< Psalmowo 74 >
1 Asaf ƒe nufiameha. O! Mawu, nu ka ŋuti nègble mí ɖi ɖikaa? Nu ka ta wò dɔmedzoe bi ɖe wò alẽ siwo le wò lãnyiƒe ŋuti?
A psalm (maskil) of Asaph. God, why have you rejected us? Is it forever? Why does your anger burn so hot against the sheep of your own field?
Remember the people you made your own long ago, the tribe you redeemed and made your own. Remember too Mount Zion, the place where you live.
3 Trɔ ɖe gli siwo gbã ɖikaɖika la ŋu, gbegblẽ siawoe futɔ la he va wò teƒe kɔkɔe lae.
Come and walk through the complete devastation. The enemy has totally destroyed your Temple.
4 Wò futɔwo le gbe ɖem le afi si nèdo go mí le; wova tsi woƒe aflaga ɖe teƒe la be wòanye dzesi anɔ afi ma.
The enemy shouted in triumph right where you met with us. There they set up their war banners as signs of their victory.
5 Wole nu wɔm abe ŋutsu siwo lé fia ɖe asi le ave dodowo me be woalã atiwo ene.
They acted like men chopping down a forest with axes.
6 Wotsɔ woƒe fiawo kple yiwo dza aɖaŋu siwo wowɔ ɖe gliawo ŋu.
With axes and hammers they smashed in the carved wooden panels.
7 Wotɔ dzo wò kɔkɔeƒe la wòbi va anyigba, eye wodo gu teƒe si wò Ŋkɔ nɔna.
Then they set fire to your Temple, burning it to the ground. They defiled the place where you live, the place that bears your name.
8 Wogblɔ le woƒe dzi me be, “Míagbã wo gudugudu!”
They said to themselves, “Let's destroy it all!” So they burned down every place where God was worshiped throughout the land.
9 Womegawɔa nukunu aɖeke na mí o; womegblẽ nyagblɔɖila aɖeke ɖi o eye mía dometɔ aɖeke menya ɣeyiɣi si nu sia nu ava yi o.
We no longer see any signs. There are no prophets left. And no one among us knows how long this will last.
10 O! Mawu, ɣe ka ɣi futɔ la aɖu fewu le ŋuwò ase ɖo? Ɖe ketɔ la ado vlo wò ŋkɔ tegbeea?
How long will the enemy ridicule you, God? Will they insult your character forever?
11 Nu ka ta nèhe wò asi, wò nuɖusi ɖe megbe ɖo? Ɖe wò asi doe le wò awu te, eye nàtsrɔ̃ wo!
Why do you hold back from doing something? Take action and destroy them!
12 Ke wò la, O Mawu, wòe nye fianye tso blema ke; wòe tsɔ ɖeɖe va anyigba la dzi.
But you, God, are our king from long ago. You have saved us many times in the land.
13 Wòe tsɔ wò ŋusẽ ma atsiaƒu, eye nègbã tɔmelã dziŋɔwo ƒe ta le tsiwo me.
You were the one who split apart the sea by your strength; you broke the heads of the sea monsters.
14 Wòe gbã Leviatan ƒe ta, eye nètsɔe wɔ nuɖuɖui na gbemelãwo.
You were the one who crushed the heads of Leviathan, and you gave its body to the desert animals to eat.
You were the one who made springs and rivers flow with water. You made permanent rivers dry up.
16 Ŋkeke nye tɔwò, eye zã hã tɔwòe; wòe wɔ ɣe kple ɣleti.
You created the day, and also the night; you made the moon and the sun.
17 Wòe ɖo liƒo na anyigba, eye wòe wɔ vuvɔŋɔli kple dzomeŋɔli.
You set the boundaries of the earth; you made summer and winter.
18 O! Yehowa, ɖo ŋku ale si futɔ la do vlo wò kple ale si bometsilawo ɖe alɔme le wò ŋkɔ ŋuti la dzi.
So keep in mind how the enemy ridiculed you, Lord, and how irreverent people insulted your reputation.
Don't let wild animals kill your turtledoves! Don't abandon your people forever!
Remember your promises in the agreement, because the land is full of dark places and violence.
21 Mègana ame siwo wote ɖe anyi la nate gbugbɔɖemegbe kple ŋukpe o; ke boŋ ame dahewo kple hiãtɔwo nekafu wò ŋkɔ.
Don't let those who suffer be mistreated again. Let the poor and needy praise you for you who are.
Stand up, God, and plead your case. Don't forget how these foolish people insulted you all the time.
23 Mègado toku wò futɔwo ƒe ʋunyaʋunyawɔwɔ, kple wò ketɔwo ƒe howɔwɔ si le dzi dem ɖaa la o.
Don't ignore what your enemies have said, for their loud accusations against you are getting worse and worse!
