful], they stumble, and then they are killed.
4 Elabena wòe xɔ nye nya, eye nèɖe nye dzɔdzɔenyenye ɖe go. Ènɔ wò fiazikpui dzi, eye nèdrɔ̃ ʋɔnu dzɔdzɔe.
You sat on your throne to judge people, and you have judged fairly/justly concerning me.
5 Èka mo na dukɔwo, eye nètsrɔ̃ ame vɔ̃ɖiwo hetutu woƒe ŋkɔwo ɖa tso mavɔ me yi ɖe mavɔ me.
You rebuked the [people of other] nations and you have gotten rid of the wicked people; you have erased their names forever.
6 Tsɔtsrɔ̃ mavɔ va futɔ la dzi, elabena èho woƒe duwo, eye womagaɖo ŋku wo dzi gɔ̃ hã akpɔ gbeɖe o.
Our enemies have disappeared; you destroyed their cities, and people do not even remember them any more.
7 Yehowa aɖu fia tegbetegbe; eɖo eƒe fiazikpui anyi hena ʋɔnudɔdrɔ̃.
But Yahweh rules forever. He judges [people while he sits] on his throne to judge people,
8 Adrɔ̃ ʋɔnu xexea me le dzɔdzɔenyenye me; akplɔ dukɔwo katã le nuteƒewɔwɔ me.
and he will judge [all the people in] [SYN] the world justly; he will judge the people [of all nations] fairly [DOU].
9 Yehowa nye sitsoƒe na ame siwo wote ɖe anyi kple mɔ sesẽ le xaxaɣiwo.
Yahweh will be a refuge for those who are oppressed; [yes, he will be like] a shelter for them when they have trouble.
10 Ame siwo nya wò ŋkɔ la aɖo dzi ɖe ŋuwò, elabena wò Yehowa, megble ame siwo dia wò la ɖi kpɔ o.
Those who know Yahweh [MTY] trust in him; he never abandons those who come to him ([for help/to worship him]).
11 Midzi kafukafuhawo na Yehowa, ame si nɔ fiazikpui dzi gli le Zion, miɖe gbeƒã nu siwo wòwɔ la le dukɔwo dome.
Yahweh rules from Zion [Hill]; praise him while you sing to him. Tell [the people of all] the nations the [marvelous] things that he has done.
12 Elabena eya, ame si biaa hlɔ̃ hlɔ̃dolawo la, ɖoa ŋku edzi, medoa toku hiãtɔwo ƒe ɣlidodo o.
He does not forget [to punish] those who have murdered others; and he will not ignore people who are crying because they are suffering.
13 O Yehowa, kpɔ ale si nye futɔwo le yonyeme tim ɖa! Kpɔ nye nublanui, eye nàkɔm tso ku ƒe agbowo me,
Yahweh, be merciful to me! Look at the ways that my enemies have injured me. Do not allow me to die [because of these injuries].
14 be maɖe wò kafukafu afia le Zion Vinyɔnu ƒe agbowo me, eye le afi ma matso aseye le ɖeɖe si nènam la ta.
I want to live in order that I can praise you at the gates of Jerusalem [MTY] and to rejoice because you rescued me.
15 Dukɔwo ge dze do si woawo ŋutɔ woɖe la me; woƒe afɔwo ɖo ɖɔ si woawo ŋutɔ woɖo ɖi le bebeme la me.
[It is as though] the [wicked people of many] nations have dug a pit for me to fall into [MET], but they have fallen into that same pit. [It is as if] they spread out a net to catch me [MET], but their feet have been caught in that same net.
16 Yehowa ɖe eɖokui fia to eƒe ʋɔnu dzɔdzɔe dɔdrɔ̃ me; ame vɔ̃ɖiwo ƒe asinudɔwɔwɔwo atsɔ wo ade mɔ me. Ŋugbledede. (Sela)
Because of what you have done, people know that you decide matters [fairly/justly], but [you allow] wicked people to be trapped by the same evil things that they themselves do.
17 Ame vɔ̃ɖiwo gbugbɔ yi yɔ me, nenema kee nye dukɔ siwo ŋlɔ Mawu be. (Sheol )
Wicked people will all [die and] be buried in their graves, and [their spirits] will go to be with all those who have (forgotten about/rejected) you. (Sheol )
18 Ke womaŋlɔ hiãtɔ be ɖikaa alo ame si le fu kpem la, mɔkpɔkpɔ nabu ɖee o.
But you will not forget those who are needy/poor; what they confidently expect will certainly happen.
19 Tso, O Yehowa! Mègana amegbetɔ naɖu dzi o, na woadrɔ̃ ʋɔnu dukɔwo le ŋkuwò me.
Yahweh, arise and judge the [wicked] people of the nations; do not allow them to think that [because they are strong] they will never be punished.
20 O! Yehowa, ƒo wo ƒu anyi kple ŋɔdzi; na dukɔwo nanya be amegbetɔwo yewonye. (Sela)
Yahweh, teach them to be terrified about you. Cause them to know that they are merely human beings.
