1 Asaf ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. Woadzii ɖe “Nubabla ƒe Dzogbenya” ƒe gbeɖiɖi nu. O, Israel ƒe Kplɔla, ɖo to mí, wò ame si kplɔ Yosef ƒe dzidzimeviwo abe lãha ene; wò ame si nɔ anyi ɖe kerubiwo titina gli, klẽ
TO THE OVERSEER. [SET] TO “LILIES OF TESTIMONY.” A PSALM OF ASAPH. Shepherd of Israel, give ear, Leading Joseph as a flock, Inhabiting the cherubim—shine forth,
2 le Efraim, Benyamin kple Manase ŋgɔ. Nyɔ wò ŋusẽ, va nàxɔ na mí.
Before Ephraim, and Benjamin, and Manasseh, Wake up Your might, and come for our salvation.
3 O! Mawu, gaɖo mí te; na wò mo naklẽ ɖe mía dzi, be míakpɔ xɔxɔ.
O God, cause us to turn back, And cause Your face to shine, and we are saved.
4 O! Yehowa, Mawu Ŋusẽkatãtɔ, va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣi wò dɔmedzoe abi ɖe wò dukɔ ƒe gbedodoɖa ŋu?
YHWH, God of Hosts, until when? You have burned against the prayer of Your people.
5 Èna aɖatsibolo wo woɖu, eye nèna aɖatsi wo wono taŋtaŋ.
You have caused them to eat bread of tears, And cause them to drink With tears a third time.
6 Ètsɔ mí wɔ dzrewɔnui na míaƒe aƒelikawo, eye míaƒe futɔwo ɖe alɔme le mía ŋu.
You make us a strife to our neighbors, And our enemies mock at it.
7 O! Mawu, Ŋusẽkatãtɔ, gaɖo mí te; na wò mo naklẽ ɖe mía dzi, be míakpɔ xɔxɔ.
God of Hosts, turn us back, And cause Your face to shine, and we are saved.
8 Ètsɔ wainka tso Egipte, ènya dukɔwo, eye nèdoe.
You bring a vine out of Egypt, You cast out nations, and plant it.
9 Èdzra eŋuti ɖo nyuie, eye wòto ke hevu tsyɔ anyigba.
You have looked before it, and root it, And it fills the land,
10 Edo vɔvɔli ɖe towo tame eye wòɖe alɔ de sedati kɔkɔwo tame.
Hills have been covered [with] its shadow, And its boughs [are] cedars of God.
11 Eɖe alɔ yi ɖe keke ƒuta ke, eye eƒe kewo yi ɖe keke Frat tɔsisi la nu ke.
It sends forth its branches to the sea, And its shoots to the river.
12 Nu ka ŋuti nègbã kpɔ le eŋu, ale be ame siwo to afi ma yi la fɔ wain tsetsewo?
Why have You broken down its hedges, And everyone passing by the way has plucked it?
13 Gbehawo nya avuzi le edzi, eye gbemelãwo ɖui.
A boar out of the forest tears it, And a wild beast of the fields grazes it.
14 Trɔ va mía gbɔ, O Mawu, Ŋusẽkatãtɔ! Do kɔ ɖa tso dziƒo, eye nàkpɔ nu! Kpɔ wainka sia ta,
God of Hosts, turn back, we implore You, Look from the heavens, and see, and inspect this vine,
15 ke si wò nuɖusi do, viŋutsu si wò ŋutɔ nèhe wòtsi.
And the root that Your right hand planted, And the branch You made strong for Yourself,
16 Wolã wò wainka, wotɔ dzoe, eye wò mokaname na wò amewo tsrɔ̃.
Burned with fire—cut down, They perish from the rebuke of Your face.
17 Wò asi nenɔ ŋutsu si le wò nuɖusime, amegbetɔvi si nènyi na ɖokuiwò la dzi.
Let Your hand be on the man of Your right hand On the son of man You have strengthened for Yourself.
18 Ekema míatrɔ le yowòme o; gbɔ agbe mí, eye míayɔ wò ŋkɔ.
And we do not go back from You, You revive us, and in Your Name we call.
19 O! Yehowa, Mawu Ŋusẽkatãtɔ, gaɖo mí te; na wò mo nàklẽ ɖe mía dzi be míakpɔ xɔxɔ.
O YHWH, God of Hosts, turn us back, Cause Your face to shine, and we are saved!
