< Psalmowo 83 >
1 Asaf ƒe ha. O! Mawu, mègazi kpi o, O! Mawu, mègazi ɖoɖoe o, mèganɔ anyi kpoo o.
A Song of a Psalm for Asaph. O God, who shall be compared to you? be not silent, neither be still, O God.
2 Kpɔ ale si wò futɔwo le nyanyram ɖa, kpɔ ale si wò ketɔwo kɔ ta dzii ɖa.
For behold, your enemies have made a noise; and they that hate you have lifted up the head.
3 Wole nu baɖa ɖom ɖe wò dukɔ ŋu le ayeme, eye woɖo nugbe ɖe ame siwo nèlɔ̃na la ŋu.
Against your people they have craftily imagined a device, and have taken counsel against your saints.
4 Wogblɔ be, “Miva, míatsrɔ̃ wo, be womaganye dukɔ o, eye womagaɖo ŋku Israel ƒe ŋkɔ dzi akpɔ gbeɖe o.”
They have said, Come, and let us utterly destroy them out of the nation; and let the name of Israel be remembered no more at all.
5 Wotsɔ tameɖoɖo ɖeka de adaŋu, eye wobla ɖe ŋuwò,
For they have taken counsel together with one consent: they have made a confederacy against you;
6 ame siwo le Edom ƒe agbadɔwo me, Ismaelitɔwo, Moabtɔwo, Hagritɔwo,
even the tents of the Idumeans, and the Ismaelites; Moab, and the Agarenes;
7 Gebalitɔwo, Amonviwo, Amalekitɔwo, Filistitɔwo kple ame siwo tso Tiro.
Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalec; the Philistines also, with them that dwell at Tyre.
8 Asiria gɔ̃ hã kpe ɖe wo ŋu, be wòado alɔ Lot ƒe dzidzimeviwo. (Sela)
Yes, Assur too is come with them: they have become a help to the children of Lot. (Pause)
9 Wɔ wo abe ale si nèwɔ Midian, Sisera kple Yabin le Kison tɔsisi la to ene,
Do you to them as to Madiam, and to Sisera; as to Jabin at the brook of Kison.
10 ame siwo tsrɔ̃ le Endor, eye wole abe gbeɖuɖɔ ene le anyigba.
They were utterly destroyed at Aendor: they became as dung for the earth.
11 Wɔ woƒe bubumewo abe Oreb kple Zeb ene, eye woƒe dumegãwo abe Zeba kple Zalmuna ene,
Make their princes as Oreb and Zeb, and Zebee and Salmana; [even] all their princes:
12 ame siwo gblɔ be, “Mina míaxɔ Mawu ƒe lãnyiƒewo.”
who said, let us take to ourselves the altar of God as an inheritance.
13 O! Nye Mawu, wɔ wo abe betsyo kple blitsa si ya lɔ ɖe nu ene.
O my God, make them as a wheel; as stubble before the face of the wind.
14 Abe ale si dzo biaa ave, alo dzo ƒe aɖe tɔa dzo towo ene la,
As fire which shall burn up a wood, as the flame may consume the mountains;
15 nenemae nàti wo yomee kple wò ya sesẽ, eye nàdo ŋɔdzi na wo kple wò ahom.
so shall you persecute them with your tempest, and trouble them in your anger.
16 Tsɔ ŋukpe tsyɔ mo na wo, ale be amewo nadi wò ŋkɔ, O Yehowa.
Fill their faces with dishonour; so shall they seek your name, O Lord.
17 Na ŋukpe nalé wo, woƒe mo natsi dãa, eye wonetsrɔ̃ le ŋukpe me.
Let them be ashamed and troubled for evermore; yes, let them be confounded and destroyed.
18 Na woanya be wò, ame si ŋkɔe nye Yehowa la, wò koe nye Dziƒoʋĩtɔ la ɖe anyigba blibo la dzi.
And let them know that your name is Lord; that you alone are Most High over all the earth.
