For the choirmaster. According to Gittith. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. How lovely is Your dwelling place, O LORD of Hosts!
2 Yehowa, wò xɔxɔnuwo le nye luʋɔ dzrom kutɔkutɔe. Nye dzi kple ŋutilã le vivi dom ɖe Mawu gbagbe la ŋu.
My soul longs, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
3 O! Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ, Fianye kple Mawunye, sagbadre gɔ̃ hã kpɔ nɔƒe, eye atsutsrɔe wɔ atɔ na eɖokui, afi si wòatsɔ viawo ada ɖo, be wòate ɖe wò vɔsamlekpui la ŋu.
Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she places her young near Your altars, O LORD of Hosts, my King and my God.
4 Woayra ame siwo nɔa wò aƒe me la, elabena wole kafuwòm ɖaa. (Sela)
How blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are ever praising You.
5 Woayra ame siwo ƒe ŋusẽ le mewò, ame siwo ƒe dzi ku ɖe xɔsemɔzɔzɔ ŋuti.
Blessed are those whose strength is in You, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
6 Ne woto Baka Balime la, wowɔnɛ wòzua tsidzɔƒewo, eye kelemetsi tsyɔa edzi kple yayra.
As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; even the autumn rain covers it with pools.
7 Wole azɔli dzi tso ŋusẽ me yi ŋusẽ me va se ɖe esime wo dometɔ ɖe sia ɖe nado ɖe Mawu ŋkume le Zion.
They go from strength to strength, until each appears before God in Zion.
8 Yehowa, Mawu Ŋusẽkatãtɔ; O! Yakob ƒe Mawu, ɖo to nye gbedodoɖa. (Sela)
O LORD God of Hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob.
9 O! Mawu, nye kɔ nàkpɔ míaƒe akpoxɔnu, eye nakpɔ wò amesiamina la kple amenuveve.
Take notice of our shield, O God, and look with favor on the face of Your anointed.
10 Ŋkeke ɖeka le wò xɔxɔnu nyo wu akpe le afi aɖe; enyo be manye agbonudzɔla le Mawu ƒe aƒe me wu be manɔ ame vɔ̃ɖi ƒe agbadɔ me,
For better is one day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
11 elabena Yehowa Mawue nye ɣe kple akpoxɔnu. Yehowae naa amenuveve kple bubu, eye metea nu nyui ame siwo fɔɖiɖi mele woƒe zɔzɔme ŋu o.
For the LORD God is a sun and a shield; the LORD gives grace and glory; He withholds no good thing from those who walk with integrity.
12 O! Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ, woayra ŋutsu si ɖoa dzi ɖe ŋuwò la.
O LORD of Hosts, how blessed is the man who trusts in You!
