1 Ezrahitɔ Etan ƒe nufiameha. Madzi ha le Mawu ƒe lɔlɔ̃ gã la ŋu ɖaa, matsɔ nye nu aɖe gbeƒã wò nuteƒewɔwɔ tso dzidzime yi dzidzime.
A Maskil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing evermore of the love of the Lord, proclaiming to all generations his faithfulness.
2 Maɖe gbeƒã be wò lɔlɔ̃ li ke tegbee, eye nèɖo wò nuteƒewɔwɔ anyi ɖe dziƒo ŋutɔŋutɔ.
For your love you did promise to build up forever, your faithfulness firm as the heavens themselves.
3 Ègblɔ be, “Mebla nu kple nye ame tiatia, meka atam na David, nye dɔla be,
“I have made with my chosen a covenant, and sworn to David my servant,
4 ‘Maɖo wò ƒome anyi tegbee, eye mana wò fiazikpui nali ke na dzidzimewo katã.’” (Sela)
to establish his seed forever, and to build up his throne to all ages.” (Selah)
5 O! Yehowa, dziƒowo le wò nukunuwo kafum, kple wò nuteƒewɔwɔ hã le ame kɔkɔewo ƒe hame.
Then the holy assembly in heaven praised your marvelous faithfulness, Lord.
6 Elabena ame kae le dziŋgɔli me si woatsɔ asɔ kple Yehowa? Le nu gbagbe siwo le dziƒo dome la, kae le abe Yehowa ene?
For who in the skies may compare with the Lord? Who is like the Lord among the gods?
7 Le ame kɔkɔewo ƒe adaŋudeha me la ŋɔdzi le Mawu ŋu ŋutɔ, ŋɔdzi le eŋu wu ame siwo katã ƒo xlãe.
A God to be feared in the holy assembly, awful and great above all who are round him.
8 O! Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Mawu, ame kae ɖi wò? O! Yehowa, wò la, ŋusẽtɔe nènye, eye wò nuteƒewɔwɔ ƒo xlã wò.
O Lord God of hosts, who is mighty as you? Your strength and faithfulness, Lord, surround you.
9 Wòe ɖu atsiaƒu ƒe agbodzedze dzi, ne ƒutsotsoewo le dzi dem la, ènana wodzea akɔ anyi.
You are the Lord of the raging sea: when its waves surge, it is you who still them.
10 Ègbã Rahab gudugudu abe ame siwo wowu la dometɔ ɖeka ene, eye nètsɔ wò abɔ sesẽ kaka wò futɔwo.
It was you who did pierce and crush Rahab in pieces, and scatter your foes by your mighty arm.
11 Dziƒowo nye tɔwò, anyigba hã tɔwòe; wòe wɔ xexea me kple emenuwo katã.
Yours are the heavens, yours also the earth, the world and its fulness, it’s you who did found them.
12 Wòe wɔ anyiehe kple dziehe; ne Tabɔr kple Hermon se wò ŋkɔ ko la, wodzia ha, tsoa aseye.
The north and the south, it’s you have created them; Tabor and Hermon shout praise to your name.
13 Wotsɔ ŋusẽ de wò abɔ me, eye wò asi sesẽ, wò nuɖusi de dzi.
You have an arm with the might of a hero; strong is your hand, high uplifted your right hand.
14 Woli wò fiazikpui anyi ɖe dzɔdzɔenyenye kple ʋɔnudɔdrɔ̃ dzi, eye lɔlɔ̃ kple nuteƒewɔwɔ le zɔzɔm le ŋgɔwò.
Justice and right are the base of your throne, kindness and faithfulness ever attend you.
15 Woayra ame siwo srɔ̃ ale si woakafu wòe, eye wozɔna le wò mo ƒe kekeli me, O Yehowa.
Happy the people who know the glad shout, who walk, O Lord, in the light of your face.
16 Wotsoa aseye le wò ŋkɔ me ŋkeke blibo la, eye wokpɔa dodoɖedzi le wò dzɔdzɔenyenye me.
They exult in your name all the day, and your righteousness they extol.
17 Elabena wòe nye woƒe ŋutikɔkɔe kple ŋusẽ, eye to wò amenuveve me, nèkɔ míaƒe dzo ɖe dzi.
For you are our strength and our pride. Your favor will lift us to honor.
18 Vavã, míaƒe akpoxɔnu nye Yehowa tɔ, miaƒe fia nye Israel ƒe Kɔkɔetɔ la.
For the holy Lord of Israel keeps our defender and king.
19 Ɣe aɖe ɣi la, èƒo nu na wò ame kɔkɔewo le ŋutega me be, “Metrɔ ŋusẽ kɔ ɖe kalẽtɔ aɖe dzi; medo ɖekakpui aɖe ɖe dzi le nye amewo dome.
In a vision of old you did speak in this way to the one whom you loved: “A crown I have set on the hero I chose to be over the people
20 Meke ɖe David, nye dɔla ŋu, eye mesi ami nɛ kple nye ami kɔkɔe.
“I found my servant David, and anointed with holy oil.
21 Nye asi alée ɖe asi, le nyateƒe me, nye alɔ ado ŋusẽe.
My hand will be with him forever, my arm will give him strength.
22 Futɔ aɖeke mazi edzi wòadzɔ ga nɛ o, eye ame vɔ̃ɖi aɖeke matee ɖe to o.
“No enemy will dare to assail him, nor the wicked to oppress him;
23 Mafanya eƒe futɔwo le eŋgɔ, eye maƒo ame siwo tso ɖe eŋu la aƒu anyi.
but his foes I will shatter before him, I will strike down those who hate him.
24 Nye lɔlɔ̃ si meʋãna o la anɔ anyi kplii, eye woakɔ eƒe dzo ɖe dzi to nye ŋkɔ dzi.
“My loyal love shall attend him, and I will lift him to honor.
25 Makɔ eƒe asi dzi ɖe atsiaƒu dzi, eye eƒe nuɖusi ɖe tɔsisiwo dzi.
I will set his hand on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers.
26 Ayɔm be, ‘Wòe nye Fofonye, nye Mawu, nye Agakpe kple Ɖela.’
“As for him, he will call me ‘My father, my God, and my rock of salvation.’
27 Matsɔe awɔ nye ŋgɔgbevi kple fia si wodo ɖe dzi wu le anyigbadzifiawo katã dome.
And I will make him my firstborn, highest of kings on the earth.
28 Malé nye lɔlɔ̃ nɛ me ɖe asi ɖaa, eye nye nubabla kplii mada le edzi akpɔ gbeɖe o.
“My love will I keep for him ever, my covenant with him shall stand fast.
29 Maɖo eƒe ƒome anyi tegbee, eye zi ale si dziƒo li la, nenema ke eƒe fiazikpui hã anɔ anyii.
His line will I make everlasting, and his throne as the days of the heavens.
30 “Ne viawo gblẽ nye sewo ɖi, eye womewɔ nye ɖoɖowo dzi o,
“If his children forsake my law, and walk not as I have ordained;
31 ne woda le nye sedede dzi, eye wogbe nye gbeɖeɖewo dzi wɔwɔ la,
if they profane my statutes, and do not keep my commandments;
32 ekema matsɔ ati ahe to na woe ɖe woƒe nu vɔ̃wo ta, eye matsɔ ƒoƒo ahe to na wo ɖe woƒe vodadawo ta,
“I will punish their sin with the rod, their iniquity with scourges.
33 gake nyemaxɔ nye lɔlɔ̃ le esi, alo ada le nye nuteƒewɔwɔ dzi o.
But my love will I not take from him, nor will I belie my faithfulness.
34 Nyemagbe nye nubabla la dzi wɔwɔ o, eye nyematrɔ nu si nye nu gblɔ la o.
“I will not profane my covenant by changing the word that has passed my lips.
35 Meta nye kɔkɔenyenye zi ɖeka hena ɣeyiɣiwo katã be, nyemada alakpa na David o.
Once have I solemnly sworn and I would not lie to David,
36 Ke boŋ eƒe ƒome anɔ anyi tegbee, eye eƒe fiazikpui ali ke le nye ŋkume abe ɣe ene.
“that his line should endure forever, and his throne as the sun before me,
37 Woaɖoe anyi ɖaa abe ɣleti, ɖasefo nuteƒewɔla si le dziŋgɔli ŋu ene.” (Sela)
firm as the moon which for ever and ever is fixed in the sky.” (Selah)
38 Gake ègbe, èdo vlo, eye nèdo dɔmedzoe ɖe wò amesiamina ŋu vevie.
But you have cast off in contempt, and been furious with your anointed.
39 Ète fli ɖe nu si nèbla kple wò dɔla me, eye nèdo gu eƒe fiakuku, tsɔe ƒu gbe ɖe ke me.
You have spurned the covenant with your servant, and his sacred crown dashed to the ground.
40 Ègbã eƒe gliwo, eye nèwɔ eƒe mɔ sesẽwo wozu aƒedo.
You have broken down all his walls, and laid his bulwarks in ruins.
41 Ame siwo katã to afi ma la hae, eye wòzu alɔmeɖenu na eƒe aƒelikawo.
All who pass on their way despoil him, the scorn of his neighbors is he now.
42 Èdo eƒe futɔwo ƒe nuɖusi ɖe dzi, eye nèna eƒe ketɔwo katã tso aseye.
You have given his foes the victory, and made all his enemies glad.
43 Èna eƒe yi nu tsi, eye mèkpe ɖe eŋu le aʋawɔwɔ me o.
You have turned back his sword from the foe, you did not lift him up in the battle.
44 Èna eƒe ŋutikɔkɔe wu enu, eye nètsɔ eƒe fiazikpui ƒu gbe ɖe anyigba.
The sceptre you took from his hand, and his throne you did hurl to the ground.
45 Èɖe eƒe ɖekakpuimeŋkekewo dzi kpɔtɔ, eye nètsɔ ŋukpe tsyɔ nɛ abe avɔ ene. (Sela)
You have shortened the days of his youth, and covered him with shame. (Selah)
46 O! Yehowa va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣie? Ɖe nàɣla ɖokuiwò tegbea? Ɣe ka ɣi wò dziku abi abe dzo ene ase ɖo?
How long, Lord will you hide you forever? How long are the fires of your wrath to burn?
47 Ɖo ŋku ale si nye agbe le du dzii la dzi. Tofloko kae nye si, nèwɔ amegbetɔviwo na!
Remember, Lord, the shortness of life how fleeting you made all people.
48 Amegbetɔ kae anɔ agbe, eye maku o, alo aɖe eɖokui tso tsiẽƒe ƒe ŋusẽ me? (Sela) (Sheol )
Who can live without seeing death? Who can rescue their life from the clutch of Sheol? (Selah) (Sheol )
49 O! Aƒetɔ, afi ka wò lɔlɔ̃ gã tsãtɔ le, wò lɔlɔ̃ si nye atam nèka na David le wò nuteƒewɔwɔ me la le?
Where, Lord, is your kindness of old, which you in your faithfulness swore to David?
50 Aƒetɔ, ɖo ŋku ale si woɖu fewu le wò dɔla ŋuti kple ale si nye dzi tsɔ dukɔwo ƒe vlodoame la dzi.
Remember, O Lord, how your servants are mocked, how I bear in my heart the scorn of all nations
51 O! Yehowa, ɖo ŋku vlodoame si wò futɔwo tsɔ le alɔme ɖem le wò amesiamina ƒe afɔɖeɖe ɖe sia ɖe ŋuti la dzi.
The scorn which your enemies hurl, O Lord, which they hurl at the footsteps of your anointed.
52 Woakafu Yehowa tegbetegbee!
Blest be the Lord, for ever and ever. Amen and Amen.
