< Psalmowo 71 >
1 O! Yehowa, mewòe mebe ɖo, mègana ŋu nakpem akpɔ gbeɖe o.
By David, [a Psalm sung by] the sons of Jonadab, and the first that were taken captive. O Lord, I have hoped in thee: let me never be put to shame.
2 Xɔ nam, eye nàɖem le wò dzɔdzɔenyenye la ta; trɔ wò to ɖe gbɔnye, eye nàxɔ nam.
In thy righteousness deliver me and rescue me: incline thine ear to me, and save me.
3 Nye sitsoƒe ƒe agakpe, afi si mate ŋu abe ɖo ɣe sia ɣi. Ɖe gbe be woaxɔ nam, elabena wòe nye nye agakpe kple mɔ sesẽ.
Be to me a protecting God, and a strong hold to save me: for thou art my fortress and my refuge.
4 O! Nye Mawu, ɖem tso ame vɔ̃ɖiwo ƒe asi me, eye nàɖem tso nu tovo wɔlawo kple ŋutasẽlawo ƒe fego me.
Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the sinner, from the hand of the transgressor and unjust man.
5 Elabena tso ɣe aɖe ɣi ke, wòe nye nye mɔkpɔkpɔ kple nye dzideƒo tso nye ɖekakpuime ke, O! Aƒetɔ Yehowa.
For thou art my support, O Lord; O Lord, [thou art] my hope from my youth.
6 Tso nye dzigbe ke, wò ko ŋu meku ɖo, elabena wòe ɖem tso danye ƒe dɔ me, eya ta makafu wò ɖaa.
On thee have I been stayed from the womb: from the belly of my mother thou art my protector: of thee is my praise continually.
7 Mezu nu maɖinu na ame geɖewo, gake wòe nye nye mɔ sesẽ.
I am become as it were a wonder to many: but thou art [my] strong helper.
8 Wò kafukafu yɔ nye nu me, eye meɖea gbeƒã wò atsyɔ̃ŋkeke blibo la.
Let my mouth be filled with praise, that I may hymn thy glory, [and] thy majesty all the day.
9 Mègatsɔm ƒu gbe, ne meku amegã o, eye mègagblẽm ɖi ne ŋusẽ vɔ le ŋunye o.
Cast me not off at the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength fails.
10 Elabena nye futɔwo ƒo nu tsi tsitre ɖe ŋunye, eye ame siwo le lalam be yewoawum la, wɔ ɖeka ɖo nugbe ɖe ŋunye.
For mine enemies have spoken against me; and they that lay wait for my soul have taken counsel together,
11 Wogblɔ be, “Mawu gblẽe ɖi, míti eyome, míalée, elabena ame aɖeke mava axɔ nɛ o.”
saying, God has forsaken him: persecute ye and take him; for there is none to deliver [him].
12 O! Mawu, mèganɔ adzɔge tso gbɔnye o, O! Nye Mawu, va kaba nàxɔ nam.
O God, go not far from me, O my God, draw nigh to my help.
13 Na be nunyetsolawo natsrɔ̃ kple ŋukpe, eye nàna be vlododo kple ŋukpe natsyɔ ame siwo di be yewoawɔ nuvevim la dzi.
Let those that plot against my soul be ashamed and utterly fail: let those that seek my hurt be clothed with shame and dishonour.
14 Ke nye ya la, mɔkpɔkpɔ anɔ asinye ɖaa, eye makafu wò, agakafu wò ɖe edzi.
But I will hope continually, and will praise thee more and more.
15 Nye nu aɖe gbeƒã wò dzɔdzɔenyenye kple wò xɔname ŋkeke blibo la, togbɔ be nyemenya eƒe kpekpeme o hã.
My mouth shall declare thy righteousness openly, [and] thy salvation all the day; for I am not acquainted with the affairs [of men].
16 Mava aɖe gbeƒã wò nu dzɔatsuwo, O Aƒetɔ Yehowa. Maɖe gbeƒã wò dzɔdzɔenyenye, wò ɖeka tɔ ko.
I will go on in the might of the Lord: O Lord, I will make mention of thy righteousness only.
17 O! Mawu; tso nye ɖekakpuime ke, nèfia num, eye va se ɖe egbe la, mele gbeƒã ɖem wò nu dzɔatsuwo.
O God, thou hast taught me from my youth, and until now will I declare thy wonders;
even until I am old and advanced in years. O God, forsake me not; until I shall have declared thine arm to all the generation that is to come:
19 O! Mawu, wò dzɔdzɔenyenye yi ɖatɔ dziŋgɔli ke, wò ame si wɔ nu dzɔatsu geɖewo. O! Mawu, ame kae le abe wò ene?
even thy power and thy righteousness, O God, up to the highest [heavens, even] the mighty works which thou has done: O God, who is like to thee?
20 Togbɔ be èna mekpɔ xaxa geɖe kple vevesese hã la, àgaɖo nye agbe te, eye àva kplɔm ado goe tso anyigba ƒe tume ke.
What afflictions many and sore hast thou shewed me! yet thou didst turn and quicken me, and broughtest me again from the depths of the earth.
21 Àdzi nye bubu ɖe edzi, eye àgafa akɔ nam.
Thou didst multiply thy righteousness, and didst turn and comfort me, and broughtest me again out of the depths of the earth.
22 O! Nye Mawu, makafu wò kple kasaŋku le wò nuteƒewɔwɔ ta; madzi kafukafuha na wò kple gasaŋku, O! Israel ƒe Kɔkɔetɔ.
I will also therefore give thanks to thee, O God, [because of] thy truth, on an instrument of psalmody: I will sing psalms to thee on the harp, O Holy One of Israel.
23 Nye nuyiwo ado dzidzɔɣli, ne mele kafukafuhawo dzim na wò, nye ame si nèɖe.
My lips shall rejoice when I sing to thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.
24 Nye aɖe agblɔ wò dzɔdzɔenyenye ƒe dɔwo ŋkeke blibo la, elabena ŋukpe kple tɔtɔ va ame siwo di be yewoawɔ nuvevim la dzi.
Moreover also my tongue shall dwell all the day upon thy righteousness; when they shall be ashamed and confounded that seek my hurt.
